Again, I love it when your videos have the recaps over multiple time periods. It shows us how you think/react to whatever you experience. It is so much more useful to see it all in one video so we know what to expect and how to strategize. Fantastic video.
I agree totally Jelle. These root nearly as easily as chinese elm. I also took cuttings in July and they have all sent out roots too. What I love most is that you really don't need to think too hard when getting these. Glad you got the message out :)
I think spring makes us plant people a little giddy. I've been taking cuttings of all kinds of trees 😂 I have my garden shears in my car in case I see something special 😊
I don't know if it is encouraging or frustrating that it appears so easy. I have almost 100%failure rate with azaleas!! As in life; timing is everything, and I think that is my problem. I will just have to try again!
I never seem to be able to root azalea cuttings. I tried coarse sand, sand + coco coir and rooting hormone and still they die off . do you need to keep them under a humidity dome?
what soil mix do you use for Azaleas? I've just bought a discounted plant from the store, right after blooming, and it has thrown almost all leaves, but some small new are coming. What to do next, repot ( separate 4 to different pots) or let it get some more new leaves?
Good information. Have tried it and get about 60% rooting.
That sould like an excellent outcome!

I agree, I kinda have a few videos like that but their hard to film long term
Super!

Great timing on this topic! I love the long term updates you give, with years of video footage...
I’ve done this successfully for years. This is a very good tutorial, and it is the same method I use.
It sounds so easy! I have to learn to get my azalea to grow first Ha!
it is!
I like when you call the rooting hormone "jelly" a whole lot more!!! :)
Great video Jelle...
Nice job jelle keep up the good work mate thanks
I need some azaleas in my collection, great video
