In my mind, this build is for my grandma Susie, who loved purple, country life, and gardening. She passed two years ago today. ❤️ Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.

This house makes me miss an older lady that knew me from when I was a baby. Aunt Marty was her name and purple was her favorite colour. She loved it so much that literally everything she owned was a shade of purple. Clothes, dishes, couch, bed, curtains, you name it. Thanks for the good memories with this. I love it.

@@mimii444 honestly she’s had a lot of improvement recently. it’s been a long time since i’ve seen her do a boring base game build. she’s really been stepping out of her comfort zone with style and pack restriction
She should have a go at building a Siheyuan. It is a Chinese courtyard house with interesting history. In fact, I would recommend that she look at all sorts of architecture from other cultures. Not only will she learn new ways of building, but she will also learn more about the cultures and history associated with them. Some styles of housing like Siheyuans are not only big, but have a unique and complex setup. It would be immensely fun if she did research into those things and tried them out in the sims, as they would bring her out of her comfort zone and provide a challenge.
Simsie has been using wayyy more packs in each build and building much more unique things. I think as she posts daily, it’s probably easier to build a smaller house as it takes less time.
For her legacy challenge, she’ll post much bigger builds with loads of packs if you haven’t watched those already.
I love that you’re stepping out of your comfort zone lately, honestly it’s really inspiring me. All I build is suburbans or modern English homes 😂

Recently, I realized that if you use the brick square fireplace from cottage living, and then place the wall tv that comes off the wall quite a bit on its own, it fits perfectly and looks like it’s mounted on the fireplace!
Personally, this channel popped up on my home page as recommended. I’ve been watching for a couple months now. I bought sims 4 and a couple expansions you recommended. I learn a lot of tricks from your videos. Please keep sharing your tips!

It’s so funny how I hate the magenta items in the sims so much yet I just dyed my hair magenta with black streaks. Let’s be honest tho, WHY are there magenta counters 😐

My favourite place to put the Seasons decoration box is in the roof of my houses. Use move objects and you can just shove it in there out of the way and it still works because your sims don’t need to walk up to it, and I pretend they’ve stored it in the attic
i’m glad you mention some of the stuff such as the doll house to be fair, i only started playing sims in december (i know, i know i’m late to the game😂) and i’m still learning all these things so it’s nice to learn something new from your videos 😊
I definetly agree that it would be lovely to get a basegame friendly teaching career in the infant update. Especiallyyyy the day care career that would be so cool. Also i totally appreciate the repeating of sims tips cuz i literally always forget 😭

Since the sims has those bright magenta swatches, I’d love to see you build a house using those wall swatches. I pass by this really pretty blueish-teal victorian house on my way to college and would like to see it as a sims building

oh man… dating myself by saying my first Sims game was Sims Double Deluxe on my parents PC when I was 10 😅 and then my next was Sims Bustin’ Out for PS2. I still love Bustin’ Out and miss that my Sims never died so I had infinite time to reach my goals. 😅

Given what you said about pack limiting, you should do a random roll of three packs or w/e and do a full build with those plus base game.

I don’t know if you have tried this but I would love to see a build where *every room is a different aura* . If that makes sense??
Ex: a sad room and you make it blueish and add the clown picture
I also recently saw a video where if you have certain sims 3 packs- you get special lamps that give different auras.

Your talking points about all the secret/hidden or locked items that people dont even know are in the game are why a lot of people think the sims is boring. I wish the loading screens gave more actual hints.
Today I tried to furnish my sim's house using only items tagged as mid-century and I realized how cute some of the early couches are mesh-wise, but ended up with entirely unusable swatches. Especially that one from I think seasons or parenthood? With multi-color cushions and HORRENDOUS woods. Such a waste.
This is so accurate. And it makes me sad because even if we ever get another basegame swatch update it's actually some of those early packs that I wish had swatch updates.

Very few people know that you can build on Sixam, yes, in Sixam! There is a 20 by 20 lot there. You get there by building the rocket ship and upgrading it to have a wormhole. You go through the wormhole and there is a small space with a portal from Get to Work on it. I have seen Ms. Graphi do this, and I thought it would be interesting to see you do something with it. The Portal is to go home, and your rocket ship would already landed. Don't ask, it's the Sims. You can also collect plants, rocks, and little aliens.

i love your videos so much even though we have almost opposite building and gameplay styles. it's so rare that i ever play houses with more than 1 sim but every house i build has 2 bedrooms max and like 50 bathrooms. to be fair though, i build a lot of rooms that could be bedrooms and then make them skill building rooms cuz i know i'm only gonna play one sim at a time.
The cats and dogs quilt matches the big pet bed🥺 i know bc that swatch of the pet bed is one of my favorites that really just hit me in the feels

Often when I hear Kayla talk about odd lighting or colors, I do sort of wonder if her monitor is on some weird setting.
I use that decor box to get more money when doing the 100 baby challenge. There’s an option to rummage and when you do so many items come out and you can sell them. Got like 15k from it

I know your probably not going to see this, Kayla but I still would like to let you know. Your videos really inspire me to make houses like you but I was just moving my people in the house and the game deleted all my work and I have been crying myself to sleep because that was my first ever house I've built in the sims 4. It was really sad to see all my work just gone because I've spent sleepless nights watching your videos to inspire what room should look like what so thank you for posting videos that I can work off of to make nice houses. BTW i loved the killing nacy landgrab video it really made me feel better about my house That got destroyed by sims 4. Thank you for all you have done to inspire me it got me thourgh my house being destroyed. I hope you have a good year. 😞

get rich quick off of the “search for decorations” interaction on the decor box. your sim will get 3-5 decor items each time they do it and i don’t think there is a limit.

Here is some kind of building challenge;
You know how the game got those ready-to-go rooms? Like livingrooms, kitchens etc.
Try to build a house by only usin those rooms. You can only use the items that are in the room already, but you can move then and you can move walls to make the house not look so boxy 😅

It’s even worse if I don’t like the first swatch. There is a zebra rug that is either base game or came with an early pack that I just ignored because like…I never want a zebra rug. I was filtering by color and discovered it has some really nice usable swatches.

its interesting hearing what sims game was peoples first. i remember being 5 or 6 playing sims 2 giving people astrology signs and shit. making sims with the VERY limited 5 or so skin tones the game had. crazy to think about how borderline unplayable it is now lol
