As of 2022 if you use the EA Launcher and not the Origin Launcher make sure to choose EA App Installer. And also if you edited your controller mapping you will need to reset to default because it will remember it and you dont want that

And this would never have crossed my mind, because I got the game from my XBox Game Pass, and play through EA/Origin. I never use Steam, so it does not add up to me. Guys unfortunately if this isn’t working…disconnect your keyboard. Tried this whole process and don’t know if it worked or not. But when I’m in the settings for the remote I believe that having the keyboard being recognized was an issue. Disconnected the keyboard and remote started working perfect.
This worked for me. The weird thing is that on my main desktop ds4 works like a charm but steam doesn't. But on my laptops ds4 doesn't and steam does. Even with this new laptop only steam following this method worked.

I have an issue where my PS4 controller keybinds seem to just be all randomized. Like X moves my cursor down, and O does absolutely nothing, and right trigger does something random and so on. Ughhhh so annoying!
There’s two things you can do about that issue you can change the controller key binds settings in steam or you can change the settings in battlefield I do know in the early access changing some controller key binds would crash the game

it kinda worked, my controller is working, but not all the buttons are working, only L2 R2 en joystick all the other buttons don't do anthing, is pretty weird it says B to go back but somehow is this L2 on my controller
Make sure your Controller settings are set the default in game you might have to re-bind some of them there’s been a weird issues popping up everywhere
no only basic controller config's will work.. you can get a xbox elite controller and change it through the app but i don't know if it will transfer over to steam. i have never tested it
@@aarons5535 I have been unable to duplicate what is going on if this fix is not working Been trying to find a different fix for 2 days with no luck. Let’s hope EA does something about this issue. If I figure out a different way I will definitely be posting it here so keep your eye out

FIXXXXXED. I had a program downloaded on my pc called vJoy. it was used for for my steering wheel for sim racing titles\games. Deleted it, and controller works perfectly now. hope this may help a few people.
XSX controller My Xsx controller buttons are mix up, not just in games but also menu. The problem only for this bf2042, I bought it on Epic, my other games in steam or battlenet works good, also when I use cable to connect controller it works properly, there’s might be something wrong with Bluetooth controller mapping, does any body have same experience or knows the solution?
Never herd of this one. Maybe it’s something in the epic app? I do know when they launched 2042 there was issues with buttons remapping them selves after each match and you had to turn off the controller portion it was blocking the ability to use keyboard at times. Sorry I can’t be more help keep asking somebody will know what the issue is or if there is a work around

That’s a new one to me sounds like it might be Internet issue or something dice may need to fix. It’s not a controller issue I do know dice confirmed that they forgot to put collisions on buildings… maybe lower your graphics settings see if that takes care of the glitch
Your file path should take you to the all of the Origin files and the origin.EXE file is in there games are usually under documents my games that general area if play on a pc
You can add the game to your steam library. It should still work the same. I don’t have a video about that RUclips how to add a non steam game to your steam library.

@@phantomwolfy1 Launch the game through the origin shortcut that you added in big screen mode it will open the origin app and then launch Battlefield 2042 from there
This doesnt work if you have a controller with extra buttons like a Razer Raiju / Wolverine. The controller immediately pitches up when in a vehicle and crashes. The control sensitivity inside the game is controlled by the MOUSE+KEYBOARD settings and NOT the controller settings so it's simply remapping your keyboard and mouse to your controller which SUCKS. Like, it's unplayable for me unless I seriously modify my sensitivity settings for the mouse and when I do use the mouse for running around (for example) it disconnects my controller and the mouse is EXTREMELY sensitive. Such a piece of shit game. Overly complexed and doesn't just work out of the box. I mean disabling easy controller use and hiding it behind all these settings / sub settings and setup techniques. A testament to what complete jokers create this game. I'm so fucking angry I've wasted my time and money on this piece of shit title.
I know right. I’ve just switched from ps5 to pc and it’s frustrating how games on pc can’t even connect a controller and also some games need other files downloaded to make the games work properly. It’s just so much effort to do all this just for a controller to connect. Consoles are much easier and simple

Origin us giving me nothing but trouble. Battlefield and titan fall 2 are not working properly and basically unplayable.

Make sure you do everything in the pinned post. If you purchased the game through epic games it is not working and I don’t have a fix for it yet
