Same. But this is a CPU issue, not a GPU issue.
I've gone through the in-game settings and lowered them once before but recently my game started crashing like every few minutes, so I followed this video and for some reason it was now set to 1440p with all settings set to high and ultra.
This game is unreasonably demanding even for the newer graphics cards.
I have a 3070 and it's dying everytime I play.

Ok, I tried most of what you mentioned and I didn't get any meaningful uplift in FPS. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the NVIDIA scaling stuff
This is very possible, if you enable perfover.drawfps 1 then you will see that gpu fps is actually high but cpu fps draws the smoothness down, even on very powerful systems. There is a cpu usage problem or something. It's mostly in 128 player modes. I have 9900K at 5.2 GHz and 5900X at 4.7 GHz and both systems have cpu fps (top number in perfoverlay) drop to red and yellow at times, even tho my gpu is at 100-200 fps (RTX 3080)

Im on a GTX 1650 and Ryzen 5 3600 and i was getting 55-60 fps on low graphics, and holy shit i was not expecting the FPS increase like that, now im getting a steady 60-65 FPS and it hasnt dipped below 60 even in when chaos is all around. Thanks man, keep up the good work

Man you have no idea how much I thank you, I have a 3060ti but paired with an old cpu a i5-8400, I was getting desperate since at first I was getting 60 fps on conquest but all of the sudden it got to 38 - 55 fps in best scenarios, I had no idea what to do now I play 60+ all the time, the improvement was insane

These settings made 2042 run a little better, or atleast look a little clearer.
But BFV crash ever single time i try to start it up and i have no idea what exactly i need to change back, so i reset everything in the Geforce control panel and now it works again..

Not really a good guide. Literally just tells you to lower everything and lower the resolution... That is the main way for every game to get better fps.
You can just use DLSS with the 3080 Ti to get better performance.
setting windows itself to performance mode helped the most for me. I would add that as another option.
I have a 2080 on my Desktop and i only see the option "Image Sharpening". I double checked to make sure i'm on the latest driver.

@@weetjewatikwil1 is it still that bad. On the free weekend, I had to change virtually all of my display setting just to get it to be a little less laggy. I wouldn't have minded if it was an old PC but I put a high end one for COD and BF and neither played particular that well (although COD was effected by the ridiculous grenade and fire spam
I have over 100 hours logged but maybe less than half of that was gameplay how stuck in and out of troubleshooting I have been trying. Anyway I followed the advice especially config files IMO made biggest difference. So then I started doing the same for my arma 3 and etc.. thanks dude. Feels like a new game
That NSi thing absolutely crashed my game
Had to go into the settings file and change the reslution after turnong nsi off in nvidia control centre
My game kept crashing when changing the resolution back to normal in game

Did all your settings and my game is barely playable now. Reverting everything doesn't seem to get rid of the now present stutter. So now I'm reinstalling and hoping that'll fix it.

First of all this video is awsome. However I'm curious about Nis. When I use it it works just as you described but when I lower the resolution is starts looking worse but my fps doesn't rise much if any. Could my frame counter be incorrect? I'm using nvidia GeForce experience to measure.

amazing video, crazy that with these settings it is such an improvement. I am heavily cpu bound and most of these settings would just help gpu but they made me go from 40-50 fps to a steady 90 fps

Ok so this worked for me but I also did a wipe on my hard drives so idk if that could of been a factor but I went from 35fps to 80 plus in game thanks subbed.
I game on 3 monitors 165hz on a 4 monitor setup with a Ryzen 9 3950X 6700XT plus and have had the game crash my system 3 times this past week and some glitching in game while streaming. will be trying your recommendations.

Something I’m sharing on all videos is what I’ve done recently for a performance boost. Reverted back to old nvidia driver from June/July time. Getting solid 70 to 80fps and no stutter. Occasionally dips to late 60s but very rarely. And certain parts of break away it goes into the 90s. I am running a 2700x(SMT off) and a GTX 1080 at 1440P. All settings low besides texture quality and filtering which are both set to high.

DDU with NVSLimmer is the best fix for most problems..my gpu would never go below 60 degrees even at idle.. ran DDU with a fresh driver..idles at 40 now.. crazy how config files can jack shit up

Edit : For some reason every time I restart the game , it goes back to the state where it starts lagging and I don't even get 30 fps . I have to follow some steps again to get 60 fps
If it's the command prompt in game stuff you can write it into a .cfg file and it will enable everytime without you doing anything.

@@MrViperman44 It's trash either way. It's bottled @ cpu, he can run it all on max and it won't change anything fps wise if he has a competent system.
Something’s definitely up with your pc. I run at 65 to 85 fps consistently at 1440p mostly low settings. Ryzen 7 3700x, GTX 1070, 16gb 3600mhz cas 14 ram.
I changed all the settings you said except for switching all ingame settings to low, but now certain shadows look grainy and awful. Which settings do I revert to fix this issue?
I found something that has been causing atleast some of the issues in BF2042 . The cashe folder in my bf2042 documents folder will just keep on filling up the more i play the game and never empty's on it's own . I have never seen this before most games don't go for stacking the cashe endlessly until your drive runs out of space . 😂
In the power plans section I only got balanced... How can I config? I checked your description, but there is nothing about a power plan

I can't change any of the nvidia control panel settings without being locked at 60hz, I'm normally at 144hz but it puts me at 60 after using those settings and I can't change back to 144 unless I go back to my default settings

I have a problem with BF2042, Lately, I upgraded my CPU from Ryzen 3600 to Ryzen 7 3800x. If I Open Ryzen Master and enable Precision Boost Overdrive the game shuts down after a few minutes, the same happened if I tried to overclock the processor to just 4.2ghz. If I leave everything Stock the game works but I don't feel that I'm getting the same performance as I once did with my old Ryzen 3600. Can you help me or give me advice Pls?

I gained a lot of performance and stability,, but then it'd just keep breaking whenever I'd mouse over things in the menu. Would go from highest FPS possible down to 3 FPS often

Edit: I had to disable image scaling, that was the problem. Apart from that I followed everything else and it made zero difference to performance.. i7-11700, RTX 3080, 32GB.. Get 55 - 80 fps.. ridiculous.. I Wouldn't recommend any of these settings for higher end PC's... Also the DX 12 config change does not work because the game runs in DX 12 by default, this is a placebo effect and does not change performance one bit.
How do I really turn off the render resolution? If I disable it from normal settings I see worse than the console if I put for example 1.3, I really want it to turn it off from there how do I do?

Don't get me wrong, it might help you, but at the end of the day DICE just need to fix the optimisation issues.
I feel all we can really do is wait, tweaking all these settings just isn't gona fix unfortunately lads :(
