All? Even the men of the Wehrmacht? If so. Bless you. People keep saying the Wehrmacht were Nazi’s too. But each man of the Wehrmacht had hearts of gold. When they saw the S.S mistreating Prisoners old or young by not feeding them they would shove bread through the bars. An example is from a documentary where it shows children aboard a train behind bars being moved by the S.S nearby Wehrmacht troops begin to feed them. When the S.S Officer threatens them they just threaten back. Plus most General’s of the Wehrmacht hated Hitler. They were just young men who wanted to protect their country unlike the S.S.....

I love hearing your stories in North Korea, they are my favorite parts of these videos. These stories humanize North Korean people, it helps me connect to North Korean people, despite the negative attention portrayed in American media. It is rare for American's to feel empathy for North Korean people, but I your videos have helped me achieve this. The first time I felt this empathy was when I was in China studying Chinese. There was a class of North Koreans at our Chinese university. One day our teacher told us that these North Koreans were Chinese teachers in North Korea, and they would be observing our class the next day Excitedly, I told my Chinese teacher that I knew a little Korean. The next day, we (Americans) walked into the classroom and the North Koreans were all patiently waiting; sitting in the chairs behind us. This was the first time I was ever in a room with a North Korean, I was anxious as to what they thought of us and I wished I could talk to them and try to be friends. The class proceeded as normal until the end of the day. My Chinese teacher told the North Koreans that I spoke some Korean and asked me to say something...I was shocked, I didn't know what to say at all...I just said the first thing that came to my mind: "
김치 찌개 맛있어요!" :DD The North Koreans all smiled, laughed and gave a small applause. Seeing these North Koreans smile, laugh really humbled my opinion of North Korean people. All the previous anxiety evaporated and I realized how much American media really skewed my mind in a negative manner towards NK people. I realized how wrong my bias of North Korean people was. These small interactions of empathy and humanization between North Korea, South Korea and the United States is really important!! Keep telling your stories!

You partially correct that some Americans can not empathize. They are the young ones that haven't been taught history and are being brainwashed in our schools and universities. They haven't been exposed to it unless they are Cuban. This is the tragedy of our society..total ignorance of the past.

No military family member doesn't immediately know what the uniformed men at the door are there for. It would be a surprise if they were there for any other reason. It would be more accurate if she was immediately fearful or breaking down in tears.

@@shibby1103 I think since the Nazies were so impactful on the soviets, and the soviets spread communism to China and DPRK that its prolly remembered for being an evil imperialist movement that tryed to kill the soviets, and they probably connect it to the US...tho at the same time after the fall of the soviet union that probably wouldve only become a taught in a north Korean university thing...Tho another thing is it wouldve been hard because of the North Korean mindset to hear bad things about the germans while being allies and getting various supplies from East germany in the cold war...tho this could be reasoned as america making the nazies or some shit

If there was one thing that I would want the people, civilian and military alike, of North Korea to know is just how many of us have fought and died for the freedom of people from countries other than America. For us, it isn't so much about OUR freedom, it's more about EVERYONES freedom. I was a U.S. Marine, and I served in many countries, training and fighting to defend their freedom to live as they choose. I wish the same for you, and I hope that soon you are reunited with your families as well.

The National Geographic killed in action video was just a reenactment. The soldiers that deliver the news are much more emotional and not quite as formal. I also want to note that there will be a large ceremony, a motorcade in that veterans hometown and they will get a military burial. So it’s not as cold as that reenactment made it seem. We also provide counseling service for their coworkers and families.

I am heartened that regardless of country, language, beliefs & rules, body language is Universal first language & that our collective Hearts have the same out pouring & understanding when faced with War. All feel their family's fears in tears start to melt away when seeing them return home alive. All feel empathy when a loved one in the military service does not return, the collective Heart breaks but it is very evident that "The World Community" does NOT want anymore Wars. Just imagine "because i do", collectively laying down Arms before The Warmonger(s) world wide & refusing to fight their wars, just saying No More, we are done with you.... If Warmongers Want War, let them fight it themselves! Only time anyone need fight a war, is during an invasion. Much Love ❤️

I pray for a day that there is no more war and that the people of North Korea can be as free as us. These two really show the truth that no matter what country you are from, people have heart and feelings and are basically good. Those North Korean parents grieve the loss of their military loved ones when they pass just as much as anyone else. Much respect to you guys for reminding us that the DPRK soldiers are human beings same as everyone else! You only know what you are taught and the Kim's have been brainwashing the people since they were born.
