You found a solid S Class ship system, if you go planetside and sit at a Trade Station, you will see more models than what show up in the space station, especially the Solar ships.

You should try salvaging parts from other ships and build your own ship

I ship hunt constantly and still haven't done that. Can you snag parts from any kind of ship? Probably not living ships.

@@digthathole5521 currently you can salvage parts from the 3 basic types and solar. You can’t mix and match ship types; Fighter parts can only be used to build a fighter, for example. You will have to buy the engine cores from the ship module vendor and it will determine which class of ship you can build. Also, the station used to craft the ship will affect the super charged slot locations.

@@digthathole5521 yeah i prefer building my own ship since it’s easier to find a part that u like rather than a whole ship, plus u can chose the color etc. But yeah I can only take parts from fighter, hauler and explorer class ships so that are the only ship types u can build

Wish we could build shuttles. There are a few arrangements that actually look good, like they can actually fly. But they are few and far between lol.
Be nice to make one that doesn't look like a heap of broken dishwashers lashed together.

The cost of ships seems to mostly scale with the amount of slots you have. Its possibly due to how expensive it is to upgrade them without the right items. If you check and try to upgrade the number of inventory or tech slots it gets pretty insane and can even make late game players who have maxed out their money poor in short order if you upgrade a ship like that.

  • @steveheffner

Haulers well really most ships come in different size categories and correspond price points. If I remember correctly there are 3 tiers.
That being said, you can through upgrade modules/paying units/nanites unlock all of the slots for cargo/tech in any ship and also upgrade the ship to S class. Is it worth it? /shrug that is always a personal choice/answer. Since we can custom build haulers/explorers/fighters/solar those kind of have a nice perk to choosing them.
ME personally I normally run with a small size ship and just max it out. Generally it is an exotic the golf ball ones. If it is on another non main run I tend to find an ok explorer I can live with till I find an exotic. Right now I am running with a living ship. Getting upgrades for it is .. well a PIA. You have to have frigate runs to get the sac's to give upgrades(tech and also slots). Granted there is a system you can do 2 pulse drive runs to get tech, and the living ship you can upgrade the tech to S tier just by spending some nanites which is nice. Still overall a slog, but I do like my living ship and how it looks.

That tech packet strat is just great. Upgraded my ship after seeing that video and now if I happen to be in a pirate sector I'll do a quick buy and dump for a few thousand nanites. In fact now I'm just giving away my running mold to anybody at the anomaly with a starter ship.

I have a few different saves with different difficulties I play on so I use those to collect different types. One save is only interceptors, one has my expedition reward ships with my custom builds and the other rare ships like exotics and eventually living ships. I even have my squadron match the ship types of that save.

@@jonathangebert3006 Worlds part one was my first time getting deep into NMS. Played for maybe 5 hours before but something about this time really pulled me in. I can imagine once you have unique expedition ships it becomes even more of a problem. Matching squadron is what I'm working towards now. Going for the radiant pillar cockpit with variations of the droid wings. Another goal is trying to collect all the variations of the white/gold guppy ship

      @@Missingwodahs-gb1fj Most of the time.
I am always looking for hazard protection mods, cus X class is the only class they come in.
Sometimes the 750 nanite ones are all 10%+ across all 4 elements, and sometimes is just a 2-2-2-2.
There is no knowing. I dupilcated some to see when the stats are rolled, they don't roll til you install them. I got some good ones and bad ones from a single duplicated mod.
