  • Thank you to everyone for the love and support over the coming months, this channel has grown and grown beyond my expectations! So a big shoutout to everyone tuning in!
    So here we go, imagine it’s the end of the Cold War, surplus tanks that were left, rotting and rusting in some west German yard, that’s the vibe I’m going with haha
    Small dio base to showcase it on, pretty simple but amazingly effective!
    Hope you enjoy the video, I had a lot of fun messing around with rusting stuff and making it look almost abandoned.
    Thanks again to everyone you guys are great
    Peace ✌🏼

      Thanks Alan! It’s a pretty decent quick little kit! Should be posting more soon, problem is my studio is my garage and in the winter months, it’s rather cold! 😂 but will soon pick back up

    Hey buddy, I love your work, can you show me how did you do the flag ?

    • @135scalefail
      @135scalefail  6 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, thank you so much, and all I did to make the flag, was cut up a square/rectangle piece of tissue (not toilet roll) tissue you get from the little packs? And just used a pencil to draw it out and painted it with some thinned down tamiya paint, then Jobs a gooden! Hope that’s helpful?

    Great video, lovely finish! Can I ask what the clear liquid you apply before the pigments is?

    • @135scalefail
      @135scalefail  4 месяца назад

      Cheers dude! Appreciate it, and yeah sure, I just used some clear 3D printing resin and let it pool in like a round dome shape before I cured it with my uv touch and broke it up to make it look like clear glass broken? Hope that’s helpful?

      Cheers! I was actually wondering about the thinner stuff you flow into the wheels before the pigments!! Good tip on the clear printing resin though, I have some of that and now have another use for it!!!

    • @135scalefail
      @135scalefail  4 месяца назад

      This hobby is already expensive enough! Gotta find a use for everything haha! And the thinner is just standard enamel thinner, think it’s the humbol one? Makes the pigment stick a bit better? But can still brush away any excess?

    What did you use to take the top layer of green off reveal the hull red, also how did you make the stowage bins look distorted, damaged and bent.
    Great video and great talent 👍

      Hey Craig, thanks for the compliment, and for the chipping I used AK heavy chipping fluid in the airbrush, just spray it on let it dry, paint your top coat and use warm water with a stiff brush to take it off, and the stowage bins I used a tealight candle and softened the plastic and used the butt end of a paint brush to add a dent. Hope that’s helpful?

      @@135scalefail Hey dont mention it, I really enjoyed the video it was very educational i'm pretty much new to detailed modelling, i've almost finished a T-34/76 and my first attempt at detailing... weathering, chipping etc.
      My next challenge is the Mk 5 and i'd like to dedicate the Mk 5 build to my old Sgt and my father who both served during the tanks service.

    Hello again bud, what material did you use to wrap around the gun barrel, thank in advance.

    • @135scalefail
      @135scalefail  9 месяцев назад

      Hey Craig, i used a cut up piece of tissue, not toilet roll, find that’s too brittle, the type you find in the pocket packs of tissue, mixed in with some pva and water and you have a nice tarp/canvas

      @@135scalefail ok cool thanks, i assume the same material for the turret (base of the barrel).

      @135scalefail  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah that’s right I’m going to assume your building something similar?

      @@135scalefail yeah i got the Mk5 a few days ago, i'm wanting to paint it black and green, but i'm not too keen on nato black, i'm also considering adding some cam net to the side bins on the turret.

      Hello again, do you have any ideas to help me with making front mudflaps for the Mk5
