Can you recommend for me where I can buy the whole set of the locksmith tools that you were using.... Thank you very much for showing that this can be done in a few streps
I want to add key making to my auto repair business. What kind of machine would you recommend overall to go with? also what else do I need to stock up on once I get machine? If European is a separate setup I can do without it im more focused on American manufactures. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the video. I guess the cloning can be done with various cloning machines such as Silca RW4 Plus or so. This was stand alone key. If it were a fob key (like the customer's fob), you would use a programmer such as AutoProPad. Is that correct?
When you program with it says ie programmed keys: 1 I wonder now when he cloned another key it still stays at 1 and to "learn another key" there has to be a remote/fob involved.
Hi Sir, Very detail explanation on cloning the chips. May i request you to please show how to close remote control for the car and explain what remote control unit that can be purchase. Also, can you show link where to buy the blank key with slot for installing the chips. THanks and more power to your channel.
Ive been looking into the xhorse. I do road side and have been thinking of adding this service. Can you tell me does the vvdi. Still work after a year for programming. Have heard people say it doesn’t. Also heard people say they have trouble using the points and the tokens. I think the avg keys I’ll be doing would be, ford,gm,dodge, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, vw. Have seen some of the stuff about solderless fobs for programming but not sure if I would want to start with that. So for the brands I mentioned would xhorse be able to do say 5-10 keys and programming a day. Would you recommend it for alot of cars that use push button.
Can u use a different style key fob (flip blade with remote button embedded ) from Honda to clone an older generation regular nonflip key with separate remote fob? 🤔
I have had a world of problems with my Alfa 159 key. Had only one person who tried to help. To was able to sort me with a key to start the car by using my key reader from my car dash ( slot key push’s into, push button start) but the key won’t lock/ unlock the car? He thought it would. Any ideas would be gratefully received as Alfa themselves cannot supply a key as they no longer produce them. The guy I sent my key reader too wiped an older keys memory and programmed it from my key reader. It as I say won’t lock my car. Can’t take car to him as he is in a different country Can anyone explain why this new key wouldn’t lock/unlock the doors but starts the car.
Another great video, I have a Question. I'm retired living in central Florida and was wondering what the investment and earning potential might be to start a key and remote replacement business specifically targeting the public through ad's in the local papers and Craig's List and other sources like used car dealers, rental agencies, etc.
with a modest investment you can make great return. Get your self a Keytool Mini (this same machine shown in video so you can clone the transponder chip and generate rmeotes. Get a key cutter like the condor dolphin xp005 and get an auto pro pad and autel im508 to program new keys to the car. Total would be around 4 to 6k to get started but if you hustle you can make that money back fairly quickly.
@@123jaharris autel is for programming. Cloning is for when you have a key already, your basically duplicating the programming when you clone. If you have a customer who lost all keys, you can use a programmer to program the transponder. Autel im508 for example
Fob and key transponder are not related in any way. Fob buttons work door locks, alarms, etc, but have nothing to do with starting the car. All of them that I've seen can be linked to the car through a simple procedure that the owner can do, but the immobilizer requires a device and/or software to be told to accept a particular transponder code. A clone transponder simply sends the same code that an already-mated key sends to the car, just like the duplicated key has the same cuts.
@@SoloPilot6 not true newer cars use key fobs to open and start the vehicle you need a tool like the Autel IM608 with the XP400 pro to program key fobs you can do all keys lost and program as many key FOBS as the car allows, each is different.
you canoot clone fobs. You can Generate a remote, but you will need a programmer to program it to the car. This machine only clones transponders within the car key. Generating means you prepare a remote for programming

Isn't the Sprinter essentially a Mercedes Benz truck? There is a video posted here on RUclips by an "official" locksmith who states that German car keys cannot be duplicated, either physically, as in a cut metal key, or electronically, as in cloning a chip. I happen to have a VW, and need a backup key, even if I don't have a remote central locking control. Any recommendations, other than high priced dealerships? Thanks.
As a Locksmith based in Europe, I can confirm that German keys can be duplicated no problem. All of the blades can be duplicated same as any other key, and most of them have clonable chips. The ones that do not have clonable chips can be programmed via OBD or EEPROM chip. Your best bet is to contact a few local auto-locksmiths and ask them for quotes, they will likely be a lot cheaper than the main dealerships. Hope this helps!
@@davidhamilton9261 Thank you for the reply and suggestion. I would be happy just to get a physical key duplicated. I bought the car used, and received only one key, and my fear is the 'helpful' 30 second delay auto lock will catch me unprepared and lock that only key inside the car if I should not pay attention and leave it on the seat without noticing. I already went to a local locksmith with my Ebay purchased key blank, but he refused to cut the key, claiming that internet purchased blanks break the cutting bits on his key cutting machine. People who don't know about the hardness of different metals, or the process required to harden steel objects may believe that story, but I don't. My father was a tool and die maker, and I know that a steel piece gets heat treat hardening AFTER all machining, cutting, milling, and drilling is done. None of those procedures are performed on key blanks.
You use something called lishi tool which have number on the side of the tool. You have to buy specific key for the vehicle it's basically picking the lock. after you pick and note down all the number you can put in that key cutter and it cuts the key. Also some locksmith can cut the key if you have the picture of the key.
