Locksmith from Australia here. Loved your video. Love to see locksmiths actually using their skills picking and decoding locks rather then ringing around for a key code. Very lucky to have such awesome workers representing your company. Keep up the good work. Also I’m probably one of many that could actually see you pumped the door open to get onto the window winder with your Long reach tool to wind the window down. Also I use wd40 all the time on sticky wafers. Nothing wrong with using it and I find it works great freeing them up. I dont know where this massive myth about wd40 gumming up locks came from. Any lubricant you put in a lock is going to attract any dirt/sand/grass clippings etc if it’s on a key blade. Honestly great job. 😀👍
This was really interesting to watch and to know there are specialized services like this. Like someone else mentions, this screams "i love my job". Speaks to how I see my own job too. Great work for the editing too.. 5 🌟
did not give her enough credit! made her job look and sound easy! my group of locksmiths can hardly pick let alone decode and she did all 3 including cutting and programing the key same day wow I need more I could watch for hours
Love the concept and storytelling of this video. It's really nice to see things from her perspective about the work that you do. I really love how she takes time to enjoy the scenery as she journeys. 😁
Our team of locksmiths cover the entire UK and Ireland and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will always aim to reach you within two hours of your initial call.
My son has always been in to gadgets and good with working on things. He's 19 and would like to get into this. Our state doesnt require a apprenticeship here. However, he has been given an offer to train as he has absolutely NO EXPERIENCE. He was offered a 5 day training with Dr Locksmith, but I am wondering is this good for the person with NO experience.
Hello, training would enable your son to progress from a complete lack of understanding to having knowledge. He would gain some practical experience if the training is hands-on, which it should be. However, we don't believe your son can be completely professional in 5 days, but it could be a start. We also provide locksmith training, which is available at wevegotthekey.co.uk/locksmiths-training/ You may check there to see what needs to be learned and compare it to what he is learning to understand. We certainly hope this was helpful?
Very cool to see you using lishi tools, as well as the old air wedge, etc.. I liked that slider-lock key cutter. Makes sense you'd have these tools in your van. Respect. Are you picking things like Medecos or disc detainers like Abloys, etc.? Just curious what kinds of challenges you face on that end of things. I like to pick and I'm thinking of apprenticing. Any thoughts or advice?
I’m a female around the same age as you and I have been debating a career change for a while, locksmithing fits my particular skill set and watching this video has given me so much confidence. Any advice for female who work in blue collar trade (male dominated) ?
try get an apprenticeship at a company that covers all scopes of locksmithing, a lot of companies specialise in one sector. well that's what its like in australia. some locksmiths are purely safe related, whereas some are purely automotive with some commercial/residental chucked in. its a really rewarding trade, especially if you get good at your job. youve got this!
Pretty random in my experience. Sometimes your next job is down the street and then the next job will be a half hour away. Just depends on who calls in that day and where they happen to be located.
shhhhhhhhh don't tell them!!! they keep me happy and rich by producing issues where I come in and fix them for money. we literally earn a living wage by stupidity of others.
I have a question. I had a locksmith recut a key. The key locks the door but does not unlock the door. Is it a lock malfunction or did the key get cut wrong? Thanks !
So I'm guessing this is in the UK right? I haven't mastered the Ford tibbe lishi. Here in America really only jaguar and the ford transit vans have tibbe keys. We don't get many calls for them. And our steering wheels are on the other side lol.
Hello. Yes! This is in the UK. Driving with the steering wheel placement here in the Uk will feel different for you at first but you will get used to it 😊
A locksmith using wd-40 upsets me. Houdini is vastly superior. WD had no lubricity once the vehicle evaporates then it gums up the lock. It is mineral oil and fragrance . WD is good for removing ink, adhesives and keeping liquid oxygen from freezing to the outside of rockets for which it was formulated but not for locks. Yes being a locksmith is a great job to have

Before you spend a cent in this industry advertise your services and see how little the work is available The only people making money is the training and tool suppliers. DON’T BELIVE THEIR LIES
Please to watch. But this is 5% of automotive locksmithing. Much is terrible, filthy cars, demanding customers and situations that are impossible to fix. Nicely produced video.
@@shomari17 No. I would say 20% of time there is some complication such as, secondary alarm system installed, dogs seem to be living in the car, pit bull dogs running around, customer does not have all the money or go to my husbands workplace to get paid, none of my scanners will do the job, worn or dirty cylinder needs replaced, intense perfume in car, customer wants to watch every tiny detail asking questions etc. As Yogi Berra would say, half the time I love it, half the time its just a job and the other half I hate it.

Without tattoo is better. Tattoo is very ugly!
I’ve been a locksmith almost 2 years now. Really enjoy the continuous learning process.
How much can a locksmith make. Owning there own equipment a year working for themselves?
How long does it take to become qualified and how much does it cost if self-fumdied?
Whoever shot, this master piece did a great job. This is beautiful story telling brought to life by crazy cinematography and editing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A typical sales pitch promotional video by the very same company
@@johnbrennan7175 not really. Some of the vehicles in the video are a pain and take a lot of skill to do.

The cinematography is amazing. I
High-quality grading and well-detailed documentary.
This was interesting to watch. I love that I didn’t only hear that she loves what she does, I saw it too. Brilliantly put together! 👏👏
Looking to becoming a locksmith and found your channel. Well done! New Sub.
Great video, highlighting what a lock smith does in an interesting way
Great video and good quality
This iscreams passion for the job. If I ever had a key problem, I'd want her on it! 👌🏽
I love when people love their jobs. By the way I appreciate the video quality. Enjoyable
Well detailed! 💫

You should give a tour of your van
Those are my favorite videos to see how different locksmiths do it
Amazing. Love this. Love when companies show bts

I am a hobby lock picker and seeing the professional side of my hobby is super interesting.
Awesome! Great to see a non-stereotypical film. Great story-telling and visuals! Do you guys operate in London?
Our team of locksmiths cover the entire UK and Ireland and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will always aim to reach you within two hours of your initial call.
I used to bring my best friend Barney all the time with me too before he passed away
She’s an absolute beauty!
I believe the place she was talking about, was Thornton reservoir
1:30 Did she just use the airbags to open a car whose window is halfway down and that's how she unlocked it? 😆 Hope she gave a discount 🤔

Ey amazing video! I’m looking into it to get licensed on auto locksmith 😎 would you advice me on which course should I start?
Where did you do your training?
Very interesting, is the can of CRC/WD40 just for lubricating locks or do you use the pressure in the can for something else?
How did people get into the trade? Currently trying with no luck
Very cool to see you using lishi tools, as well as the old air wedge, etc.. I liked that slider-lock key cutter. Makes sense you'd have these tools in your van. Respect.

Seams so interesting
What do you do when you unlock it and someone doesn't pay.? Serious question

If anyone knows, is it common for locksmiths to travel so far daily, or are you able to find work that's more localized?
Pretty random in my experience. Sometimes your next job is down the street and then the next job will be a half hour away. Just depends on who calls in that day and where they happen to be located.
One thing you don’t use on locks is WD40 ,
shhhhhhhhh don't tell them!!!
they keep me happy and rich by producing issues where I come in and fix them for money. we literally earn a living wage by stupidity of others.
Interesting!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Am motivated to not waste my certification; will be a late career change for me in the USA and likely pay cut, but it has to begin.
I have a question. I had a locksmith recut a key. The key locks the door but does not unlock the door. Is it a lock malfunction or did the key get cut wrong? Thanks !
Hy nice to see this video.
Been a locksmith for more then 6 years and I'm enjoying every day.
I'm learning fast kurdish from iraq.
Que lindo es tener todas las herramientas y los medios para poder trabajar de manera super eficiente 🙏🏻🙌🏻💪🏻
Love her accent.
What’s a good company that will hire and train a locksmith in Portland Oregon USA.
So I'm guessing this is in the UK right? I haven't mastered the Ford tibbe lishi. Here in America really only jaguar and the ford transit vans have tibbe keys. We don't get many calls for them.

This is lovely but that first van... That window was basically all the way down 😅
I get it though, very cinematic
That what people mean by build your customers lol bc If I get into a car in 2 mins they don’t want to pay anymore 😅
We understand this dilemma, maybe you can explain how many years experience or learning you had to do to make that 2 minutes
I’m becoming a locksmith. Is that a good career?
depending on what country youre in, and how good you become. get on afterhours, smash jobs out, youll be rolling
What a nice lady
Nice

no locksmith use wd 40 maybe on door hinges but..
Lmaoooo what first thing every locksmith knows not to use wd40 and two she literally pumped the door open as the dawn window was down
Huh the cam in her hand definitely looks like a wd40 can
Please to watch. But this is 5% of automotive locksmithing. Much is terrible, filthy cars, demanding customers and situations that are impossible to fix. Nicely produced video.
So you are saying 95 percent of the time your job is crappy?
@@shomari17 No. I would say 20% of time there is some complication such as, secondary alarm system installed, dogs seem to be living in the car, pit bull dogs running around, customer does not have all the money or go to my husbands workplace to get paid, none of my scanners will do the job, worn or dirty cylinder needs replaced, intense perfume in car, customer wants to watch every tiny detail asking questions etc. As Yogi Berra would say, half the time I love it, half the time its just a job and the other half I hate it.
Horrible she didn’t do one job except for drive around and then tell us about her POS system. I want my eight minutes of life back.
