I would love to get licensed but i dont need to in Kansas. Would it be beneficial still for me so it makes me look more professional?
I’m 68 yrs old. Live in small community in lake county. Retired from government job. I did mostly carpentry till my knees gave out.
They sent me to the lock shop for my last 6 yrs, unfortunately the person with the most experience retired before I got there. The guy that wasn’t knowledgeable at all.
I learned how to do things on my own, we use the best lock system and I got very good at it.
I now live in lake country, and do the odd job here. Learning curve for residential locks has been interesting at the least.
Wish I would have had the opportunity to learn more.
Sounds a lot like the VA in Massachusetts locksmith shop.
The current ls was a carpenter, and as a vet and a locksmith the VA hospital is on an "un official" hiring freeze, so I have no way to get in. Also the current locksmith is just about to retire, thats life I guess.....
Thank you for getting in detail about the pace of population size. I want small town lifestyle but I need big city clients.
Licensing is not required in my state.
Hawai’i doesn’t require any licensing either.
Yet.
Lucky you! Unfortunately, I live in Alabama where it is required.
It isnt here in many places in here either but i dont plan on being in this state too much longer.
This video was very informative and inspirational and I too am interested in becoming licensed as a locksmith.
State of FL keeps rejecting me, citing numerous past convictions for breaking & entering.
In Florida, if you have a pulse you get approved?
Tell them that you are clearly good at the job and that it would be detrimental to the economy to keep you unemployed. See if the go for it.
hahahahaha @@therationalanarchist
Really? I wonder why they would deny you?
Seriously, you gave up the chance at several careers when you got caught. Move on.
Hi, I from Singapore , I am interested to be locksmith as career switching.
Is there a reasonable way by inspection to determine if a B60N lock is a 5-pin or a 6-pin unit?
Insert a pick or a blank key and you can counts the bottom pins. Also, SC1 Lishi can count
