That refund is incredible. Yes, I could see the problem with the air conditioning not working and waiting a few hours for another locomotive, but the line closure was not the Orient Express' fault. Still, this is terrific customer service on their part and well done to them.😊
In the 1960s my wife and I took this journey several times. Three and a half days, no sleeper. We arrived with swollen feet but the cost was only £26 return! Each journey was a start for further destinations, Iran, Afghanistan, Jordan etc.
My husband and I did the trip from London to Venice 34 years ago for our honeymoon. At that time the whole route to Istanbul wasn’t an option. Such an amazing experience sitting in the bar car, drinking champagne and listening to a pianist playing a baby grand piano as you pass through the Alps.
First, let me say that that was an incredible journey to watch. The Orient express has been on my bucket list since I was 14 or 15 years of age and I am now 54. I know that I likely will never be able to afford this trip for myself and my wife to take, so watching you and your wife take it was wonderful. I was heartbroken at your two missed elements due to circumstances out of their control. When you told us that you got a full refund because of that, I actually teared up because knowing how expensive that was and they were willing to just write that off for all 90 passengers is incredible. Though my wife and I have recently started to travel, this one will most likely have to be vicarious through you and your wife. So thank you!
My mother in law travelled well into her 60s, and one of my aunties travelled until her 80s, so don't ever give up hope of going on this trip. Put money in a safe. I put 100 a month in a safety deposit box, and it stopped me spending it from my bank account. It's easy. So never stop dreaming.

I remember writing about one year ago how much you have improved your content. It amazes me that you keep evolving your content. I just love how well you do this. The short but interesting backstory, how well you express the experienced feelings of everything, and you also keep it lighthearted and fun. I just wanna say as a long time follower, well done. @@Trektrendyhonestly not sure why I thought this but I cannot imagine what you’d do if you could travel the multiverse. I personally would go to one where my hometown, Phoenix, Arizona, was in a much more colonized North America and americas, and it won the 2004 Olympic bid somehow.
Been on my bucket list for most of my life after reading Agatha Christie books and seeing the movies. But alas. Can live vicariously through your video! Beautiful.
Yes, it has been on my bucket list since 1974. I am now 70 and having 2 very medically needy dachshunds keep me from traveling. I do not know if I will ever get my dream trip. So thank you for taking me along on this one.
Handling that landslide situation is an example of how this company and its staff are absolutely exceptional. The servers being able to jump in to help is amazing.
What an amazing trip. The refund was, as you said, quite something. The price, £42,000, is 3 times my yearly pension. Needless to say, I enjoyed your taking us along, as it’s something I’ll never get to experience irl.
Since the price of a trip like this is for the ordinary person extremely expensive (even though you get incredible value for money food and drink wise including excellent service) I am still amazed in the end when they offer to reimburse you the FULL cost of the trip or give you 130% credit value towards all their offerings and trips. THAT is something that also tells even though it is super expensive this is how they take care of their customers. Great video as always and looking forward to your next adventure.
My wife and I were on this trip also and received the same compensation offer after the trip. I ended up very impressed with Belmond after they assessed what happened and stepped up to "take care" of us (and we're not even famous vloggers 🙂).
Taking this train will literally make me homeless for a month or two. Glad I can at least watch it here for free! I'm an Asian and I am so amazed by train travel in Europe. I took the Bernina Express last year and it is by far the best train ride I have ever experienced! Awesome content mate!
I really feel for all the staff its a once a year trip they probably all look forward too and it would have been an organisational nightmare for them. That said I am so impressed with how well they managed it. I have always said this would be my 'if I won the lottery' trip. Fabulous report.

My wife and I were on the same trip (even staying in Car A with Will and Millie). The inconveniences for the staff ranged from minor to I would guess fairly rough at some points. And we left wondering if phenomenal was sufficiently complimentary. The entire staff on the trip was amazing, outstandingly, above and beyondly, magnificantly (etc-ierly) phenomenal. The beauty of the train is sublime. But even so, the staff was better.

It really made it into the news in Bulgaria. Our railways are so slow and off schedule that we can screw up the most famous train in the world. Great trip once again! keep up the good work
My wife and I were on this same trip. Earlier in the trip, the AC on the train was not keeping up. I'm pretty certain that every time we entered a new country (which was often on this trip) the train engine was swapped for an engine from that country's train service. Unfortunately the Bulgarian train engine failed (I guess) quite quickly. So we further delayed, waiting in the heat without any AC. This caused the train interior to cook. My wife and I took a siesta (I suppose) to avoid the worst of the heat. A new train engine showed up and we got back on our way. But this delay put us many hours behind schedule and we missed nearly the entire time allotted for our beach side stay in Varna. That was quite disappointing because the resort at Varna looked to be absolutely lovely. The "fun" part of this section of the trip was when we did arrive in the Varna station (remember, many hours late). There was still a huge crowd of people at the station to greet us and the train. It almost felt like a crowd of paparazzi.
When a trip is all inclusive (and certainly on the expensive side), there's not a lot to offer your customers when things to awry. A full refund or 130% of the value in credit is impressive. I'm sure they have insurance to cover situations like this, but it's still an incredible gesture.
"36 minutes? I'll watch the first 10 minutes..." As always, 36 indulgent and wonderfully entertaining minutes later, he I am at the end of the video. A testament to your skills Mr D. I still cannot quite believe you ended up getting the trip for free, what a result! Anyway, thanks again for another brilliant video. All the best to you and the lovely Millie.
My wife and I were on this same trip, even staying in Car A with Will and Millie (we didn't know who they were until almost the very end of the trip). We received the exact same compensation offer from Belmond. And I can assure you we are not famous. But this action is what outstanding organizations do. Fix it in real time (like they did with accommodating the delay with the avalanche) or if you cannot fix it during the trip, make compensation after the trip as much as possible. We felt the offer from Belmond was above and beyond.
The magic of the Orient Express is well presented in your video content, Will. History, luxury and fine dining all together! Despite the difficult heat and delays, that is what would have likely occurred in the past! Glad you and Millie were able to experience this trip together!

That trip is my true bucket list wish and watching Millie and Will enjoy such unique experiences aboard has only made me want it even more! I must say though that the company did well, although surprising, in offering a full refund or on board credit due to the anomalies experienced whilst on board. I feel like this video/trip is on another level compared to last year's trip! I know Budapest would have been inviting, but I think it's pretty awesome you got to spend the day in that ski town because of the landslide. So long as you don't have obligations at the end destination (Istanbul), I think the delays make the trip even more fun. Going with the flow on the rails! Feeling you. It hurts sometimes to see something so cool and knowing there’s no way in hell you’ll ever be able to afford it. I can barely afford the express bus to work lol
I just randomly had this recommended to me. I didn't really even consider the fact that the Orient Express would still be a thing in this day and age. This is pretty amazing to watch. I think the really interesting thing was despite the bumps along the way that the service was an insane value. Rock slide up ahead? Well, let's just set something up for you here in Austria... Oh, the lodge doesn't have enough wait staff to accommodate all our passengers.. No problem we'll come over and help you out with that... That's crazy! That's going above and beyond. And then at the end to get a full refund because of all the small things that went wrong on your journey... I can't even imagine that kind of customer service.
I have now taken several trips thanks to this channel and your reviews: Queen Mary 2 in Princess to NY-Southhampton, and Amtrack Pacific Coast Starlight from Los Angeles to Seattle. I love these trips and videos. Thank you.
Really excellent video - full of information and details. What an absolutely incredible journey - the luxury, attention to detail, quality of food/drinks, improvisation during delays, firiendliness of the staff (waiting on the platform each time you reboard), fun of the entertainment....it's magical. The price is jaw-dropping but I guess some of that is to keep guests happy during the unexpected delays (getting 90 passengers in for lunch - that's quite an achievement!).
What a dream trip, I cried a few times as it was so beautiful and pure luxury. Thank you so much for taking us all along this grand journey with you. Aww wonderful. Cheers !
What a journey! You guys were treated to something really special. The food looked brilliant, to die for. The staff were hospitality specialists, and it showed, even in this video. You also got to sample some really special places. . Great video Will. Edit: What!?!? That refund offer is astounding. Such incredible service. That is an expensive investment in their future. They clearly value their customers.
We had 2 journeys on the restored Orient Express back in the 1980's. The first was London -Paris, and a few years later we did Paris-London. Both trips were very pleasant, but we were glad we had decided not to do the overnight sections as the plumbing then was pretty basic - it bore no comparison to a couple of trips we did on the Indian Pacific. We were very glad to have chosen the Orient Express to have done the Paris-London journey, which was out of the ordinary. There was a severe storm in the Channel and the train were diverted to different Channel ports, both in France and then in the UK. We did not have to worry about organising these changes, just sit back and order another pot of tea. There's luxury, and then there's luxury. The restored train does it in 1920's fashion, and does that very well indeed. Service and food was excellent. On the Indian Pacific, you got good food and service, along with modern plumbing and ride.
Dear Sir, could you elaborate on the "On the Indian Pacific, you got good food and service, along with modern plumbing and ride", as I'm not indigenous to the subtleties of Anglo-Saxon communications? Could you try to clarify your perceived qualities of th Indian Pacific travel?
I started a reply but it has somehow got lost. The double compartments of the Indian Pacific give you a private cabin. The back of the sofa folds down to give a single bed while there is an upper single bed as well. Each double bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower and wc. I can't now be sure if the handbasin was in the bathroom or if it were in the cabin itself. I think it was in the cabin. By contrast, you had to go to the end of the coaches on the Orient Express to have a wc, shared with the other passengers. My memory is that there was no shower for passengers, shared or not. Having your own shower and wc was what I meant by modern plumbing. The modern ride comes from advances in springing and suspension generally from the days when the Orient Express was new. The suspension may well have been updated since we last travelled on the OE. Of course, the Indian Pacific coaches don't have the woodwork or elaborate upholstery of those in the Orient Express. I prefer to have my own bathroom including a shower to 1920's furnishing details. Others may well make different choices.@@andersgrassman6583
@@doubledee9675 Thank you for answering. My wife put us on the Singapore-Bankook back int the 90's for part of our honey moon, as she kwows I'm a train fanatic.😁 I really think this type of train travel ought to be offered as an alternative to ship cruises. to a much wider public, and at all price ranges! Once I was a poor (well...) teenager, travelling major European cities, once actually sleeping in the overhead piecemeal luggage nettrays in a cabin. That one is THE singularily outstandingly most uncomfortable trainride of my life! Not sure even what country I woke up in. Woke up smiling though! 😃 I think we should make the advantegerous, uncomftorbable and maybee somewhat dangerous travels when we are young. Yoy know, it's great fun knowing you took part in a discussion on whether to allow goats (!) on the train in Italy. And a couple of decades later you enjoy insane nice luxury train travel. That actually makes a detour to watch the acctual "Bridge on the Riwer Kwai". (Beeing slightly upper class, my tip is always bring decent linen suits. They wear well also when creased. When things go completely awry, which they surprisingly often do, I find it very comforting to wear decent apparel.
I'm glad to say that I have never tried sleeping on a luggage rack. I konw some who tried it and they said much as you did, warning against it in strong terms. The Indiuan-Pacific has gained much the sort of market you suggest, the alternative to a ship. People fly one way and get the train for the return journey. That's all very well if you like singalongs, but that's not for us. We liked just sitting in our comfortable cabin watching the scenery as it goes past. A cup of tea from time to time, nothing any more energetic than that. @@andersgrassman6583

When I saw TrekTrendy in my feed I said , "I bet the lovely Millie is going to be in this one" and then there she was. Hi Will and Millie. It would be hard dressing to the nines in small quarters. It is awesome...fantastic The Orient Express did good by its passengers by offering a full refund. Impressive. Respect. God bless Will and Millie, Mom and Dad lol, keep safe.
You aren't pretentious which is such an approachable, warm quality while we view luxury travel. "Well beyond my price range" and "the meat was tough" you're still living a realistic lifestyle. Thank you for this perspective.
You make authentic, believable, relatable, and non-fussy content that makes us feel like we are with you. This is some of your best work, and what an unbelievable trip! Happy travels.
I have to say I am not impressed with the train for the cost. I know the food and drink looks amazing, but I just can't fathom £40+ and no en suit. Iconic, yes, historic certainly but the price seems obscene compared to some of your other adventures. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. Great content as always.
My wife and I were on this same trip. Assuming the delays did not occur and the AC had worked as expected, we would have found the trip "worth" the cost. It was our 25th wedding anniversary trip, and yes the ultimate Bucket List only once in a lifetime experience. Obviously it helps to be a huge fan of the beauty of the 1920's Art Deco decor, but ... the opulence of the historic train cars, the opulence of the food and drink (if seemed like we were always drinking champagne), the convenience of having stewards and other dedicated staff always handle your luggage, the incredible variety and quality of the stops along the route, the joy of the Bar car and most incredibly, the absolute excellence of EVERY staff member on the train made the trip worth the cost. The hiccups that occurred on this one trip were unfortunate and distracting. But that is where the perhaps over and beyond post trip compensation offer from Belmond convinced me these trips are "worth" it.
With 2x of these trips you get a house in some country in Europe, with the same amount you also get a trip around the world,I find hard to understand ppl who pay this much for this less.
This is a truly dreamy trip. Such great cinematography on the fly. I'm loving your pronunciation of "Lichtenstein" as "Litch-enstein" as in, well, "Quidditch." And "Le Toilette du Nord" doesn't sound like a restaurant, but L'etoile Du Nord does. Our differences are the spaces where we can come together. Keep up the good travel writing/vlogging!

My parents were on this trip and my mother was so excited when the train had to stop because of the landslide because it was similar to what happened in the book Murder on the Orient Express which she loved. Amazing video man.
Your content is top notch , rather wait a few weeks each time for quality than once a week for average stuff, your setting the bar high , yourself and Emma cruises are doing the brits proud 🇬🇧🇬🇧
A dream trip. The luxury and beauty of the original cars are a marvel to see. I am envious. Just two little things - well, three: I would have liked to see the fish dishes, but nobody has to eat fish just to make me happy! I love menus. I would have liked the camera to linger on them a little longer. Finally, l'Etoile du Nord was mentioned three times, and all three times it sounded like "les toilettes du Nord". The Toilets of the North is not the ideal name for a restautant! The final "e" in étoile is not pronounced, allowing us to move away from the facilities and back to the Star of the North.
That was an incredible experience, well photographed and beautifully edited. The service looked amazing and the refund at the end was something they didn't have to do but what a gesture! Thoroughly enjoyed this. Well done.
10 thumbs up for the traditional "real James Bond" oval lapelled tuxedo jacket. I was married in the same and 17 years later, it still fits!! You both look like you had a wonderful time. When I can pull 40K out of my back pocket I'll take my wife on the same trip. By the way, your English pronunciation of l'etoile du nord (the north star) sound like "L'etoillette du nord" (the toilet of the north) LMAO.
I have been waiting for something from you for quite some time and finally it arrived, you were not as comfortable this time in the Journey as you were in the past but as you mentioned it is part of the adventure. Your videos are something that take us where I, probably would never ever have the resources to go and experience. Love your content and presentation, it is well made and nicely presented. Love ❤❤ for the Couple. Stay healthy and prosper.
What a beautiful experience ❤ A very beautiful and seamless transition between takes, and cuts of food, and walking diwn the hall back tobthe cabin out the window to see the amazing sites. I dont know how you do it, its literally an art form of audio, and videography! I love seeing everything you ate, and the layout of the rooms. 🎉❤ Congratulations I believe this video was a masterpiece 😍🤩 Sending you and Millie positive vibes and prayer!❤
Thank you Will and (radiant) Millie for a wonderful tour. We just watched Murder on The Orient Express (1974 version) a few weeks ago. You both definitely had a nice room than the movie version. Maybe for fun you should watch it sometime to compare? Again, thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and share with all of us.
This was an incredible narrative and I’m very inspired to follow in your footsteps. My son and I are adventure nuts and cultural aficionados. This RUclips video has really got me thinking. Well done
I really loved following along with you and Milli on this adventure and I'm very impressed by the videography. Stunning video work. I do miss the "The next day..." interludes from before, but the new mentions bring a touch of class appropriate to the Orient Express experience.
I've seen other vloggers share their Orient Express experience however yours's seems more intimate. Even with all the hiccups, delays and operational issues it still seemed like a wonderful trip. The fact that Belmont Organization (LVMH) offered an full refund is quite impressive. Now, how to finance the ensuite cabin?!

May 20, I was born in 1961. The Orient Express original stopped running on the same day, unsure the year. I always was dreaming of a trip on the iconic train. You are blessed.😊 Cher and I share the same b'day. Makes it more precious to me at least.🇨🇦🙋🏻♀️🧸🌺🌸🌺💖 Not a fan of chatter though. Prefer to watch and enjoy the natural sounds. No disrespect to you.
Phenomenal! You went back! Definitely one of my favorite videos so far. Thanks for your work and it’s always a treat when Millie or your dad get to join you. Cheers!
This looks like such a unique experience and you made us feel like we were with you on board. Really like your storytelling on- and off-camera. Also, Millie looks fantastic and her outfits are all so well put together! Maybe you can do a „what to bring on a sleeper train“ video.
Amazing on the refund. Sadly, as ever, amazing customer service for those with the deepest pockets. Can you imagine Ryan Air doing the same?! Love the channel.
Yep, this is one item that's on my bucket list. I will add this. I'll pay the extra for the suite instead of paying 90k USD for a closet room with bunk beds.
What a ride! Absolutely LOVED this vicarious train trip. As always, it's great to see the lovely Millie. Just one note (because Canada is officially bilingual), l'etoile doesn't have a "t" at the end (i.e. the "e" is silent and the word ends with the "l" sound...twall).
Given the cost and that it only runs once a year, you think they would have made extra sure that facilities like the a/c were 100% reliable but fair play to them for their response.
My wife and I were on this trip also and I had the same thoughts. I have come to understand that while the Paris - Istanbul trip only occurs once a year, the cars of the train are in use probably nearly the whole year on the "other" Vencie Simpson Orient Express trips (e.g., Paris to Venice, Amsterdam to Venice). It sounded like the cars are not used 50 weeks a year and then hauled out for the week of Paris to Istanbul and second week of Istanbul to Paris. I do not think that the case. Regardless, we received the same compensation offer that Will did and thought the offer was appropriate and almost certainly beyond what could have been offered, even expected.
Electrical is provided by the engine, and it seems borders don't allow engines to pass. So you have to rely on whatever the country railways provide, which has failed here.
Love your videos!!! What do you do when you aren’t busy riding the Orient Express??? And lovely Millie?? This is so exciting! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
Wow. An incredible journey and so amazing they offered a full refund! Astonishing level of service that would have been so unexpected. The air conditioning was a minor discomfort and, of course, if you were expecting the full experience in Budapest then that would have been very disappointing but its not the fault of the business that there was a landslide! My wife and I were on this same trip. The loss of the time to visit Budapest was probably our biggest disappointment of the whole trip. The good news? What we were able to see of Budapest ensures we will go back some. Probably quite soon.
Wow Will & Millie!! What a cool trip! What an EXPENSIVE trip!! How cool are they at Belmond to offer a full refund OR 130% of a credit for future use...which of course would get used. Unlike some places that offer post trip credits....until your next video!!
That is so cheap 🎉 3€ per sock 🧦 blew my mind once (6€) 🤪 I just went and bought more socks 🧦 and washed the others at home 🏡 Cruise ships should just have laundries like good hotels do. Pay 4€ for a machine and maybe another 4€ for the drier and have a possibility to iron something that has gone boink. Crew has those facilities so we know they can do it 👍
That refund is incredible. Yes, I could see the problem with the air conditioning not working and waiting a few hours for another locomotive, but the line closure was not the Orient Express' fault. Still, this is terrific customer service on their part and well done to them.😊
Unbelievable refund...a second video on next year :) or this winter

@@Trektrendywhat’s your connection to NASA?
It really made it into the news in Bulgaria. Our railways are so slow and off schedule that we can screw up the most famous train in the world. Great trip once again! keep up the good work
So what happened?
Don't worry the railways in the UK can do a better job of screwing things up. If not on strike.
That forced stop made the trip even more amazing, it was actually a plus to the trip in my opinion. lol
I think being a very successful YT vlogger helps with the freebie lol?
My wife and I were on this same trip, even staying in Car A with Will and Millie (we didn't know who they were until almost the very end of the trip).
We received the exact same compensation offer from Belmond. And I can assure you we are not famous.
But this action is what outstanding organizations do. Fix it in real time (like they did with accommodating the delay with the avalanche) or if you cannot fix it during the trip, make compensation after the trip as much as possible. We felt the offer from Belmond was above and beyond.
Haha same for me. It was so good that I watched until the end.
The magic of the Orient Express is well presented in your video content, Will. History, luxury and fine dining all together! Despite the difficult heat and delays, that is what would have likely occurred in the past! Glad you and Millie were able to experience this trip together!

Really excellent video - full of information and details. What an absolutely incredible journey - the luxury, attention to detail, quality of food/drinks, improvisation during delays, firiendliness of the staff (waiting on the platform each time you reboard), fun of the entertainment....it's magical. Felt like I was traveling with you guys. First Orient Express trip was beautiful and so is this second one. Also Millie is just gorgeous.
My wife put us on the Singapore-Bankook back int the 90's for part of our honey moon, as she kwows I'm a train fanatic.😁
I really think this type of train travel ought to be offered as an alternative to ship cruises. to a much wider public, and at all price ranges!
😃
I think we should make the advantegerous, uncomftorbable and maybee somewhat dangerous travels when we are young.

I agree! For that price I'm not sharing a bathroom and I want a large comfy bed.
With 2x of these trips you get a house in some country in Europe, with the same amount you also get a trip around the world,I find hard to understand ppl who pay this much for this less.
It's not really "THE" historic train, neither. I would rather go on a Pullman trip elsewhere.
I almost spit out my coffee. The way you pronounced "L'étoile du Nord" it meant "The Northern restrooms"... so funny.

My parents were on this trip and my mother was so excited when the train had to stop because of the landslide because it was similar to what happened in the book Murder on the Orient Express which she loved. Amazing video man.
watching your videos makes me feel calm! I absolutely love your videos and have watched just about every one. Thanks for this!
Wife back door not allowed ect
La toilette du Nord is actually somewhere you go AFTER having dinner 😄
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
i know. that mispronounciation was ill timed 😂
@@1assetatleast it was consistent throughout the video…🤦🏻♂️
Amazing!!! What a treat to share this adventure with you. As always, thank you both? ❤❤
Just two little things - well, three:
I would have liked to see the fish dishes, but nobody has to eat fish just to make me happy!
Yes, that's the worst name imaginable for a restaurant - let alone a Michelin star one. 😂😂😂
Imagine travelling on this incredible train and getting a _full_ refund... That's just insane :O
Imagine if they lodged the passengers at the Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul. ICONIC
Wow that sounds amazing
I will never have this experience, but I'm SO glad you did and you chose to share it with us. Top notch trip, loved travelling with you 💜🖤
What a beautiful experience ❤ A very beautiful and seamless transition between takes, and cuts of food, and walking diwn the hall back tobthe cabin out the window to see the amazing sites. I dont know how you do it, its literally an art form of audio, and videography! I love seeing everything you ate, and the layout of the rooms. 🎉❤ Congratulations I believe this video was a masterpiece 😍🤩
Sending you and Millie positive vibes and prayer!❤
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words 🙏🏼
Wife back door not allowed ect
India don't burn dead body not allowed
Thank you Will and (radiant) Millie for a wonderful tour. We just watched Murder on The Orient Express (1974 version) a few weeks ago. You both definitely had a nice room than the movie version. Maybe for fun you should watch it sometime to compare? Again, thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and share with all of us.
This was an incredible narrative and I’m very inspired to follow in your footsteps. My son and I are adventure nuts and cultural aficionados. This RUclips video has really got me thinking. Well done
This trip is in my bucket list. One day I will make it with my wife.
I really loved following along with you and Milli on this adventure and I'm very impressed by the videography. Stunning video work. I do miss the "The next day..." interludes from before, but the new mentions bring a touch of class appropriate to the Orient Express experience.
Wow! Thank you Will and Millie for sharing your amazing journey. What an incredibly beautiful train. 💐

It's all about the journey, not the speed man.....
Not tempted to “push the boat out further “. I’ve never heard that expression before. Funny and evocative.
Millie is simply beautiful 😭
A behind the scenes would be interesting. All the planning, logistics etc...
Apart from that, an absolutely great video
This trip is on my bucket list! Looks amazing and glad you and Millie had a great time.
*Thank you Will and Millie for another wonderful train expedition* !! *The Orient Express Luxury Sleeper Train looks FABULOUS* !! *All of the cuisine onboard looks perfect* !! #TrekTrendy
fortuitous landslide added an extra memory to a beautiful journey, well covered, thanks
Cheers!
I'm not even a train enthusiast, but sleeper trains and the idea of a "land cruises" are so fucking cool
It’s not a dated dress code, they are upholding standards and you look so handsome and your other half looks sensational 💕
She was wearing flip-flops! 😂
Very nice video, nice people around, kind service, looking very delicious food, life is beautiful for some lucky people....thanks a lot.
This looks like such a unique experience and you made us feel like we were with you on board. Really like your storytelling on- and off-camera. Also, Millie looks fantastic and her outfits are all so well put together! Maybe you can do a „what to bring on a sleeper train“ video.
Absolutely gorgeous stuff bro. Your videos are real stress busters.
Love from India.
Amazing on the refund. Sadly, as ever, amazing customer service for those with the deepest pockets. Can you imagine Ryan Air doing the same?! Love the channel.
I think the Restaurant will be remembered by the Trainteam. I think not every restaurant is able to posess this amount of people in such short order.
Was going to point this out as well. Some basic French lessons seem to be on order.
It sounded a bit like "toilette"
@@daniloruocco2728 Definitely
Haha, that was quite funny, , in a nice way of course .
he ended it with an "A" (é), not a "T"
I travelled in 3473 from Venice to London some years ago though months same berth as Will. Absolutely delightful, every minute of the whole trip.
*not the (where the hell did autocorrect drag "months" from?)
Wow. An incredible journey and so amazing they offered a full refund! Astonishing level of service that would have been so unexpected. The air conditioning was a minor discomfort and, of course, if you were expecting the full experience in Budapest then that would have been very disappointing but its not the fault of the business that there was a landslide! I thought they may offer you some credit but a full refund is exceptionally generous. Thank you for posting this.
Отличное путешествие! Столько стран, культур, людей! Ориент Экспресс ассоциируется у меня навсегда с королевой детектива Агатой Кристи. Спасибо за видео, Уилл! Удачи Вам!
I am extremely jealous of this luxurious experience . This is beyond imagination of a common man.
Too bad you missed some extra time in Budapest -- it's GORGEOUS! One of my favourite cities, as well as Prague!
My wife and I were on this same trip. The loss of the time to visit Budapest was probably our biggest disappointment of the whole trip.
The good news? What we were able to see of Budapest ensures we will go back some. Probably quite soon.
I wish more RUclipsrs would blur our strangers faces in the background. I think that's great that you protected their identity.
What a lovely couple you are. I love watching your wonderful videos. You are a terrific host and narrator.
Wow Will & Millie!! What a cool trip! What an EXPENSIVE trip!! How cool are they at Belmond to offer a full refund OR 130% of a credit for future use...which of course would get used. Unlike some places that offer post trip credits....until your next video!!
I want you to know I watched this while washing my shorts in the sink on a cruise ship because I didn’t want to pay $6 to have them washed 🤫
At least you have an en-suite bathroom on your cruise 😂
That is so cheap 🎉 3€ per sock 🧦 blew my mind once (6€) 🤪 I just went and bought more socks 🧦 and washed the others at home 🏡 Cruise ships should just have laundries like good hotels do. Pay 4€ for a machine and maybe another 4€ for the drier and have a possibility to iron something that has gone boink. Crew has those facilities so we know they can do it 👍
Wow!
It would be cool to see a review of some of Japan's luxury cruise trains like Seven Stars in Kyushu and Train Suite Shikishima.
