Ringing down Half Muffled Taylors, Stratton Cornwall.

- Ringing down after a little practise, the 6th bell is then rung down (another of my videos) These bells sound Beautiful muffled. It's a great privilege to be able to learn ringing on these.

@CornishRingofBells Lol, try and get up the belfry again!! Your camera records well in the belfry!!
Round here we have the most famous "funeral bell" of all time - Wootton Bassett!! When the parades used to pass through Bassett the tenor would be tolling for them. I think it began when the clock struck 11 as a parade passed and it sounded so fitting someone rang it whenever the parades went past from then on!!!
@CornishRingofBells No, they stand it at backstroke as well as handstroke!! Pull - stand at back - pull - stand at hand!!!
@simonbellringer Well I will try get the tenor on Saturday. There is a funeral on, but I should be able to find a place out the way to record it :)

@CornishRingofBells Lol, it's just practise and having a good enough style-eg not dropping every backstroke!! I reckon I could do it but it is a ton so you have to a work a little and the whole world's ears will be on you, like in the Last Stand on a trumpet (so I am told,) so no room for error!!!
@simonbellringer Yeah, I've heard it before! So how to the get it to ring so slowly? Totally silence one side of the clapper?
@CornishRingofBells Humph, at least move the tower and bells a little closer to Swindon - I'd suggest it the other way but I'd have to move 2 extra bells for the 10, plus our lovely 11cwt 8!!
@CornishRingofBells But nobody could see you, unless they let the TV crew up!! If you listen to Bassetts tenor it isnt a great bell and deserves something like your tenor for what it was rung for, want to swap!!!
