The pucker factor on the bridge was huge. I kept looking at the railings on our right thinking how low they were and the skid plate steel deck and the wind was a deadly combo.
It's Mackinaw. That was East Bay part of Lake Michigan that you saw out of Traverse City. The second town after Traverse City that you filmed is Charlevoix. I'm in west Michigan. Sorry that you saw our State in such weather. It's really beautiful up there.

Welcome to the Midwest, Michigan, Ohio and other states. Roads mostly suck, roads go from a ton a snow and minus temps to over 100 in the summer, tears them up.

True... wearing those closed-toe hiking sandals could be a bit of a risk. However, there are millions of riders in other countries (e.g., all over Asia, India, etc) that ride bare foot or with flip-flops and ZERO safety gear on a daily basis. I guess it just depends on your environment and what is considered "normal". 🤣👍 --QM
In Monroe, Wisconsin is Country Castel Cheese, America's only producer of Limberger cheese. Once in the mouth it has the texture of a brie. Slight bite and a very round full flavor. As a kid, my father used to knosh a mouthful and chase us around the house. When you were caught "Hi, How are YOUUUU!" with a whew on the UUUU. Great ride in this episode.
I've cruise under that bridge 1989 in the US Navy 🇺🇸 on the USS Boulder LST 1190 it was the Great Lakes Cruise a big Navy and Marines advertising mission.

But both are pronounced Mack-I-naw the different spellings are from different languages I think French and English. Miners from England showed up here to work and brought that with them they would bring them into the mines since it was an all in one meal lol.... for your small leaks i found that leather boot silicone spray seems to help. back when i use to camp all the time i would set up a new tent and sprayed every seam and corner. and still looking for a trail 125
Correction, where you made comment what happened to nice road around 22 minute mark and then I passed you, soon after that there was small rise with a drop on the other side. The road was crap on other side and that was where Karl had is accident. I remember when I went over it thinking, wow this is a scooter killer!
Adrian's Cub runs a bit less efficiently than mine, probably due to my 15T front sprocket upgrade. That helps my overall efficiency and top speed (on flat road), but it hurts me when climbing hills. If we're on flat ground, then I can usually outpace him by 5-7 MPH, and I tend to have 15 miles more range before running empty. I'm editing some of the really steep portions of the SCBR ride over the Rockies and the Continental Divide. We found it interesting that the 15T sprocket on my Cub moved the power curves around so significantly. Sometimes, my bike would pull much better in 3rd gear up long inclines than Adrian's would in 3rd due to my "longer" ratio... I could maintain higher speeds before reaching redline. Our biggest probem was being stuck between gear ratios. Many times we were too close to redline in a lower gear, but the next higher gear would bog down and lose speed. We spent a LOT of time living in 2nd and 3rd gear through most of the western USA. Those videos are coming soon! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

That is the PUIG T.X. windscreen: amzn.to/3q8tez5 . Adrian likes that screen on his Super Cub, but he mentioned that it blocks a bit too much airflow and he gets too hot sometimes at lower speeds. He also had problems with the steel mounts breaking their welds, so he used extra bolts to clamp the halves together. The shorter Puig screens have a bad reputation for breaking their mounts and causing catastrophic failures (e.g. flying off or hitting the rider in the face). I haven't owned either of these screens to speak from experience, so take that info with a grain of salt. The small Asahi Short Visor ( japan.webike.net/products/23952404.html ) that I have on my Cub works well enough for me. It durable and it breaks up the wind pressure on my torso at highway speeds. My shoulders and helmet are in clear air, so there is very little turbulence. However, it's not a good touring screen and it doesn't provide any weather protection against the rain or cold. Question , do you think 2016 pcx 150 with 727miles worth getting for $3,000? Looks new , well is new. The person had an injury that left em unable to keep knee bent for too long and has been stored in garage and driven 5 to 10 miles here and there to keep it running. Oil change has been done. Just wondering, If I got it , I would do dr pulley for sure. I did 67 mph but on uphill with head wind was doing 50 mph
Sure, that's not a bad deal for a low-mileage PCX150! If you can find a new 2022 PCX160 for close to MSRP, then that would have better power for top speed. Wind and inclines will always hamper these smaller scoots and mini-moto's. I'm frequently stuck at 45-55 up steep hills in Arkansas and Missouri on my PCX. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard well, here is my scenario. About a month ago a guy wanted $3,000 for a 2019 and had scuff on one side with a 3 inch Crack on the side othe than that, it has 149cc. The bad thing he in California, you need 150cc and up for highway use. I know they both reach same speed. Now this 2016 popped up with 727 miles like brand new and it has 153cc highway legal although they both reach same speed. New scooters here in California are very hard almost impossible to get and they all have mark ups. Originally I wanted xmax 300 and I'm good but they want $8,000 plus for them. Used one's good luck ever finding one here

Our ride times varied each day of the Cannonball depending on the distance, weather, and road conditions. Our average was about 475 miles/day and 12 hours in the saddle. Our shortest ride day was ~10 hours, and the longest was over 15 hours... OUCH! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Adrian chose to ride with his ventilated hiking sandals for better airflow and to prevent foot problems. He also had a pair of boots with him in case he needed to change into something with more protection. I wore my TCX WP Evo Explorer boots throughout the 27-day ride. --QM

Loved the segment over the bridge 🌁 . I’ve driven over that bridge a few times in a car. I did however ride my bicycle over the Goldengate Bridge 🌉. It was epic. Did you move your mirrors to the bar ends to accommodate your electronics on the handlebars? 👍☮️🌞🛵❤️
I replaced the OEM mirrors almost immediately after getting the Cub because they were too narrow and I couldn't see anything behind me. You can see that video here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/CS1vyNmvzmg/видео.html . The RAM ball mounts that I'm using fit neatly under any mirror posts. In my application, the Asahi windscreen brackets secure to the original mirror posts, so I sandwiched the RAM mount under the screen brackets and used a couple of M10 bolts to replace the mirror posts as anchors. That gives me two flexible mounting locations for phone, GPS, cameras, or whatever else I might need. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

I have been following this from start. Seams Adrian’s bike setup constantly pulls yours. Is it due to total weight difference?
