Adrian and I are tentatively planning a long road trip on the PCX150's sometime this spring. It won't be a 10K-mile endurance challenge, but we'll probably burn about 3500 miles up to Goshen, Indiana and back. We'll take the back roads and moto-camp along the way over about a week's time. It'll be good fun! 😉👍 --QM
They did the cannonball on different scoots in 23 Quasi was on a pcx125 and soon found out variators do not like sitting on the rev limiter and they eat the belts and the pulley's but still a good watch. Of the two I would say the Cub did better even loaded up it performed very well apart from the chains made of butter, if they had used the support van the first time and taken the load off the Cub Quasi would have been further up the finish table.
Always enjoy your video's. Thanks for your hard work. I used to ride bikes but am 75 now with cancer. So I live through your videos Thanks so very much
Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you like the videos. Sorry to hear about the bic C... that's never fun. I wish you the best and most comfortable journey possible through that situation. I'm planning to be out touring and motocamping again in mid-October, so stay tuned for more adventures soon! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Fantastic video series, I really enjoy you comentary along the way, I cannot believe this series did not explode more on youtube, as it deserves to, adventure stuff usually goes crazy !!
Did you see us on the run? We were running far behind most of the pack, so we missed lots of the support crews and after-party stuff each day. I'll look through my footage to see if I was recording through that area. I'm planning to make a condensed video of the 2021 SCBR that has the highlights of each day. I'll try to cram everything from that trip into a 45-50 minute video as a lead-up or teaser for the upcoming 2023 SCBR ride. Hopefully, I'll be able to edit and upload that video in the next couple of months before the ride in June. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard I do remember seeing you guys go by. It wasn’t really anything big, just three of us hanging out watching all the riders go by. I’ve been wanting to do the run since I found out about it in 2018.

Getting stung by a bee is a common thing when riding a bike through Wisconsin. Next time pull over and find a Plantain plant (Plantago major) growing next to the road way and and make a poultice using the leaves and saliva, apply to the bee sting. The pain will be gone in a few minutes. I know it sounds crazy, but it works.

I’m enjoying this series so much, thank you QM. A long time ago started my motorcycling life on a H50 cub, my ‘nifty 50’ as my school mates would diss it..a 125 version back then would have been so good...!
Watching your videos is almost like riding along. A nice antidote to the cold, rainy weather in the Pacific Northwest. I’m planning a couple of big rides on my Super Tenere. Watching this makes me want to do one on my GTS 300.

Howdy, Tommy, and thanks for the feedback! The Nine Mile Canyon on Day 8 was just a teaser video that I released a couple of months ago to gauge interest for the series. So far, it hasn't seen much traction with only ~2K views, but Days 1-5 seem to have been received well. I'm actually editing Days 6 & 7 right now. I hope to have another episode or two released tomorrow and over the weekend. Days 6 & 7 might be a combined video because I wasn't having a good day in the Badlands, South Dakota. I didn't record much that day, and what little I did record was saturated with complaining and profanities! 🤣 I'll salvage the good bits of it and maybe combine that with Day 7 to create another 45-60 minute video. Stay tuned! 😉👍 --QM
Howdy, Steve, and thanks for the feedback! The SP-Takegawa P-Shooter exhaust actually decreased our Cubs' performance. There is no catalyst in the P-Shooter, so that made the engine run lean (hot) and down on power about 10-15% (according to my butt dyno). The Takegawa exhausts also didn't fare well during the Cannonball Run... multiple heat-related failures and poor construction. I removed mine and reverted to stock when I returned home from that trip. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
i plan on signing up for it if i can ever find a bike to ride it. and i can get about the cost to make this run without motels. and food. because those two things change from day to day.plus i would sleep in a tent most of the time
I think this ride would be more fun if they just did about 300 miles a day, and have more relaxing evenings with everyone hanging out. I know you couldn't go across the entire country, but oh well.
Agreed! That has been a common discussion point for the SCBR schedules and routes. It's difficult to cram a cross-country trip into a reasonable number of days without riding long, hard days. The 2023 SCBR will be a shorter route, so we've been discussing an 8-day course with slightly higher miles vs a 10-day with shorter distances per day. Many of the riders can't afford to take off for anything longer than 10 days, so that's a limiting factor. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Yes. You could always just chop it up and finish up after so many days (I'm thinking seven, so people could still keep a week of vacation for something with family, or whatever). Then the next year pick up where you stopped the previous year. Even if it took three years to complete the cross country journey, I think more people would participate and it would be more fun. Thanks for responding and your entertaining content.
Thanks for the feedback! I usually run the pressures on the swingarm tag: 29/33 PSI front/rear and we settled on ~22 PSI on the trailer's tire for better stability (also a Michelin Pilot Street). 😉👍 --QM
The GPS and phone mounts are attached to RAM 1" ball mounts ( RAM-B-272U 9mm Angled Bolt Head Adapter Ball Base with B Size 1" Ball: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012TRIY4 ) and RAM 1" short double-socket arms ( amzn.to/2SZOgmD ). The RAM ball adapters are sandwiched underneath the windshield mounts and they share the original mirror mounting holes. This solution was very secure and reliable for us during the Scooter Cannonball Run... zero failures or problems with the mounts. 😉👍 --QM
what is the biggest bike you can ride on this trip? I used to have a Suzuki Burgman 650 and that thing can handle any amount of miles you want to put on it. They have the 400 and 200 too. It looked like 300 was as big as you shared. Are you going to do it again this summer? Do you still have the cub? Are you enjoying the Navi?
The SCBR rules specify 279cc as the largest engine that qualifies to compete in the event. The next Scooter Cannonball is in 2023, and we're already planning our ride! I will likely modify my Super Cub to run in 2023 (e.g, big-bore kit, upgraded suspension, enduro tires, etc). However, I'm considering going smaller and running the NAVI if the rules permit it. Riding the SCBR on a 110cc scooter would be brutal abuse, but easy is boring! 😉👍 --QM

I got a question about dealers. Let's say someone wants to buy a new motorcyckle which is 6k OTD , and let say this person has a motorcycle worth 8k on the market is it possible to trade in this motorcycle and get a new one and have a dealer to give you 2k cash to make it even? they going to sell this bike for 10k anyway so , did anyone ever heard about something like that if it's possible or not?
