Yeah, the broom, the fan... those are the classics but after watching a lot of these videos I can say that this is my favorite so far, the crash was solid, then she went backwards quite a distance trying to save the run but getting out of the thing for good, nice camera angles through the video and the girl fooling around at the end flipping us off is the cherry on top
Same with luge, downhill skiing, ski jumping, gymnastics vault, Indy car…you have to have no fear and the need for adrenaline highs. Most people’s natural inhibitions would take over and prevent them from doing these sports.
Very lucky she lifted her leg at 2:00 because I can't imagine the force put on her if she were to catch her foot on the corner there. Must be scary as hell.
I'm sorry but I chuckled when I saw the sled sliding by itself at 0:58. I was hoping it could win the competition and make all other sleds feel bad about themselves. Imagine the sled being picked up and celebrated by its fans at the finishing line.
I have been to every track in North America, I live 315 miles from Lake Placid, the new track built-in 1999, I've seen 44 world cup weekends with skeleton, and 2 man/4 man bobsled, and have also seen races in Igls Austria, and St Moritz, I would be considered a skeleton /Bobsled Junky

What I fear everytime i watch these crash vids is the athletes getting their legs caught on a corner bank and ends up snapping their bone. It doesnt take a lot to snap one trust me, I fell from a height of 5’3” (my short ass height) and broke my forearm clean in half
It takes a special kind of crazy person to do this. They call it skeleton for a reason. One slip and your head/neck/spine is in something and compressed at 70-90 mph. That helmet isn’t making a damn difference.

Olga was recently banned from the Russian skeleton team for violations of "anti-doping" laws, which one would assume would have to do with performance enhancing drugs but the sneaky Russians refuse to even acknowledge what they mean by "anti-doping." So I feel very bad for her. The commentators on this even say she's a relatively new athlete who would have had potential in 5-6 years. Well here it is 5-6 years later and she's been banned for life. :(

Well you're sliding down a half-pipe made out of ice, the only "steel structure" is above and around that half-pipe. This is a sport because it requires a lot of discipline and practice to cross the finish at the bottom without losing control of your sled during curves in the track. You say things about getting killed, but with every sport, there is always a risk of injury and/or death. American Football players suffer brain damage from constantly bumping heads with each other, hockey players get slammed into the wall or onto the ice all the time, Skiier's and snowboarders always at risk of falling down the slope the wrong way. I guess you can call those sports "spectator suicides" too since the professional players often die prematurely due to injuries they got playing.
