@@HekateMGO all sports are dangerous to an extent. But yes, you're right, since winter sports are mostly carried out on ice and snow, most of them are supremely dangerous. You could land wrong and hit your head in figure skating. You could hurtle off a track at 100 miles/hour in Luge. You could get a blade through the eye in speed skating. You could fall off a mountain in cross-country skiing. So many risks.
Actually you cant relax, you have to be as tense as possible to be aerodynamic. This is the thing that many people dont know from this sport: it is not simply laying down and win. You have to use all your muscle to make yourself aerodynamic, and make some very subtle move to steer the curve
Wow no tenia idea de que los juegos Olímpicos tenían deportes tan extraños, así como uno en el que barren el hielo para que una piedra llegue a un círculo. ??????
Well, technically it was 3 Germans on the podium and 4 in the top 5. Armin Zöggeler came from the South Tyrol region in Italy, the region used to belong to Austria, Austrians are Germans. Hell, he still has a German last name too....
Wow, this day I discover that there is a sport for sliding. So the slides in the park is not just for fun, it is a training equipment.
Sounds like a good excuse for me to go to park alone and slide down slides at 21 years of age.
You talk to high. Stupid
It’s a lot more skill than just sliding down. You’re steering as well, which can be quite difficult with the curves.
earlier in this winter olympics somebody’s died doing this
No, not even close

Yeah, why is this an Olympic sport, though, even though it takes practice but it doesn't need any special skill just lying down??

The Brits always bless sport commentating with their brilliant remarks, observations, and excitement.
British commentators are not the only ones there. There are probably better ones.

It takes an incredible athlete to be able to point your toes like that!
Kudos to Seinfeld for this joke, Sir.
