It’s so WEIRD to see Skydome standing alone with the CN Tower and nothing but sky! It’s surrounded by tall condo buildings now. And I don’t care if it’s known as the Rogers Center.. it’ll always be Skydome to us!
I was 13 when the Jays won the World Series the first time, it was worth staying up past 1am on the night of Game 6 to witness history. We had this tape in our video library and I watched it often
The 1992 Toronto Blue Jays are the only major league team to take the World Series Championship to Canada; they did also did it 1993, making them the first team to repeat as World Champions since the 1977-78 Yankees. Cito Gaston is the first minority manager to take a major league team to the fall classic.
I Love this team. My first child is called Jay. Watching this in 2022, knowing what an awesome season this was, I am still clapping, cheering, and yes even crying. Thanks for the memories guys.
I do believe to this day that the 1992 Blue Jays are the last MLB team to go through an entire season without being swept in any series. The 1998 Padres did it in the regular season but got swept in the World Series. I don't think it's been done since.
The 2023 Orioles didn't get swept all season until the playoffs where they ran into the eventual champion Rangers. Still, that is not an easy task to complete.
Complete game to start. man wish we had Morris this year. But I think 1 or 2 old and new pitchers will shock and surprise for the better this year. Go Jays!!!
It's fascinating how different this team was from 1993. The '92 team was still laced with regulars from the Exhibition Stadium era (Henke, Key, Gruber).
Yup: there were four players who were on 1985/1989/1991/1992 postseason rosters: Key, Henke, Lee and Mulliniks (even though Mulliniks never actually got on the field in 92).
Next Year The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Team Will Be Celebrating 30 Years When They Won 1st World Series Championship Title in Their Baseball Team History
In an alternate dimension. I like to think the Jays Three Peat. Followed by the Indians Threepeat 1995-97. Then the Yankees 98-00. Then the Braves finally break through in 2001 behind the recently acquired hired gun Randy Johnson. This dimension not having the Arizona Diamondbacks organization in it. Just me spitballing. Stupid strike.
Braves thinking was jays have a very strong infield and the likely hood of him getting first base with a infield grounder wasn't going to happen. Out fielders where playing in his speed best option but I agree think it was stupid idea I agree was stupid to bunt
Still gives me the shivers watching this...Man those were the days. Lets have some better days GW...
I was 11 years old when Toronto won its first world series great memories
me tooo!

Great moment for 🇨🇦. I have newspapers from both years they won.

I was at the SkyDome with some friends and their Dad.
When the Jays won, everyone ran onto the field. Huge moment for the Jays and the fans.
I was 13
Wow, so much fun re-watching this! I had forgotten how much of an impact Dave Winfield had.
Carter & Winfield both finished top 10 in AL MVP voting in 1992.
Best times of my life✔️👍

R.I.P. Tom Cheek
21:33 Robbie Alomar stealing 3rd on an intentional walk...only time I've ever seen that!! He truly had a sixth sense.
It's fascinating how different this team was from 1993. The '92 team was still laced with regulars from the Exhibition Stadium era (Henke, Key, Gruber).
Very good point. They all had huge moments in the World Series, too. (Despite Henke not closing off game 6)

Robbie is the best 2nd baseman I ever saw.
Great video was only 10 but remember it all
Ironically, both the 1992 and 1993 Blue Jays had each the ALCS and WS series win in 6 games.
5:34 that tune hyped me up as a kid before my baseball games lol
A terrific documentary.
Alomar was such a great base slider.

They Won The World Series Over The Atlanta Braves Baseball Team Four Games To Two Games In 6 Games
38:01 and since Milwaukee brewers and toronto blue jays have played the maximum 13 games between them it's scoreboard watching time
The 1992 blue jays are brilliant. 😀👍⚾️

Joe Carter is a saint for letting Timlin keep that ball lol
42:38 CBS sports broadcast this game for the U.S viewers
1992 Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Team Blue Jays #30 1992
Has anyone had more fun playing baseball than Joe Carter?😂
34:33 & 36:44 that tune reminds of the red sox 1986 video yearbook
Limited edition. I have this tape
43:43 for *the* baseball prank of 1992
41:34 ..... greatest instrumental song for sports.
Anyone know the title?
No offence Buck. but blue jays baseball was Tom Cheek and Jerry Howarth for me. really enjoyed their broadcast on radio
Pat Borders reminds me of Brad Pitt
39:31 looks like bob odenkirk in a bad disguise
Is Gary Thorne narrating this?
Tom Cheek...he was the Jays' radio play-by-play voice.
I will never understand why Nixon bunt to end the game, what a clown

Drabeck was better than Denny Martinez at that time.
The Marines flying the flag upside down Was definitely done intentionally
