1990's Blue Jays traded and go N.Liriano .G.Hill J.Felix M.Withen J.Kent P.Muñoz R.Thompson F.McGriff T.Fernandez L.Sojo etc.. George Bell good players.
I started watching in 1989, and looking back, it was so weird how the Yankees were a total non-factor. Now knowing the following 30 years, AND their prior history. lol
Toronto's pitching was not good enough to allow them to overtake Boston. They only missed by 2 games. But the pitching wasn't quite there. Otherwise, Toronto had everything it needed to win the division. Oakland was the better team though had the two teams met in the postseason.
@@KardiFan2000 He would have THREE SEPARATE additional stints with Toronto. That to me has to be some type of record. He ended up playing for Toronto on 4 different occasions with 5 other stops in between. I didn't appreciate him in his time. If he would have been able to stay healthy later in his career and close in on 3,000 hits, he would be a Hall of Famer.

This video came with 10 1991 Topps Blue Jays baseball cards.
Yankees were really in the dumps around this time, Jays had to be good as well get a bit lucky back then😅

2 Years Later When The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Team Won Their 1st World Series Title In Their Baseball Team History
Does anyone want a ball signed by Bush Sr. and Mulroney? Would that be a collectible?
This was very disappointing season. Despite the success they choked late and missed the playoffs.
I agree I thought 1990 and 1991 they were going to win it all

This season was so depressing. lol
The last year for Fred McGriff, George Bell and Tony Fernandez as Blue Jays.
Not the last year for Fernandez as a Jay...he played 4 more seasons in Toronto later on.
