The litigant's names ARE disclosed. So what if company names are not disclosed ALL the time. I congratulate the Judge for her program "Justice for the People" because JUSTICE matters. I like this show a lot.

Second case, the defendant did not like that he was not in charge of the wake and thought it should have run longer for him. Funeral homes have a schedule on wakes at night, for they work hard and have to go home to their family also. And he is butt hurt that the people he invited dod not come, forgetting people do work and they do not always have time to show up for a wake, like kids who have shool and school activities and curfew.

That first plaintiff still has crackish ways. He doesn't have business insurance and his old machine breaks and he wants her to pay for it.

While I have immense admiration for Judge Marilyn Milian and thoroughly enjoyed her tenure on The People's Court, I find the format of this new show lacking the authenticity that made its predecessor so compelling. While I appreciate Judge Milian's intent to impart wisdom and legal expertise through showcasing various cases, the use of staged or reenacted court cases diminishes the genuine feel of the proceedings. The People's Court under Judge Milian's guidance for over two decades thrived on real litigants and real disputes, which lent it a sense of authenticity that seems to be missing in this new iteration. While I respect Judge Milian's decision to pursue a different approach, I can't help but feel nostalgic for the authenticity of the original show.

Yeah, this is what we see in college mock trial... just in the form of a civil case with only witnesses. In almost every episode there's just a rigidity to it, they don't speak like people who lived the events.

Best exemplified by the last line where she says “dude whatever you’re going through don’t take it out on me”.
I’m pretty sure he’s going through a wife dying. And you planned the funeral. And don’t know that. Lol

First case. Kudos to the Judge. The plaintiff was trying to cheat the defendant.

In the 2nd case, the defendant's feelings are directed towards the wrong person. I have presided over finerals as a clergy and the best thing a loved one who passes can do for their family is plan their funeral and write a will. It can be incredibly burdensome to plan legistics when u are grieving. I am not blaming the deceased as they can't control when they die. The defendant just seems a bit ridiculous to do this to someone who is also grieving. You have anticipated that a funeral might go over time. I blocked out the entire day when I had a funeral. Not only to leave space open but for my mental well being too. I dont get how he can be so petty in a time like this.

Fun fact. If you work a job where you don't control your own schedule and you don't have your own free will, then you're not legally an independent contractor and you should be paid as W2.

omg, the defendant in the first case just thinks that any and everything the employee does must be wrong. He is totally illogical and contradicts himself from beginning to end especially the part "she did inform" and "she should have informed me".

You are so mixed up on who was who in the court. That was the Plaintiff the lady was the Defendant, and the Plaintiff was delusional and fake businessperson, running a business with no license and insurance.

I may be in the minority here, but I actually like this program MUCH MORE than The People's Court. The People's Court became stale and boring. I don't believe these are Actors/Actresses.

Let me get this right she scheduled the funeral for a Monday then doesn't tell him they only have until 9 then has the entitlement to sue him. Accountability is Kryptonite to women
