Sir Edward, I love your Documentary! It changes everything when you add the stories of the lives of the people who called these beautiful and magnificent Palaces simply Home. How wonderful! It's a shame History Teachers didn't realize how to capture a students interest as you have. Perhaps, you could share this so as to spare future generations of children who are missing out. The stories of the actual people is what makes them so interesting. I watched on my television but I wanted to thank you so am using my phone. Hope that doesn't change or confuse any records for you. Wonderful documentary; my ancestor Sir Robert deLytton was Keeper of the Wardrobe for Henry VII & that is how I learned of this forgotten castle! I also enjoyed Prince Edward's narration;)
Richmond and Kew have a special place in my heart. My father was born in Kew. Married my mother in Richmond. My Grandfather a Consort Pianist. played in Richmond Theatre. We spent many happy summer days boating on the river. Beautiful memories of youth.
It must have been really quite odd for Edward, speaking about past monarchs when he himself is the Son of our late Queen Elizabeth. Thank Prince Edward, for taking us on a journey and learning about your ancestry.
