Thanks for checking out the video!
Jetzt fehlt nur noch ein Kommentar von Manowar.
Reden Sie über das Einreißen der Wände! Killervideo!!
THANK YOU for being unique and letting your artists and materials to be used like this. I have discovered so many new bands from your label this way from UTA and powerwolf to finding out monster magnet was still putting out singles , keep up the great work
Danke für eure erstklassige Arbeit.
This is fantastic. You all are awesome!! I get chills every time a new verse or chorus hits. Haha
Thanks for your really accurate, lovely and fun reaction!💪PS: Yes, the high note was me👼
Thank you for this awesome cover, Deine Musik mich durch eine sehr sehr schwere Zeit im Leben gebracht. Danke dafür und ich freue mich auf den 14.04 in Hannover!
Riesendankeschön für die packende Gefühl, welches der Song bei mir erreicht. Einfach wundervoll, Freude fürs Herz
Fantastic work, can not wait to get my hands on the album!
I've been a Manowar fan since they began, now one of your fans. Awesome cover. Thank you.
My prince, that was one hell of a scream. On par with Angus. You guys got into Ian Gillian territory. o7
Thank you so much! ⚔️
wait... this is a official band channel !?
I guess nobody noticed ... great work and, thanks for the cover, I love the song 😉
I love how Elizabeth has become a top tier musical critic for the metal scene. Love this, love her, love everything she has done.
There are so, so many really talented vocalists in Metal, and I think since Elizabeth comes from an opera background, she appreciates the epic, emotive, and theatrical style of metal music.
No, she has not become a critic. She is a youtuber with reaction content made to reaffirm whatever the fans ask. This is a problem with reaction videos. Most of their viewers believe that the person reacting to it is acting as a critic, but truth is it is much more just a hype person.
That being said, she is really good at hyping music, so when you already like something, and watch her videos, you'll feel great to have someone showing these feelings.
The music here tho, has too much elements, and became noisy and weird. Not good.
It's fun to watch someone enjoy something, especially something you also like. Elizabeth is very expressive and full of positive energy, so she's more fun to watch than most.
@@Lolkekexoxo Yeah, reactions are not reviews, they are entertainment. Which is not a bad thing.
@@Lolkekexoxo You're a party pooper. Go away.
Thank you so much! That made release day just perfect 🎸🎩
There he is! Lol. I was wondering when you’d show up. Lol
You guys did an epic job with that song! !..!
Vielen Dank für das Nikolaus Geschenk!!! 🤘❤
Excellent work, as always!
Hey Elizabeth now you really NEED to react to the original composers of this song. MANOWAR. Eric Adams is one of the best metal vocalists with the most amazing fry scream you can get oh and he has a range of at least 5 full octaves.
Yeah she needs to listen to Eric.
@@squatcurldeadlift7346 I promise! I will get to Eric Adams. This came to us by Napalm, so we jumped at the chance.
@@TheCharismaticVoice
Just discovered you and your channel tonight and have been watching your videos for the past 2 hours ! 😆
Your so fun to watch and it's awesome the details you go into Elizabeth.
I would recommend the singer Midnight (real name John Patrick Jr. McDonald) from Crimson Glory... a fantastic talent who is no longer with us unfortunately.
Songs off the "Transcendence" album.
"Lonely", "Painted Skies" or one of my favorites, "In Dark Places".
If your loving Geoff Tate, you will be loving Midnight !
Thanks for what your doing on your channel Elizabeth ! ! !
I have no doubt she would enjoy the original, but it is more of a sing along with the crowd doesn't showcase Eric's amazing voice and range. Something like Blood of my Enemies, Master of the Wind or Guyana would be best!
@@TheCharismaticVoice can't wait!
I can only recommend the "My mother told me"-Cover by Saltatio Mortis. The guy with the longer beard is their lead singer :) (And you probably want to wear the same outfit for their song :D)
don't forget the Saltatio Mortis cover of the dragonborn come feat. lara loft
And the latest Pray to the hunter. 😊
There can be only Spielmannschwur :D
I'm a huge Manowar fan and I can totally hear Manowar in this cover. I never heard of this group Elizabeth is reacting to, but they just gained a new fan.
Likewise. :)
I was never a huge Manowar fan myself, not sure why, partially because I didn't get into them at the right age I think (their particular brand of epic metal is a bit too cheesy for me these days I think), but this is fucking awesome :D (I've heard the original obviously for the record)
Check out the Sacred Gate version... that's a great version
Try their version of "I see fire"
Thomas has achieved peak 'cat caught in a trash compactor' vocal greatness.
Ben: "Here's a scream for you!"
Angus: "Hold my beer!"
10:30 That dude is a Notary as his main job.
That dude. In that getup.
I'm still getting to know the singers here, but I love how, at the end, the second-to-last singer rises to a high note, Elizabeth pauses to comment on the highness of it, and upon resuming the video, Thomas basically goes "Hold my mead".
20:04 Benjamin Metzner, a.k.a. Prinz R. Hodenherz III. He's _definitely_ worth looking into, the man has an incredible voice. You could dedicate multiple videos just to him. He doesn't just sing in Feuershwanz, but he also has another group called dArtagnan, which is sort of a Three Musketeers themed band. Another absolutely wonderful band.
You need to check out the Ben Metzner and Patty Gurdy duet in "Farewell." You get both bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy. The rest of D'Artagnan is off screen but you can hear them.
@@edwardmeade agreed. That's a great performance.
I KNEW he sounded familiar! Love dArtagnan
@@edwardmeade Oh I know that song/video, it's great!
He's in a live version of Night will Fade with Beyond the Black too
1st voice was "Prinz Hodenherz" (Ben Metzner)
2nd was "Hauptmann Feuerschwanz" (Peter Henrici)
3rd Melissa Bonny (obviously)
4th Alea (from Saltatio Mortis)
5th was Thomas Winkler aka Angus Mcfife (Ex Gloryhammer)
for the 1st voice check his own Band "dArtagnan"
@@bagaloot5288 yeah I know them.
First Album wasn´t absolutly mine, don´t like much the slower, quiter stuff but the last album got me. My favorite song at the moment is "Scharlatan"
*Formerly of Gloryhammer
@@numetalhistorian actually didn´t know that, quick google search confirmes that Sozos Michael is the new Singer of Gloryhammer
Ex-Gloryhammer? When did this happen?
The original is from MANOWAR from the album Warriors Of the world. The live version is great. Also the songs The crown and the ring and of corse Heart of steel
So cool to see Elizabeth not only nerding out to the vocals but giggling to pure D&Dness of it. I don't think I've ever seen so many artists in the chat to a reaction video. Thank you all, the fans notice and love you for it!
Yo I can't wait until somebody gets her out here as a featured warrior queen or something
I can't believe you have not done Manowar yet :O Eric Adams is right up there with Dio IMO especially regarding power.
You are to the point! This is one of the latest "Manowar" songs!!! Their title without "United"...
@@user-rq9zg9dc6l The album is "warriors of the world" the song is "Warriors of the world united".
It should be said, better to react to the studio versions than the live ones, he holds back in those.
Eric Adams is way better than Dio IMO
We need a reaction to Kingdom Come for sure.
Angus McFife has a HUGE vocal range!
Of course, i expect nothing less from the king of the land of fife
@@jaernihiltheus7817 Now he's Angus McSix, Master of the Universe. No joke. Look it up. Best (and only) power metal diss track I've ever heard. He SLAMS Gloryhammer for how they did him dirty.🤘🤘🤘
You're not the only one who wondered how Melissa feels dancing on top of a wall!
This is pretty true to the original, with extra instrumentation and vocalists of course. I'm glad to see ManOwaR finally getting some love. They were looked at as almost a joke for a really long time, and we are starting to see some really amazing covers by some great bands (Van Canto, Sabaton, Arch Enemy, etc). I would consider them the fathers of Power Metal.
As a fan of Feuerschwanz and all three of the guest singers, I'm really looking forward to both the original video premier as well as Elizabeth discovering three new singers (Alea and both singers from Feuerschwanz) while also continuing her exploration of Thomas and Melissa.
Thank you, Quirky Uncle Dave! I really enjoyed this and I will most probably do the original too! ❤
This is an epic cover of Manowar’s song. I think Manowar will be honored. Manowar’s video released in 2015 has been viewed by over 67 million people so that should tell you what an awesome song this is from the beginning😊 Raise your hammers to the sky!
Let's recite the warrior's prayer loud and proud:
Gods of war I call you, my sword is by my side
I seek a life of honor, free from all false pride
I will crack the whip with a bold mighty hail
Cover me with death if I should ever fail
Glory, majesty, unity, hail, hail, hail
I respectfully but wholeheartedly disagree, this feels like a lackluster cover to me. 3+ singers together and it still doesn't come close to the power of the original. It reminds me of a cup of tea when you use a bag for the 2nd or 3rd time. It's just weaker.
Epic? Honored? It's a disgrace.
2015? The original was released 2002 plus video
Man I would LOVE to see a Powerwolf reaction. He's got such a cool and unique voice
Interesting that this was put out by Napalm, who also have Gloryhammer on their books...whatever problem Gloryhammer had with Thomas, clearly the label doesn't have any.
Great reaction (as always), this was a lot of fun.
I like how Thomas sung the "Hammer of the gods" line. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but I found it funny either way
@@DaronMGL I think there is a lot of Feuerschwanz comedic handwriting in the setup ...Thoms sings bout the Hammer of the Gods...Melissa sings about becoming a man first...
It's so great!
Feuerschwanz, Melissa Bonny and Thomas Winkler in one song and Elizabeth reacting and analyzing it when it is very fresh from the press!!
I think this is the best Saint Nicholas Day present I ever have got !!!!
12/6 is Saint Nicholas Day? Learn something new every day.
Yes, in Hungary it's a fun day for children. St Nicholas aka Mikulás brings little presents (santa shaped chocolate) for the kids.
@@themobseat in belgium and the Netherlands we celebrated Saint Nicholas (sinterklaas) long before we got introduced to Santa Claus.
The Americans introduced Santa to us. But we still celebrate the 2
Loved that reaction. Just a quick note: This is a genre, medieval rock. You get many of the medieval instruments paired with heavy guitars, bass and drums and great storytelling. German bands include Feuerschwanz and Saltatio Mortis (Alea's band), Subway to Sally, In Extremo, Schandmaul, Tanzwut and many more. It's not a larp niche here, it is engrained in our german and european history and those bands are quite popular. For example 4 Saltatio Mortis albums reached no.1 in the german charts. Also the music videos are usually a visual treat. You have reacted to a version of My Mother Told Me before, but Saltatio Mortis sing it in the original old norse and filmed the music video in a viking village. I can also recommend a live performance of Subway to Sally from 2020: Veitstanz (2014 Version) (Live) that features members of Saltatio Mortis, Schandmaul, Feuerschwanz and also Patty Gurdy and Major Voice. Also quite a few bagpipes, hurdy-gurdys, violins and more in there. This is a rabbit hole, you ain't seen nothing yet!
Indeed, medieval rock (and metal) is a subgenre of folkrock particularly popular in Germany. Subway to Sally is generally said to have started the trend, although their style is somewhat different from the later bands like Schandmaul, Saltatio Mortis (who Alea is the singer of), Feuerschwanz (who started out as a parody band in the genre) or In Extremo. There's some lovely music to find here.
Feuerschwanz is one of my favorite bands and they've got some fantastic guests here. I am beyond thrilled to finally see you reacting to them!
You have the most sympathetic facial expressiones i've ever seen! You seem so genuinely happy, it's really contagious!
If you liked this... You should listen to Ding, by Feuerschwanz. It also features Melissa Bonny, and the same kind of crazy cool costumes and settings :D
Feuerschwanz is actually one of my favorite bands. The new album looks really good - it is worth to check them out, although one has to remember that it is a german band that mostly sings in german.
But for most of their songs, even the one with a bit more mature texts (since they do have alot of songs where the text is also just funny and not meant to be taken too seriously), they are super fun to listen to.
Most of their earlier stuff is basically lyrics made up of sex puns and boozing 🤣
Well, they started out as basically a parody band of the medieval rock genre, not unlike how Nanowar of Steel lovingly parodies power metal. They're somewhat graduated from that, though.
It's all highschool humor lyrics. I love it!
I love during the chorus you can see everyone in the background still signing belting out the chorus - super cool.
I love how many of the artists comment on Elizabeth's reviews!
Although I'm still waiting for her to be a featured vocalist on some of their tracks! *Hint*Hint*
A Manowar song! Hope you can find a Manowar video to talk about soon, they rule!
I'd love to see Black Wind, Fire, and Steel featured on the channel.
Hopefully you check out the original. Eric Adams is one of heavy metal's greatest voices.
Let's reverently and loudly recite the Warrior's Prayer:
Gods of war I call you, my sword is by my side
I seek a life of honor, free from all false pride
I will crack the whip with a bold mighty hail
Cover me with death if I should ever fail
Glory, majesty, unity, hail, hail, hail
Yes, but for Eric Adams' best singing, she needs to react to The Gates of Valhalla, studio.
@@stevenscharmer1765 Or "Hail to England"
@@O-D-X "Grandfather, tell me a story"
Elizabeth..... HEART OF STEEL ..... Manowar
Your reaction here was amazing and this cover of a great song is amazing. There is stellar talent here and they're killing it and having fun.
ANGUS MCFIFE!!! Forever may he reign!
You should definitely react to Saltatio Mortis - My mother told me, I feel like you'd absolutely love it.
Alea has a voice that I'd like him and peyton Parrish to do a song together.
Agreed, and also appreciate that, other than the refrain, Saltatio sings in the original "Old Norse", now a dead language.
Great reaction! Do love your analysis, as well as the facial expressions in giggles you make when something truly delights you. My first time hearing them too and the video and music are just killer.
I appreciate your artistry and insight on these songs, your channel feels like coming home energy wise
You should definitely check another cover from them, "Ding ft. Melissa Bonny"
Wow (definitely a great D&D session tune).
I've never heard lf this group or those featured guests but this is awesome. Melissa's voice pops right through the music, that slide up to the scream blew me away and I'm flabbergasted at Tom's scream 😱. The make up and costumes are fantastic and the work thrown into this was impressive indeed.
What an incredible collection of singers all in one video!
I love watching how you enjoy listening to it. Not because of the song, just because of the way you commit to it. The satisfaction and joy coming from you is making me feel amazed and little bit jealous :D Wonderful person, you are. Thank you for this reaction and analyse.
The original song is marvelous, and you should totally give Manowar a listen. "Warriors of the World" is a great song, but other good choices are "Swords in the Wind", "Gods of War", "Master of the Wind"...
and Battle Hymn ...and... and...
From a vocal perspective the clear pick is "Blood of My Enemies" imho
Yes! She needs to hear Eric Adams!
@@prodigaIProdigy From a vocal perspective I'd much rather she picked one of their more epic songs, like "Mountains", "The Secret of Steel", "Gates of Valhalla" or "Bridge of Death", where Eric really shows off his dynamics. Although I love the "hits" as well, these are more interesting songs, and honestly their best.
I agree ☝️
The part at the end where they all "do whatever cool thing they can" is fairly cool in the original as well (Eric does repeated screams)
One of the things I love about this is how they're all clearly having huge amounts of fun (Melissa balancing on a high wall notwishstanding)
What a wonderful epic remake,
and ps you're just damn charismatic, I like it when you are happy like a little child when you discover something new in the video
Wow, this is the first time I'm hearing this band. I LOVE IT! Thanks Elizabeth for yet again getting me excited about vocal technique! I always love your insight. Killer choice for a video. Keep that metal coming!
This song is badass but I get chills when I hear Melissa's voice! 🤘
You should check out something by Powerwolf (or multiple somethings!)
I highly recommend "Alive or Undead" and/or "Where the Wild Wolves have Gone". Those are the songs where Atilla's voice _really_ shines.
EDIT: Also! "Metal is for Everyone" by Freedom Call! The music video is pretty uplifting too.
The sheer joyful sincerity of your critique earned you a new sub 🤘
Always love seeing one geeking out, about stuff I love as well.
I didn't read all those comments, so I may repeat someone. Jenny... the redhead fighter is 1/4 of Dark side of the moon (Harp). Saltatio Mortis did an awesome cover of Hypa Hypa, which you should check out. Melissa did a cover of Ding with Feuerschwanz. Saltatio Mortis - My mother told me, if you are into great sets and costumes. You have a wonderful world of medieval Rock/Metal to explore, just ask Tank. Have a great journey
I think you should react to „Nachts weinen die Soldaten“ (The Soldiers cry at Night) by Saltatio Mortis ( Aleahs Band) of „My Mother Told Me“ also by Saltatio Mortis
What a party to watch that. I have to comment the "hugging" between the two female warriors. They posted fotos and small vids while production, and I really loved it. They sometimes rolled together like two wolf pups having fun, I belive you have to see more of them because I am really convinced that you will fell in giggeling love with them all.
I've been watching this song on loop for a WEEK!!!!
My friend a HUGE Manowar fan. He heard this cover and loved. Manowar not easy to cover. Gotta make ur own sound or go epic was his words. This was Epic to him
I am so looking forward to this, but also now starts the wait for Elizabeth to do one of their originals.
Watching the delight creep into E's eyes as she takes it all in is wonderful.
Wow, this cover and the video are amazing! Very fun analysis as well, thanks for this video!
i was hoping it is Manowar :)
You should definitely do more Feuerschwanz! They make the most fun songs :D
If you wanna see more, check out their cover of "Ding" with Melissa, or "Metfest"
With how hard Napalm records is going in paying reactors to do Feuerschwanz, you can be certain she will eventually...
Ding! Ding! Their cover is soooo much fun.
All of these vocalists are brilliant. Looking forward to see what the future holds for Thomas Winkler.
It was so nice to watch this and see/hear the veritable feast of images and sounds. Also nice was to be together with you in a (admittedly one sided) chat! Thanks for everything. 🤗
Awesome Cover, Awesome Singers and i think Manowar is long overdue on this Channel. As well as Hammerfall!
Alea hast a great voice.
His band "Saltatio Mortis" is also a medival metal Band. I think you would like it too
Not sure if she's looked at the powerwolf covers album they produced with their last album, both Feuerschwanz and Saltatio mortis did interesting tracks on that. Ben's other band D'Artagnan are also fun.
Bummer I misssed the premier. Ready to watch another epic reaction.
Holy moly, this cover was insane Elizabeth, they did a damn god job and actually gave me goosebumps when they hit those insane high screams/ high notes. :)
There are a lot of German medival metal bands: Saltatio Mortis, Feuerschwanz, D Artagnant, Santiano, Faun... It´s a whole genre of great music, if you want to check them out, they are great
Don't forget Schandmaul :)
I’m curious how this version is because Manowar is great !!!!
Wich is hard because Manowar just nailed their song already pretty hard!
Bad...
I'm sure these artists are great in their own right, but as a cover it's pathetic imo.
OMG, Elizabeth!!!!!! If it wasn't for your channel i probably would've never found this awesome gem (or it would've taken me quite a while)! Idk how on earth i missed that masterpiece and how the hell they managed to make Warriors Of the World Unite, one of the most badass songs ever and made it even more badass, but somehow they pulled it off and it's EPIC. Thx again for that video :)
I love the sheet joy and giggling she has when listening to these types of bands.
That grin you popped on the chorus was the same I had splattered on my face when watching this. This cover slaps so hard!
I've been on a rather hard slump this last week, and coming in to see this gorgeous music and how much people are loving it really made me happy.
Cheers!
This is the 2nd coversong they've recorded with Melissa Bonny, the first was a cover of "Ding" by Seeed. I can suggest some songs of their own repertoire, like Metnotstand in Märchenland, "Blöde Frage, Saufgelage", Methämmer, Kampfzwerg. Or Der Henker and Wir lieben Dudelsack, some of their earlier songs.
Tom's scream at the end is so good, gives me goosebumps.
Stunning Cover from Mannowar. Im stunned about Alea's transformation in singing , his voice chanched so much thats crazy good.
I love Manowar. Immediately recognized it within the first seconds. Manowar were my favourite band for many years and I saw them live two or three times. I still like them today a lot, while I also broadened my range of bands and music.
Anyway, I often feel a bit uneasy listening to a cover of favourite bands and songs, since too often I feel the cover is a "nice try" but can't get it right.
But Feuerschwanz here do an awesome job with high respect to the original while introducing a little dash of their own style and instrumentalization. Just right to stand alone with highest reference to the original. I enjoy their mix of vocalists and their singing captures the spirit of the original well. And when covering a song sung by Eric Adams that means a lot! Kudos to them. I'll check out some more of their work now.
Yes!
More Saltatio Mortis and Alea on this channel, always great so see these guys. :)
Oh my god, I just went down a rabbit hole, checking out everything on your channel^^ I just wanted to add, that of course everone will sing along to the chorus, let alone because its one of the legendary true metal songs and its by Manowar so of course people will sing along! This version is also very amazing and I'm proud to see people fron German groups get so big nowadays!
Finally got to Feuershwanz! Aaaaaand Melissa Bonny!!! FRICKIN EXCITED!
I'd love to see more Fueuershwanz reactions, the guys are such incredible singers, you'll be treating yourself.
Aaaaaaah I already know that Dark Side of the Moon song you're talking about. I'm a big Melissa fan (I've been a huge fan of female vocalists in metal since the 90's).
It is really time for you to listen and react to Brothers of Metal now! If you liked this video and song, you'll love them! They're a Swedish band with music inspired by nordic mythology, and some humour in their videos. You should listen to the song Kaunaz Dagaz, or possibly Yggdrasil. Spoiler alert: Brothers of Metal are not only brothers ;)
I immediately thought of Brothers of Metal when I saw this. Kaunaz Dagaz is a masterpiece, otherwise Hel has really grown on me. Yggdrasil is the perfect song but I don't know that it would give an accurate sense of what the rest of their songs are like.
Never heard of them. Love Manowar though, can't wait for the analysis.
Yeah, EVERY time I hear this song I get chills running up and down my body. It's pretty damn awesome.
Manowar!!!! One of my favorite bands to jam when I am feeling down and want a pick me up. Or want to get pumped up. And now I have a new band to check out too!
What an epic collaboration. Feuerschwanz, Alea, Melissa, Angus... yeah, gonna be a good day.
Also I like Alea's beard in this MV, he looks like a wizard ;)
More like really big dwarf, aspecially with his hair :P

This is a Manowar cover! 😉 Would love to see you do a reaction to the original.
We just released merchandise! Check out the full line-up here: thecharismaticmerch.com
First singer is Ben Metzner, the second one is Peter aka Hauptmann Feuerschwanz. Fourth singer is Alea. Bonny and Angus you already know :)
A little background on this song. Manowar released this album in 2002 with a specific emphasis on the 9/11 attacks. They wanted to encourage people after the fact and to resist in the face of evil. This song is a call to the free world to resist evil and terrorism. Just some context.
A little background to this style, its called Medival Rock/Metal and is, surprisingly, a mainly german music genre. It basically started with bands who made pseudo medival/folk music but had a side project making more hard rock/NDH music, most of them from Eastern Germany. Around the mid 90's many of these bands started fusing both these sounds. To this day these "founding" bands are all still active and still experiment with new and different additions to their sound.
The biggest of the "founders" are Corvus Corax (also Tanzwut), Subway To Sally and InExtremo
Since those days a lot of other bands were influenced by this style and the "second generation" has names as big as the first generation (most well known are Feuerschwanz and Saltatio Mortis, but there are MANY others) an there are always new artists adding their take and style to the genre.
Another special thing is, that many of these bands are close friends, play at "Mittelalter Märkten" (Medival Markets, what you would call a Ren Faire) and often perform together. Subway To Sally started in the early 2000's to get multiple similar bands together for special christmas concerts all over germany called "Eisheilige Nacht" (lit ice holy night in reference to their then new single "Schneekönigin" (Snow Queen)). Since than it only grew bigger and it turned into a one night mini festival with a small ren faire touring with them.
In general, in contrast to most other metal genres, most of these bands dont take themselves too serious, while having serious songs and such, they have a sense of humor thats often lacking and espescially Feuerschwanz and Saltatio Mortis can be outright clownish (at least at live shows)
Weirdly this style is not really well known outside of the german speaking nations.
Is you want to go down the rabbithole, I highly recommend older stuff from Subway To Sally (they got more into the NDH direction while never fully abandoning their roots), InExtremo, Saltatio Mortis (their Hypa Hypa cover is hilarious), Feuerschwanz and Corvus Corax.
PS: The "harsh" vocalist is "Alea der Bescheidene" (the Humble) of forementioned Saltatio Mortis. They also did an amazing cover of "My Mother Told Me"
@@robertdeelen6685 from what I have read, they have had many different singers over the years. why I wonder.
they make too many cover songs.
Do not know if I call Feuerschwanz a stable and good band
That Was the most amazing thing I ever heard. All of the are incredible singers on their own, but together I don't think any group can match them.
This was the best cover I have heard over the decades since the original. This crew really did this song epic justice.
The instruments and their combination and the costumes are typical for Feuerschwanz.
If it's not a problem when they sing normally completely German, I'd suggest to check them out.
There is a Celtic element which fits this musical affectation pretty well.
It’s a mishmash supreme. ❤️
This is a very fitting Manowar cover, loving it
Wouldn't have found this if it wasnt for you. Thanks so much!
First time commenting here. I haven't seen any reactions to Loreena McKinnett. A beautiful voice. I really, really love her song of a poem, The Highway Man. The way she uses tempo and dynamics enhances the story of the poem. I get different emotios throughout the story. Just a hidden gem, in my opinion.
The unfortunate part is there are not any good live versions, as one of the goid quality has the sound synced a second or two off from video.
Hope you do a reaction of these song. Thank you for your videos and sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I have started appreciating music and voices singing more now because I have learned from your videos.
mummers dance......
Loreena McKennitt - a hidden gem? You're not from Canada ... it seems. Also - almost every Metal-listener knows her (that's not surprising ...)
For - live-version ... the whole "Nights from the Alhambra" is available here:

It's a DVD I have never regret to buy - her voice, the (minimalistic) instrumentalisation - yeah, I'm listening a lot to Metal, Rock and electric guitars. But Loreena McKennitt was and still is something special!
@@stephanschoneberg3453 really really true....
@@stephanschoneberg3453 can confirm this not only for canada... 😉 🤘
The Highway man ist still one of my favorit Song.
"The second voice with subharmonics" belongs to Hauptmann Feuerschwanz :) Feuerschwanz has couple awesome videos, and even another one with Melissa Bonny ("Ding").
This song stirrs so many emotions deep in me.
Amazing! I was a little surprised that Melissa didn't actually bring down "thunder from the sky". She looked like a bad ass spellcaster!
