Loving the multiplayer mode. Ghosts of Tsushima is far more closer to Breath of the Wild than the Assassins Creed or Far Cry series.

The errors seem to be some type of serving ping for the leaderboards updating.
Ronin is 100% the most OP class... once you level up you or your team will NEVER use a healing barrel.

No one expected a multiplayer in Ghost of Tsushima and it’s still better than most Multiplayer based games.
I got the game at launch and when I was playing my wife looked at me and was like this is pretty cool , if only it had a multiplayer. I laughed at her and said that would never happen .
this looks a bit like mass effect coop multiplayer that was definitely advertised, but nobody cared. meanwhile this game is like 'oh ye by the way... there is more'. then you know that devs actually focused on the main thing, didnt cut content or whatever.

i would definitely pay for dlc updates to this multiplayer expansion if they wanted to extend. Particularly to survival maps, different enemies, harder hordes and different survival gameplay.

Playing that game is a once in a lifetime experience and the open world design is just so unique and breathtaking unlike any other game that I've ever played. Also most games these days force you to do some quests and the map is cluttered with things you have to do to progress. But this game is not like that and you can take your time to do what you want and explore the world at your own pace. And it was made by the same company that made gta5 so I'm pretty sure you will like it a lot

What made me understand how GOT and Legends is a outstanding game, is when you matchmake with randoms and everyone bows to each other in respect. That is the start of a good Co-Op match and it shows how much the community loves this game and the setting! 👍🏼
I unfortunately had a different experience. First time i played Legends Survival, there were three of us, randoms. Farther into the waves, say 12-13/15, one dude chimed in with his mic and starts cussing us out and calling us idiots. Not sure what his outburst seemed necessary for but Still love playing
Lol I’ve been having fun with the randoms. Most of the randoms I’ve gotten have been really good sports!

@@palina6421 so far like 10 2 player missions, 3 small but dense zone each mission. 5 4 player wave defense missions, 3 4 player raids, and 1 2 player story nightmare difficulty weekly missions and 1 4 player wave defense nightmare difficulty mission.

I LOVE that cosmetics are unlocked through achievements and not some cash shop. When u see someone with badass gear u know they worked hard for it.
I think this DLC just pushed Ghost to my GOTY. This was a huge fan service, Bravo.
It's hardly a fan service as SP has definitely been working on this mode since before the game launched. They were just smart enough to disguise it as a free update even though it was always supposed to be a feature that is included in the launch version of the game.

The nightmare missions are special. I’ve never went into a mission randomly with a random and quickly become mates. We spent almost 4 hours trying to beat it.
We never finished it but we will one day
One thing I appreciate, is the game still rewards you if you fail, but still did well. So, even if you fail in the last 2 waves of survival, after an hour of play time, you don't walk away empty handed. You can come back, ready for another go, stronger than before.
The tengus are the worst in nightmare mode

This is the best free update I’ve ever seen.. been grinding this for days now. All the classes have their ups and downs.. but man.. ghost of Tsushima mixed with PLAYER INTERACTIONS?! Hell yes. Playing flutes with fellow samurais is an awesome experience
Just the simple fact that this DLC was developed, released, and enjoyed all without putting a dent in our credit cards gives me just a little more faith in the gaming industry going forward. A fun, free DLC without any bullshit microtransactions tacked on is fucking unheard of these days. It's honestly too good to be true. It's like finding a fucking unicorn.
So yeah, I'll repeat what so many others are saying here... SUPPORT THIS FUCKING GAME! If enough folks buy, play, and enjoy this game and this free add-on, maybe, just MAYBE other developers will give their fucking heads a shake and follow Sucker Punch's shining example of how to keep a paying fanbase happy instead of just shitting on them around every corner out of pure greed.
For ronin gang, Way of The Flame stacks with the ghost weapon damage bonus. Use it with fire kunai or bombs, a black powder bomb pack, and your fire ult. Roll for status damage + and fire damage +. Ez wins. Max bonus to damage I've had is around +115%.
First time playing as a Ronin in the tutorial, my initial thought was "ah so this is the Priest class."
I was wrong.
I haven’t had the pleasure. I have been playing clutch heals ronin. I’ll try fire ronin for a change since I do love way of the flame over water master on my blade.
Edit: I wish there was loadouts per class. Maybe 3 saved to start with

Honestly this DLC is everything! I just played it for myself and I can't get enough, the fact that suckerpunch made it FREE. I mean WHAT MORE DO WE WANT?!
This is so cool, and for them drop both 2 person coop and 4 person MP. Suckerpunch punctuated this generation!
Did you guys know that General Iroh voices the narrator of Legends ?
The same actor also voiced Aku from Samurai Jack, which I feel was a thoroughly appropriate decision for this game.

For any healer mains. I suggest playing Ronin with 5 resolve. One from gear one from technique. You can carry any team by healing before someone dies. Silver carry is easy
Gold carries are pretty viable with this build too. Run black powder bombs too for massive resolve gain.
Do you use resolve for anything other than your ult with that buiild?
@@BIG_PASTA I have the same build and I use a legendary sword that enables heavenly strike. I also use the weaken debuff. Its absolutely amazing
It helps a ton for nightmare survival too.
It’s crazy that this was a core pillar of the game from the jump, they didn’t even announce it until after launch, and that it didn’t leak that it’s this fully-featured. I love it. Also, New Game+ is wonderful.
Man just looking at the atmosphere of the game and the excitement it is generating, it's fair to say this is on par with the Red Dead Undead DLC.

Witcher 3 has the best dlc of time..Blood and Wine and Hearts of stone are both great expansions.

The story mode in co-op was awesome. The survival in 4 player was kind of meh to me. The single player campaign was incredible though and this game is my personal GOTY.
Now that I'm on Gold Tier, I love it. Hard as heck, but it hits that spot that early Nazi Zombies used to. Weird, I know.
Survival is definitely more fun on the higher difficulties. It's a legitimate challenge that requires teamwork and playing your class roles.
I concur. Once you actually level up the class you can really start approaching things in a way that's completely unique.
If EA, Acti, Ubi, Bethesda, or MS handling this game, they definitely gonna hide Legend Mode behind paywall and shoved mtx for everything from cosmetics to skills. So yeah good job Sucker Punch / Sony 👏🏻
Maybe as little as 2 years ago, yeah, but not any more, save the mtx part. But all those companies release mostly free dlc with their long-tail games.
I got top of the stat kills with the hunter class. Yeah the aimings not the best but I'm able to work with it. Also I was able to defend some areas by myself while teammates ran from one survival point to another.
I really thought the hunter was the weakest class just looking at their skill tree....then i played a gold survival with one. I dont even think she needed the rest of us.
Playing as the Hunter make me feels like Legolas lmao
@@YeOldeMachine it's about positioning yourself right. I position myself around the middle that way I can help my teammates from a distance. While they are defending an area I can easily move to the next one that needs defending.
@@YeOldeMachine I wish I could play hunter as a ronin main. I can’t get out of being a ronin due to people mostly playing hunters and assassins and dying... a lot.
So you don't have to fight up close with your sword much? I haven't unlocked hunter yet but planning to tomorrow.

I had the same network problems when playing legends. Looks like it's from NAT type3 (Strict) -- Usually this happens when your PS4 is behind a firewall or router with higher security. I was able to fix it by going into my firewall settings and creating a NAT policy for my PS4. Now it shows NAT type2, and no more network issues.
Amazing addition, this free dlc makes me want to give money to the developers. It's a lot of fun and with a surprisingly amount of depth to build your character with the loot to fit your playstyle as well as skills. The people I've ran into are wonderful and I've made around 5 friends already that we play regularly and voice chat. Haven't put my controller down outside of work since I it came out! super recommend! Nice review as well ACG :D
I love the multiplayer, can’t wait for the raids. Hope they keep adding content like cosmetics and more levels/raids.
I'm doing nightmare now and I'm loving it. I can't wait to see how they do the raids. It's just so fun and for some reason I cant get bored of it.

The presentation is something I adore here, in some places it feels like you might actually be in an embellished version of events that happened in the more grounded setting of the main game with the Mongols being the "foreign demons".
The Hwacha being fire spirits is understandable as the invasion was the first time the people of Tsushima faced gunpowder weapons (and would explain a lot about their reload rate).
The mighty oni could just be an exaggeration of the massive but human brute enemies and the Karasu tengu the eagle trainers.
Love those co op moments, reminds me of gears of War when I saved someone from execution via blowing the enemy's head off.
After playing one match with my friend and looking at the customization after we both agreed it was more fun and better developed than marvels avengers

I love this update, but does anyone else think that there should be penalties for players backing out of gold and nightmare missions? It really screws over the other players.
By far one of the best content updates in a long time. Doesn't feel tacked on at all and it flows extremely well with the story.
This is great! Only 2 complaints:
1- some stats are a bit weird (stealth stat for example)
2- so many players don't care about secondary objectives in survival
I just want to be able to skip cutscenes... I got 3 kids running around, need to be able to jump in, slice and dice, and bounce throughout my day 🤣. I like being able to read the dialogue and then skip little parts!
Same, I feel like I'm gonna go crazy in ng+ watching all those cut scenes again.

I think the only issue I've had with this game is just the network connection issue, and nothing else. For something that's Free 99, this has to be one of the best DLC I've had the chance to play since getting Internet in my home 9 months ago.
I think the network errors are due to the ps update 8.0 cause i get them in other games now too
I'll give some advice as a fellow assassin, if ur team gets dropped and ur alive, use ur smoke bomb, im fact in most cases save it for when ppl go down. So many assassin players i see waste this
Other classes can also use smoke bombs. Very useful.
That network error that you have to press a button to clear usually shows up when I’m in the Legends mode and put my ps4 on standby mode. I found if you close the game completely and open it back up it goes away. 👍🏽

I just found this in the Directors Cut on the PS5 from a random NPC on the map.
I only have an xbox and it is too painful to watch videos on this game knowing I cant play it

I think playstation has a streaming service for games. You may be able to use that to play, on your pc, or buy a used PS

This looks awesome. It looks kind of like a digital version of the board game Ghost Stories.
I loved playing the assassin with the triple vanish(assassin charm) + smoke bombs. Can hold points by myself forever
As for the error thing I have it too.
It happens with some games and peoples best guess is that its a PS issue and something we just have to wait to have fixed. It happens in Persona5 and royal as well as many other games with online features. And it usually gets fixed... eventually. Just thought I'd let you know trust it's not Ghosts (or your PS4s) fault.
Also as for the raid not being added yet, I personally think its smart. Gives the players time to get leveled up and ready for the raids.

yeah man I mean say what you want about the exclusives model for first parties, but some pretty sick games are made within it.. ronin starter here, it's cool to pick the whole team up remotely at once like a mercy main

Going into any mode above silver WITHOUT a ronin is a death sentence they are just that useful. Cuz I'm always in public lobbies I always use one because EVERYONE and their mom seem to use assassins. All in all really loving legends and I hope they support it with more content. Honestly if they add micro transactions I would pay

It would of been worth at least $20. Sucker Punch released it for free and its great. It's actually a lot deeper than I was expecting in terms of character building. The story mode is still the meat and bones for me but the multiplayer is a excellent addition and something I look forward to putting some time in.

After not playing this for months, I decided to brush up on my skills to get ready for the DLC. Started legends for the first time......died embarrassingly fast. But I'm already hooked.
I'm so happy Sucker Punch is getting their recognition. I hold Infamous 1 and 2 as some of the best games I played in my life. Finally, they're getting up there with some of the other Playstation studios. Can't wait to play this game on PS5 and see what else Sucker Punch have going on.

Not a huge fan of the red colour usage i get what they are going for but sometimes its really hard to see the red rings or unblockable atacks enemies do
I remember when unreal 2 added a multiplayer mode and due to a demo crack and it being more fun/focussed than the unreal tournament (just as it started to emulate the inferior quake ~feel~) the devs/publisher killed the servers of a dammed find experience.
Good post launch support let alone multiplayer is a dammed rare thing.

When Sucker Punch comes out with a DLC better than the entire game of Marvel's Avengers
I saved up for a PS4 just so I could play this game, I waited till the latest updates it's cool to see them add this and ng plus option with alot of extra stuff. I hope there's alot more dlc for this game.
I actually didn't mind the jump from Bronze to Silver, Bronze felt far too easy.
The jump from Gold to Nightmare however,
They need a Platinum difficulty between,
I run daily nightmares now but some of the rando's I see in the wild..
We need a Platinum difficulty for those guys.

the ONLY problem I have with this is that network notification popping up at the worst times besides that I love it. Plus they need to add something else that I can buy so I can give more money to this amazing game
My only gripe is they should’ve left stances the way they were
So for anyone who scratched their head at Mass Effect 3 MP and found it to be incredible, this gives me the same exact feeling. I'm gonna sink a WHOLE lotta hours into this.
And even better, no loot boxes to unlock characters!
Wasn't quite what I was hoping for when I saw the trailer. I legit thought they made an open world and we could play in it with friends tackling camps together and tough yokai.
The levels are all very small, and I guess that's what gets me. The content is basically "Single player progression, but cut up into tiny pieces and turned into a grind"
Cool free addition but the single player is still by far my jam. Also NG+ is a bastard.
The game is amazing. The multiplayer is spectacular and highly addictive, and if you aren't trying to get all 4 players to play the flute together as one.....are you really even playing it right
