My personal favorite thing about playing GoT Legends is how polite and respectful most of the players I've encountered. They often say thanks when they get healed/revived and even bow to each other after finishing a mission (before breaking into a flute jam session lol).
This as been my experience everyday since the launch of Legends, and the flute jamming sessions are hilarious 😂 specially after completing a Gold Survival Run 👍🏼
@splashyDIAMOND agree, the old God of war never clicked with me even though i play every single one of them cuz im a big DMC fan, the new God of War are so well made its possibly a game like this will never be made in the next 5 years.

@A . B Shah High quality, no monetization, very polished, has peculiar/niche gameplay. I think you are blind if you consider this is a disgrace, especially when there are 4 games in the vid that deserve this title much more.
Reminds me of TLOU's Factions. Wasn't expecting it but blown away when I first played it. Funny because Sony's kind of given up making actual MP games since Killzone Shadow Fall early last gen (which imo was kinda underrated, but that's another story).
So, I'm a game programmer currently learning multiplayer networking (Unity-mirror) and let me tell you, just making a singleplayer game become multiplayer is already a ton of work. I'm in awe of Suckerpunch, really.
9 month old reply lol. I am not a dev but when you design for a multiplayer mode, do companies design the single player from ground up just so that it can fit a multiplayer mode? I feel this may severely limit what the single player game could be. If multiplayer was an afterthought, I’d say this is highly impressive.
@@timsohn7057 If multiplayer was in their minds during the entire design and development process then its less of an issue. There are many features that have a very simple way to be implemented that only work in singleplayer. But they are completely incompatible with the multiplayer way as they rely on things such as a global class that just keeps a reference to the "Main" character. In multiplayer there is no such thing as the "Main" Character so the whole system needs to be redesigned.
Regardless of how shitty Avengers is, if you told me that 2 AAA Marvel games would come out in the same year, I would've lost my mind back when Spiderman Ps4 came out.
Stop talking about Avengers. Let it fade away. Even the main Avengers in the MCU are mostly gone after Endgame. It's over and done with. The game is just terrible with no replayability

Bingo! When asked about New Game + SP said they added it because fans wanted it. The fact that they care what we think lol. It feels like they probably ask themselves “is this fun?” before decisions.
This is exactly why I hate Live Service/Games as Service Games like Destiny. I’m still playing Borderlands though cause BL3 is not designed around Monetization but GB was focused on making a Borderlands Game.
@@stanjon7 Fallen Order has New Game+ but it sucks cause you can’t carry over your upgrades from play through 1. It’s why I don’t play it after my initial run.
Hold my katana... ...in your stomach. They've really showed up these other publishers (devs aren't the ones who make those calls!) and eviscerated them.
Wow, who would have thought that if you are passionate about your game and also respect your fanbase than your fanbase will love and respect you right back. I know i know, groundbreaking.
In all seriousness, Ghost of Tsushima is GOTY so far. The single player was great, and the free Legends mode only makes the game in its entirety SO MUCH BETTER.
I really, really hope it gets GOTY... Even if it doesn't, I want any game to get it JUST NOT TLOU 2. I hate that game. My GOTY votes in order: - Ghost of Tsushima - Hades - FF7 Remake - the other choices - TLOU 2
@@MohanABK TLOU2 was a deserved winner. You might hate that game (I'm presuming it has little to do with the actual game) but that doesn't mean it's not a worthy winner. If GoT had won I'd have been happy for SP (since they created a great game) but kind of dulled by the inevitable bleeting of a bunch of idiot children who're only happy because TLOU2 hadn't won.
@@Hoopla10 I have played all but Hades out of the candidates. Yes, my evaluation of TLOU 2 had to do with it (the game), and not about anything else. The game was just another sequel to the previous one. A good step forward in the story, good art, and only slightly improved fps mechanics than before. Ghost of Tsushima was a masterpiece out of nowhere. Great story, better art style than all games of 2020, and more developed combat than any, aside from just Hades on the list. If GOT won, I wouldn't be happy that TLOU 2 didn't win, I'd simple be happy that GOT won... TLOU 2 was just in my bottom 2 of the candidates, so I'm sad that it won.
@@Cap_The_Captain You should check out Sekiro, it's a great game! A neat little update is due soon as well which adds boss rush and stuff, so it's as good a time as any to jump in
Just enjoy the ride. I normally despise AC-esque games but tsushima is honestly my favorite game that came out this year (until dmc5 special edition comes out).
"These Fucking Games" I have been a fan of Sucker Punch ever since I played the original InFamous as that was my intro to PlayStation. I never doubted that they could knock it out of the park when they announced Ghost. And yet they vastly exceeded my very high expectations. And then they top it with Legends...
Remember the minigame in second son where you spray paint the wall so you have to hold the controller like a spray can? I always thought that was creative. And now we got GoT.
I started with the first Sly Cooper, and Sucker Punch keep pushing what they can do with a game every time. Also, from my personal experience, they're super cool people.
I really think Sucker Punch is one of those truly special studios like Bungie or id Software. They just know how to make a good game and even their weakest entries are still great.
When so many games just become a stat stick with a bland story, atmosphere, or game play but tsushima has finally taken the step away from those awful things games been doing to create a more genuine experience that I been wanting for years.
While the game does borrow some elements from some great classics - it does it so well. And they put their own twist on it. And while I was willing to admit that for the campaign - Legends blew me away. I don't want them to get up their own ass like Neil Druckmann, but damn, they deserve the praise. I hope they keep at it though and don't get too high on the success. Because whatever brainstorming they are doing on these concepts and execution really works. The fact that the campaign and multiplayer feels like complete games on their own is something else..
It's amazing how Ghost of Tsushima ,a single player game, and Sucker Punch are doing a better job at "live service" systems then actual live service games.
Monster Hunter Iceborne has been giving players amazing free content for a whole year and more than demonstrated what a good live service model can be. Yet no one seems to acknowledge them for it...
@@yiangaruga4928 Monster Hunter has a substantial audience but it's also quite targeted rather than seeming accessible to the general public. I try to play most things (well, most high quality games of all genres whether big production or indie) and have been meaning to get around to the franchise for a long time but because I've yet to start and everyone that plays it is like 'yeah you can spend ages fighting an enemy and die and start again, you grind for items to build better gear to take down bigger monsters and that's the game in a nutshell', it seems quite intimidating. From an outsider perspective it's hard to understand the point, whereas I'm sure once you start playing the point is self-evident in a 'satisfying gameplay loop' kind of way. The difference with Ghost of Tsushima is that, in addition to fun combat with constant progression and new skill unlocks (mixing satisfying melee, ranged, and stealth combat), it's a very accessible open world kind of game with constant of beauty on offer, varied side-quests, and some reliable story telling. It's still a bit over-sold but I think that's partly in response to the TLOU2 hate some devs gave out which I personally enjoyed more. That said, it's a first that a first party game like GoT has come along with a pretty massive open world that takes 50+ hrs to do everything as well as then suddenly releasing a load of free multiplayer content on top of that after the fact that actually changes up the gameplay.
Nah its just that Sucker Punch just casually dunked on these live service giants for free. Seriously, this studio just threw shade on the gigantic studios and it didn't even charge us for it.

I laughed so hard every time he made a jab revolving around the phrase "any of these fucking games." The structure of the writing behind these videos is always a winner.
probably those were contents not ready to be in the game at release, but Sucker Punch had the integrity and honesty to not put a price to it. While other companies would cut content out a game even before release to make DLC or pre-order bonus. I dont own a PS4 and im not interest on buying PS5, but if GOT will ever release for PC, would be dayone for sure.
I could see alot of first party games get PC ports. It might take a bit but I would say yes you will get to play it on PC eventually. Until that happens you should play horizon zero dawn on PC. Absolutely amazing game, kinda repetitive near the end but still a great story and gameplay mechanics 😁
@@DarkFedoz You might be waiting a while, the PS4 exclusives that went to PC were about 2-3 years after release. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I didn't buy a PS4 until 2018, was rocking my PS3 till the wheels fell off.
Just the fact that legends launches with more (and better and more varied) cosmetics than most of the mentioned games, all earnable only by playing the game, no MTX bs, makes Sucker Punch the devs of the year.

@@meeranhaq9479 I am talking about the general quality. GoT is a good game like a 8-9 out of 10 points. A few mis steps here and there but really enjoyable and lots of fun. This game definitely gets my vote for GOTY, I love the fact that it’s free & it has more content than expected. I wish games would go back to this instead of charging us for everything added into the game.
And, oh yeah, they added a New Game + with brand new features and cosmetics to the already incredible single player experience. I also like how Legends its a retelling Of Jin Sakais stories and the missions are this altered state of things you did in the main story. This is also a game that made be so much more social then any other game. I’ve met so many new people and most people I meet through the game are always so nice.
@@Killzoneguy117 this is a retelling of the story in a sense that he says that there were actually more than one ghosts. Jin was an overall character. He was a Samurai, Hunter, Assassin and Ronin. He played all of those roles. In the story they split him and put a magical spin to some of the missions you did in the story. At least that’s how I see it, if you replay some of the missions and think back on some of the story ones they have a similar base. The one that pops in mind is the Monk Story mission bout the statue.
@@ThaCosmonaut nah. Jin definitely represents the assassin and probably the samurai, but Lady Masako is the hunter (compare the armors) and Ryuzo is the ronin (compare their straw hats). At least that's my take.

This multiplayer update is so much more than the sum of it's parts. Part of that has to do with the combat systems at play. It doesn't feel like grinding because the combat is fun and engaging on its own. You can play the same mission multiple times because the combat is genuinely fun. It doesn't get old and repetitive like loot based shooters tend to be.
AND THEY DID THIS IN 2020 DURING THE COVID WORK FROM HOME SITUATION. These guys are legends. They absolutely earned their place alongside Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, Insomniac and Guerrilla Games. Sony is a powerhouse of first party studios at this point, and they're giving all their studios the time they need to make hits.
Coming back 2 years later to say this still may be one of the most satisfying multi-player experiences of the last few years. It was and still is so easy to play this mode because of the way objectives and social systems baked in allow quick decision making. It does a great job of making you feel like a badass and keep you coming back... All without any bullshit systems that push you to throw down cash for a better experience. SP SHOULD be commended. This was not "bare minimum." Much like Blood Dragon, this feels like a passion project gone right.
I play healer ronin, I love this bloody game, most of my gaming times been bouncing between tarkov and Tsushima. My time in Tsushima has been ridiculous, the single player was fantastic, then to have ng+ added with new features in the new cycle won me over so fucking hard, then to add in a multiplayer mode that's fun, just in depth enough, has an minimum amount of skill and communication that's still high enough it feels engaging and as a healer I've had a blast keeping people alive while hacking fools up and ending the rounds with everyone chilling in my aoe heal cleaning their blades and Bowing with appreciation, or me and my partner in story missions. You cannot get any better than that, for free and without microtransactions, and enough cool stuff from the base game and or made for this mode that you feel like you've got loot thats worth it. Frankly I loved doom this year but I got bored of its multiplayer fast, I'm still playing this one everyday
The editing shocks me every single time , every single video i watch ... dude go work with hollywood this is some HIGH level skills u got there xD. Love your videos keep it up.
Ghost of Tsushima was already one of the best games I've ever played. With Legends now, it may be the overall best game ever for both single and multiplayer. It just does so many things right and is so much fun to play without all the usual BS.
I would have paid 20-30$ for this free content, heck I would rather pay full price to play this multiplayer than any of those 4 *LIVE SERVICES* game I don't have PS4 but I spend a night in my friend's house who do and I have a blast taking turns playing this game
I have played videogames since the early 80ies...yes I am over 50 and GoT is in my all time Top5. The main game was platinumed within 2 weeks, and when game + came out I was happy to do it again in Kurosawa style, but then I got hooked on legends, which I never expected because as an older guy one usually doesn’t do multiplayers...no likeminded friends, childish comments etc...the way everyone interacts with each other with respect and really supports you is huge. It pushed to get better and better until I am at a point where most of the times I end up with most kills - thanks to my fire hunter build. Thanks sucker punch and the community making it so much fun...
This game was a bigger step forward for the open world formula than I originally realized when it came out. For example, after playing this, I never want to glance at a dotted line on a minimap or a compass on the edge of the screen again. I want direction indicators to be integrated right into the world in front of me. I've had the game for months, and I still love swiping up and making the wind gust.
Good shit! You got my subscribe! I just bought yhe game 2 days ago and I've been loving it. It's hitting all the right spots in terms of gameplay, mechanics, dynamic and especially the loot. I'm a sucker for looter games. I haven't compleyed campaign mode yet but damn Legends mode is fantastic. The loot and end reward puts games like division 2, avengers and etc to shame and it's coming from a person who regretfully purchased the deluxe edition of avengers.
I bought the game on launch day and have been out of it for months because of school. Came back to try the Legends mode and I was really suprised that a stranger and I are actually working with each other. Like you said in the video, its multiplayer friendly and it does encourage people to work together. I love the Ronin class because of the revives and heals. Even if I dont get the most kills, seeing the amount of times I revived my group and had so many cluctch heals, is so satisfying.
I'm not a console gamer and while I really appreciate what Sony do for gaming with their first party titles I can't help but feel charging people to play online is pretty shitty
To be fair there's some perks you get by subscribing ps plus. For example you get 2 to 3 free games per month that you can play as much as you want as long as your subscription is active. And some of those free games are actually good such as Detroit, MGS5, Infamous Second Sun, etc.
Just your daily reminder that Monster Hunter World is a live service game, and you still need to do a review of Iceborne Ralph. Fatalis was the last major update, so the game is 99% complete now.
I just got GoT yesterday! Its great to know that after the massive campaign which Ive only dipped my toes into, theres a load of fun to have with this multiplayer co-op mode. I have been a fan of Sucker Punch ever since I played the original InFamous as that was my intro to PlayStation.
Loved inFamous too. Hope they make more of that franchise too! Legends is great!
I really think Sucker Punch is one of those truly special studios like Bungie or id Software. They just know how to make a good game and even their weakest entries are still great.
You should play the Sly Cooper games too. Sucker Punch has a lot of talent

Don't forget to thank EA, Bathesda and Crystal Dynamics for providing the comedic relief.!
I still play this. A singleplayer game’s polish in a multiplayer setting. Its amazing. No other studio has done this since.
I think Suckerpunch being a first party developer for Sony is a major factor,Sony holds its studios to higher standard than let's say EA lol
I really love the moment when me and my friends or random ppl sheaths our sword together after killing group of enemies.
Feels so badass.
I'm hooked on Legends, and I don't even like multiplayer anything in general. The only other mp game I've ever liked is MHW.
I would have paid 20-30$ for this free content, heck I would rather pay full price to play this multiplayer than any of those 4 *LIVE SERVICES* game
I don't have PS4 but I spend a night in my friend's house who do and I have a blast taking turns playing this game
Im still busy replaying the base game. I'll play lagends later. When i feel like it. 😋
Ok good for you
@@KingShibe indeed. Good for me.
The Legends mode is a whole new experience . Lovin it
I have played videogames since the early 80ies...yes I am over 50 and GoT is in my all time Top5.
Summary of this videos intro: "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!!!????"
I guess we can all agree that alongside CD Projekt red, and Santa Monica this is the gold standard of game studios now
Another one for me is I'd software doom 2016 and eternal are amazing
@@barkdawg too bad doom might end up being exclusive to Microsoft now with the purchase of Bethesda . But that's ok I'll play them on PC....lol
Nice I have a xbox lol
Suckerpunch has officially ascended to the godliness of Rockstar, From Software and Naughty Dog.
And then TLOU2 wins GOTY.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Sarthak saxena
TLOU2 deserved.
@@josephx1357 a game that alienates 50% of the gamers should not get GOTY, thats a fact
You actually don't need Playstation plus to play this. You just need it to play with others. I don't have PS Plus and I played the missions solo.
I'm not a console gamer and while I really appreciate what Sony do for gaming with their first party titles I can't help but feel charging people to play online is pretty shitty
@@NickHunter I agree
To be fair there's some perks you get by subscribing ps plus. For example you get 2 to 3 free games per month that you can play as much as you want as long as your subscription is active. And some of those free games are actually good such as Detroit, MGS5, Infamous Second Sun, etc.
@@DanuTirtadjaja Ah OK fair enough, was not aware, thanks
Just your daily reminder that Monster Hunter World is a live service game, and you still need to do a review of Iceborne Ralph. Fatalis was the last major update, so the game is 99% complete now.
God I love MHW and Iceborne. I'm kinda burned out on it now, but it's still a great game. Kinda bummed that the next one won't be coming to PC.
@jocaguz18 wont at all, its a switch exclusive. No doubt theres a Next Gen game in development though.
The final update was perfect. We got Fatalis. So happy right now!
@jocaguz18 Won't at all =(
@@JPOG7TV Yeah dude really nice final update. I'm just sad it's over.
I just got GoT yesterday! Its great to know that after the massive campaign which Ive only dipped my toes into, theres a load of fun to have with this multiplayer co-op mode. Witcher 3 is my favourite RPG and CD Projekt Red released lots of free content. It is refreshing to see another studio following their example amidst so much mediocrity within the AAA industry.
