    I already ordered the MKII last week. Really looking forward to these.
    I've pretty much have already found my endgame dynamic driver cans, Focal Clear, and my endgame speakers being the KLH Model 5s. Now I'm sure the Mests will be my endgame IEM.
    Edit: And they're fucking amazing.

      @@LucasRocha Thank you for your response. Does the Apex module actually relieve ear pressure as compared to the MEST? That's what the module is there for correct? Maaannn, i was browsing on your reviews to help me, and comparing the review of the DT990PRO with the image quality, editing and audio from now you have improved a lot didn't you? No hissing on the background, better color balance on the images, editing and script...
    Can you give me a minute of your time?
    Knowing that you hate the Fidelio X2hr with all your heart let me ask you:
    Do you think that it is the best option on the price (under $200) for specifically Movies and Immersive gaming? Or do you have any other recommendation? Also, I don't understand almost anything about distortion on headphones, so I also ask you: From your report, the X2 has a lot of distortion, especially in the bass. However, I intend to equalize it to lower the bass and make it a little more balanced. Knowing that the distortion is directly related to the volume, do you think that decreasing the bass would make it less distorted when using it at normal volume?
    By the way, after a lot of research, im saving some money and i intend to buy the Hifiman Sundara (to be my all-rounder for music, maybe too sterile and less immersive for movies?!); the Sennheiser HD6xx (something intimate, relaxing and smooth); The Grado Sr80e (portable, lightweight and with an intimate but energetic sound, especially for Rock), maybe a Thieaudio Legacy 3 (portable IEM, different experience) and another one for Movies and Gaming (still in search…). Will buy a Fx-Audio Dac-X6 MKII to power everything besides the HD6xx. For it, probably will be buying the Little Dot because i don't want to tube rolling and just will be using it with the HD6xx, maybe test it on the Sundara, and it would be another reason to go for the Little Dot, because you can control the gain. Yet, im very interested in how the Darkvoice makes the HD6xx sounds, probably looks beautiful, at least on my mind. Well, its how life works...
    Any recommendation to make my "System" better will be welcome!
    I also look forward to the possible reviews of:
    - Thieaudio Legacy 3;
    - Anker Q30 (Bluetooth Noice Canceling with long battery that costs $80 / Oluv's Gadgets little baby with EQ, thats possible on the Anker app itself. Im very curious how these compare with AKG K361BT);
    - GoldPlanar Gl2000 (saw it on your excel spreadsheet hehehe)!;

    Comply foam tips don't just improve the sound of those IEM's, they improve the sound of all IEM's. When I first got my Fiio FH5's I hated them and was nearly going to send them back until I tried them with some comply tips, which transformed the sound, and did exactly the same to the sound when I upgraded to the FH7's. It seems that the foam absorbs those excess frequencies that would normally bounce off the rubber in the silicone tips, and I really am astounded how few IEM users actually know about what a difference it makes. The best comply tips in my opinion are the isolation tips, and in view of the difference you've noticed with the sound of these IEMS, I strongly recommend you try them with other IEM's you may have previously judged too harshly.

      Hey I have an fiio Fh5 and I actually like them...but wondering how much better they could be. what size for the comply tips did you use for them? (100/200/400/500). they have round and thin versions too.. (T/Tx/Tsx)

    • @SpiritualInsanity01
      @SpiritualInsanity01 3 года назад +1

      @@TheSombereyesFor the FH5's, you need the 400's, and the best ones to use are the isolation tips as they provide the tightest seal. Another thing that really helps with the FH5's is to put a small o-ring over the neck of each earbud before putting the tips on as it prevents the bud from regressing too far within the neck of the earbud, allowing the tips to go deeper into your ears. This is less of a problem with the FH7's, but it works well with either buds.

      I am very curious about the new Audeze Euclid. Weird roll out, though - almost like they didn't want anyone to notice.

      U12t seems to be better received by most people. Mest impressed me in many way but seems to have lost its long-term staying power.

    Tuning on the Dusk is horrendous IMO. Tinny, thin vocals and very unnatural treble and timbre. Mest is much better for me.

      I had that experience at first with dusk too then realized I didn’t have them seated deep enough and needed different tips. Completely blown away by them now. Flat treble and super rich full sound.
