As someone that loves SSG Goku, I really have to ask why, in the name of God, you are questioning the fact that we didn't get Goku number 25 instead of a "new" character to the roster 💀

Just noticed his autocombo grab is meant to be the God Bind move Goku uses against Broly in the movie, where he holds him in place for like a minute. That's actually really cool

DBFZ is bound to have some wonderful breakthroughs in the modding side now that we’re at the end of its lifespan. SSG Goku may be mostly re-used assets, but it’s a huge proof of content to way more to come!

Basically, since SSG Goku is made possible through re used animations, then there would be millions of possible combinations taken across the character roster that could be put into one original/main series character

I feel like Lythero might have just ushered in a whole new world of modding with his videos.
Lythero is the true chad of the dbfz modding world, as are the many creators he showcases
I think another person played a pretty big part in this thing is Shoyoumomo. His edits are legendary and some of his Videos like fake patch notes and "Vegito Ruins Everyone's Day" are among some of my favorite things on RUclips.

To be fair, Shoyou started the trend of using mods for FighterZ animations. He's even the one who helped Lythero with the earliest animations and even recent ones, as well as teaching him the secret arts.
No disrespect to either, I love the content from both of them. But give the OG FighterZ animator the credit he deserves

I feel bad that I was never able to finish my big project after DBFZ Turbo, DBFZ Kai, before I went back to college. That being said, I'm glad things turned out the way they did, and it was great to see my work here.

It's oddly surreal to see all of these creators here. Lean, Saitsu, and RCBurrito helped me to update Lean's Super Vegito mod. (although it is outdated now lol) Ever since I stopped playing DBFZ I've been out of the modding loop, but it's amazing that all of these fantastic works are becoming more widely known. I loved testing Turbo even if I wasn't around too much, and I wish you the very best in your educational endeavors!

What is dbfz kai?
Wasn’t really able to figure out what made SSG Goku unique beforehand, not being a DBFZ player, but this video is super helpful on understanding how he works, nice job!
Same, I just hate that SSG makes them young or thinner though.
Both SSG and SSG Blue are probably just a buff to match Beerus and other Godly beings, While UI and UE makes them gain new tools and abilities.
@@gintokisan5171 ssg and blue dont feel anything close to super saiyan. Which is the ultimate equalizer that takes ALOT of effort to master and even to use. Ssb and g have no drawbacks at all and only pluses with little to no actual skill needed for them. They just feel really.....shoehorned? Idk

ssg felt unique, blue was just ssj but with godly power and blue hair which still bothers me to this day
Such a shame he wasn’t an official character. This mod is an almost perfect replication of what Ssg Goku would actually look like in FighterZ.

Looking at your mod, with the exception of Ginyu,SSG Goku does give me this sense of...culmination?
His kit is the culmination of all Saiyans that came before him (and Ginyu smh)

it feels so weird to see SSG Goku have no smear lines to see the motion better with his punches and kicks he does, but it is modding and i hope to see them add those little details in future updates

This and Ultimate DBFZ feel like the start of the DBFZ modding scene hitting a new level
I'm glad that modding for FighterZ has worked its way up to where it is today; back in 2018 this sort of stuff was thought to be impossible and now here we are with the ability to make wholly new movesets, tools, costumes, etc.
Gives me a lot of hope for the future, especially in FighterZ 2 ever comes around so we can properly start documenting things when it releases 👀

Edit: JUST finished the video & it is beautiful I've never seen this mod before! Everything from the animation and unique moveset is so smooth and fluid. Props to the creator for this masterpiece and Bagel for publicising it!

Your videos are one of the only two ways I get DBFZ content. The music, editing style, jokes, and using text to speak, is such a unique way to create this GENUINELY educational content!
Seriously, I had NO idea what DBFZ had in its mechanics, let alone ANY fighting games!

Your content has shown me how INCREDIBLY detailed this area of gaming is! I know it was difficult but I never knew it was so technical!

You are your own presence on RUclips, changing the opinions of those that want to learn all this stuff, and as someone who has never enjoyed any fighting game competitively I am SO psyched to learn more!

I saw the SSG Mod a while ago on Twitter and I remember being genuinely dumbfounded at both how well made the character was and just how many possibilities this now opens up now. We could literally have Farmer with a shotgun as a unique playable character in the future and that's pretty sick

The community starting up their own balance patch is exactly the thing I would hope for a game like this in the long run. _And they have it going already!_ I for one am impressed.
As of writing this, two new modded characters have been added to the scene: Beast Gohan, a character with stupid good neutral (I think) and Recoome, weirdly enough, who is a hybrid of Ginyu and Nappa. These modders make some of the best things I’ve seen in years, and I want it to keep comin.

I swear, even if we just had the SSG form as a kind of half-transformation for current SSB Goku (as in, he starts in SSG but whenever he does a super he changes to SSB for the rest of the time he's tagged in), it would be INFINITELY cooler
Honestly I really like SSJG, it looks really amazing when it first came out in the movie.

It's not a MoldyBagel video without a couple laughs, a bunch of "oooh's" at the cool new things you learn, and chills down your spine for every other cool edit.
Great video, and it cannot be any more understated about how the community for DBFZ has carried this game from the start; I love this video. Without any of the cool people in the competitive scene, the really cool entertaining content creators, and the modders allowing these sick models and mods... DBFZ wouldn't be what it is today.
... ALSO THIS MUSIC CHOICE ALONG WITH THE EDITS TO GO WITH IT? Chills when Goku appeared behind Beerus... and when Jiren saw Mod Jiren. The footsteps syncing to the music is gold.

I think modding is one of the best things to happen to modern gaming. Not only is it getting easier and more available, but creators are getting more ambitious and it's really paying off. Lots of Dragon Ball games have sick modding scenes, too. FighterZ has great stuff and is quickly getting better, Xenoverse 2 has heaps of cool custom additions that make the game 10x better, and BT3 recently got the BT4 mod, which basically made it a brand new game. I love modding.
Honestly, i see the SSG Goku mod as moreso promising.
On its own its decent enough, but it's a sign that hopefully, more extensive modding will be possible in the future.

I feel like a retextured version of Adult Gohan's Lvl 1 (without the levels and would only spend 3 bars) would have worked better for his Level 3, because it mimics the move Goku uses to destroy the Beerus Ball in Beerus's and SSJ Goku's Dramatic finish

A mod with a custom moveset, awesome. While I don't play(or even know how to use) mods on PS4, I can appreciate the passion that goes into mods like this. Personally, I think it'd be kinda cool if someone made a custom moveset for Ultra Ego or Majin Vegeta.

Raditz on Bardock was already awesome, but mixing and matching moves from the entire roster to make new movesets?? Quite incredible! I'd love to see what comes next. I'd love to see characters like Tapion and Omega Shenron be given life in this game.
