    Snagged the 360r for my ryzen 3900x, keeps it idle at around 30c at 4ghz.
    Liked it so much I bought the 240 for my fiancé’s micro atx build. Some people I’ve seen on reviews complained about the fans being loud. These things are whisper quiet. I’m assuming they got a dud

      Not only that but you can buy fans relatively cheap. Like I have Arctic fans that are absolutely amazing and they pair well with the radiator. Just triple check to make sure it's to daisy chain kind to make your life easy. I got three fans for 34 bucks

    You should probably advise that MSI had already issued a recall for the MAG Core Liquid 240R and 360R. MSI said that a "small portion" of these AIOs are producing sediments that cause blockages which results in messing up the AIO's heat dissipation. This seems to only affect a small portion of their AIO but you wouldn't want to run the risk of getting a defective unit so just stay away from it.

    • @Y0riginal
      @Y0riginal 3 года назад +1

      You have to check, whether the header on your motherboard is set to PWM Controlled or DC Control. It could be, that your fans are running full speed the whole time. And I heard from some other reviews, that the fans may be a little louder than for example noctuas, but in a case you shouldn’t really hear them when the cpu is idle.
      Edit: PWM is right, you can control them via MSI‘s Dragon center then.

It is like a buzzing sound, i think the pump is going 100% but the fans are going 15% so i cant really hear them. @@sovie7141 The CPU_OPT or the CPU_FAN headers should be fine. I would suggest daisychaining the fans into CPU_FAN and plugging the pump into CPU_OPT. You then should be able to control it via Dragon Center or the Asus software.

      @sovie7141 3 года назад +1

      @@Y0riginal Hi again, can you control the CPU_OPT fan? I cant do it in bios, maybe i need a software for it. Does daisychaining means using a fan splitter? Thanks in advance

    • @Y0riginal
      @Y0riginal 3 года назад

      @@sovie7141 You can set the fan curve in the BIOS. But control is via a software. Just type „MSI Dragon Center“ and go to the official site from MSI. There you can download it. The Fan controls should have a function, where you can plug them in into another. I don’t exactly know wether the splitter is for the argb or the fans. You can use a splitter as well, but they should have the function itself.

      You need to have an ARGB Header on your motherboard. Those are 3 Pins and not 4 Pins! Really important not to swap it, you could damage your motherboard and fans with that. if you don’t have a Header, you will need an argb hub. That’s pretty ennoying, but the only way to get them working. Amazon has some of them, just look at some reviews or ask in a forum. There are some good articles about that!

      Edit: Normally in the Mystic Light Tab under Dragon Center you should do it. Maybe mystic light is an own application. You could search for mystic light MSI and maybe download something there. But only download from the official site there.

    Junk. Their recall on this unit is poor. Small batch of V1 affected? Try all of the V1 are affected. Found out that my AIO is part of the expanded recall but it was too late. Already in the dumpster before they updated their database.
