The stands are running us ragged. Been doing 12-14 hr days just trying to keep the stands stocked full . Might have bit off a lil more than we could handle this yr by adding a bunch of new stands .

Karen is bundling and I’m either hauling, cutting or splitting wood. I’ve perfected sharpening that chain to cut…done it enough after hitting all the hardware I find in the tree service wood! The donuts and the gift from Dave were a bonus today! Phil hydrates with Mtn Dew. Water for me! But I’m getting him to come over to the other side because it’s been so hot! 🥵

You probably thought of this, Maybe put a handful of kindling in each bag. It will allow you to get rid of some kindling and make more bags with your wood supply.
That’s a good idea Ralph. I hate to take away from the bigger pieces of firewood in our bundles though. Maybe we can do a special…free bundle of kindling for every 3 firewood bundles purchased. It’s at the point that we’re really not seeing any revenue from the kindling, but maybe it could boost the bundle sales. Worth a try!
I don't know if it has been said but there is a right direction to load hog rings. Put the strip of rings on the gun and look at how they sit on the slide bar the should look smooth on the bend. If you load them in the other direction they will look stuck together and that will cause the jamming. I used hog rings guns for 28 years building seat for mini vans. It has to do with how they are glued one way makes the turn smooth and the other binds. I hope it solves your problem.
Thanks Neil! We do have the hog rings loaded right, but the first gun jammed shortly after we got it and we took it apart to get the jam out and we think once it was put back together things may not have been aligned properly, which caused it to jam here and there. We've been using the new gun and it's working much better! Thanks for the tip!

WOW, those are some nice logs you are sitting on. First time I have seen Buster stuck, that was a heck of a knot. You guys really keep busy. How many firewood stands do you have out this year?
We got some great saw logs with those loads of wood. Buster will occasionally get stuck on those real knotty pieces. This year we’ve got 8 stands out. It should be more but we haven’t had time to get more stands built yet. Take care Jim!

We'd love to have a couple more stands as active as that one Dono! We are surrounded by lakes and in a busy tourist area. A lot of campers here during the summers and they all have campfires! We don't leave our stands out in the winter, with storms and snowplows, it would be hard to maintain them and not sure how much business they would do. We'll leave them out as long as we can into the fall. We might be able to try one in front of the shop this winter with hardwood just to see how it does. It's close enough we can keep it cleared out from snow. Sure would love to have Andy here making bundles! Can't seem to get him! Take care!
This is a business and we’ve been working 12-14 hr days 7 days a week for a few weeks now. As a business, when you get busy, sometimes you need to make choices about what is most profitable. Unfortunately, RUclips is the least profitable and actually costs money and time to produce videos. This is our busy season, we have to make our money now to last throughout the winter. Once we’re able, we’ll definitely be putting more videos out. Would love to do more videos, but our situation just doesn’t allow for it right now. We really appreciate you watching, thank you!
We get $100 for the totes if we have to deliver them, but $50 if they come pick it up. Saves us the time and fuel. We said we weren't going to help load it, but this is the first person to come pick up a tote and we just couldn't help ourselves Rodney lol

Thanks! It’s about 35” high. I’m 5’11” so it works great without making my back ache

Thanks Al! We sure wish all the stands were as good as that one. But you're right, we probably wouldn't be able to keep up with it. Bundling every day and we just go through them so fast. lol, thanks Bob! Sure wish we could have stands out all Winter but just doesn't work here in Maine. One snowstorm, the plow would wipe out our stands lol. We might be able to try one in front of the shop with hardwood this winter if it's set back from the road far enough. It's close enough for us to maintain. It would be a good experiment.
