Everyone, I got a couple GOOD questions about this, so I wanted to clarify it, as my wording was very confusing in the video @ 7:10 - I was measuring the plane as being tail heavy, but it felt like it was flying NOSE heavy, so I moved the battery FURTHER back to see if it would help. I had another commenters suggest that the way I had marked the CG on the wings was wrong...I used a piece of paper to lay tight along the leading edge of the wing to the recommended points - This was wrong because you're supposed to measure STRAIGHT back, and I was following the contours of the wing, so my marks were ahead of where they should have been. This would explain why my plane was flying nose heavy, while measuring tail heavy. Sorry about my mistake. We'll fix it in the future.
.. we're all human ....really enjoy your videos ...at 55 years old , it takes me back to my childhood and my first RC plane ...Kraft radio and servos etc ...thx to my dad ....thx again ...ps yes subscribed 👍 ..
I have a question on the terms you use. After the correction, and as soon as you turned on the flaps, you remarked that it was much better. What was different? You said you have "plenty of elevator authority now but with no ballooning." What does that mean? I'm new if you can't tell.
@@jdouglasj2000 he corrected flap corrections in the transmitter if you go back and look he lowered them.... Also he had more till authority because he mechanically trimmed the elevator after his 4s flight....I know it sounds a little confusing but he corrected both of these issues while being inside then when he came back out and flew this is the part you saw 👍
Ordered and received this plane a couple of weeks ago through your generic HH link. I will place all my future purchases though your links to support your channel. Thanks to both of you for posting these very informative and detailed videos, it is very much appreciated!
Awesome, thank you! We really appreciate you doing this. It helps us out to have a few buck when you buy a plane, and you get to take full advantage of the Horizon Hobby discounts and coupon codes, etc. When we started doing this channel, we never imagined where it would take us. We're very blessed to have such an awesome audience! Thank you NH Jim!
Love following your Channel and had to laugh because I picked up an Air Tractor 1.5m and for the life of me, couldn't figure out the tail wheel assembly. I jumped on to watch your build video, figuring you would answer my questions, and after watching you and your wife's confusion, I felt better:) Keep up the great work brother!
Thanks for such a detailed build and set up. Have had this plane for over a year and just decided to tear into it because I have been gun shy after wrecking thousands of $ in planes due to improper setup. You and the camera crew are the best!. Love the banter and inuendos!🤣
hello brian, I had my first flight a few days ago. It flies really well, no trimming was necessary. It was really good that I watched your videos before. To be on the safe side and from experience, I secured the tail unit with epoxy resin and longer screws on the landing gear. greetings from Germany
Geez , such a great plane and looks so easy to control , but then it is in the hands of one of the best RC pilots on RUclips P.S. love the nose lights they just give it that little touch
Yes Brian I just want to introduce myself my name is Jerry I watch your show all the time I just want to take time to tell you I think you and your wife are two of the coolest people and you two get along so good with each other I just want to wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you some cool air planes
This plane and the RV7 are very different animals ;) Our video is coming soon for the RV7. The RV7 is small and CRAZY. The Air Tractor is Turbo Timber Light. Can I give you the typical Brian Phillips answer - get both ;) Air Tractor bit.ly/3tqdyHe RV7 bit.ly/3DqNqSd
Brian, your camera crew is one of the best on u-tube! she does a great job and usually bails you out on builds. Keep up the good work you all make a great team. Now a few questions? 3 planes of interest 1) eflite 1.5 mustang 2) eflite 2.1 ss cub 3) fms 1.7 Corsair What’s your opinion on any of the 3 for intermediate flyers (ease of flying) any of them fly like the air tractor?
1) 1.5m Mustang flies well, but you better have a full scale landing strip as it gets wonky as heck on landings, and it's heavy...so it's not near as enjoyable experience on PAVEMENT STRIPS as the 1.2m P-51D, which is also much cheaper... Harder to fly than the Air Tractor, but not a "Hard" plane to fly...just hard to takeoff and land, which is not A-typical of tail dragging, high P-factor Warbirds. 2) Carbon Z Cub SS 2.1m is flawless, if you don't mind having fairly expensive batteries, and have a means of getting it to and from the place you fly. It is very good, but wish HH would have added LED's at this relatively high price point. Flies like a dream. I've literally ran into the power lines with her, and kept flying for 5 minutes before landing. I also had the spinner and prop came off (which took me 2 minutes to find, BTW) and dead stick landed on the runway, no problem...this was a fluke, but shows the extreme good flying characteristics. I should have knows the collet was loose - this was MY BAD, but HH sent me a new cowl to replace my damaged one!!! 3) 1.7m Corsair - Jury is still out. I have the "new" prop to speed it up, on the way. I'll republish a video ASAP when it arrives. I'll do it like an unbox, build, and re-maiden (at the beginning) - Ask me in a week ;) Flies and lands pretty easy. Looks and feels great on grass, since it's HUGE, but he thing will do okay on pavement if you grease the landings. I have videos on all three, so watch the videos.
I’m using telemetry with my 637T open stock RX in my Turbo Timber. Your Tractor receiver may be locked for programming. Power up Tractor and scroll down to Telemetry, select auto configure. Find Volts and set min volts to 14.4 which is 3.8 v/cell for a 4S. I get voltage audio every 30 seconds but no audio warning when volts go below 14.4. Instead I use custom voice “volts” in the Telemetry category. So any time I cut the throttle and move the C switch from 2 to 1 and when I hear 14.4 I know that after landing I’m at around storage voltage. One day I hope we will have official written documentation from Horizon.
I don't have voice alerts on my DX18, as it's a Gen1 :(.... BUT that being said, why doesn't a transmitter of this caliber come with more documentation??? I've always been baffled by this. As for the low and high thresholds, why even have them if there isn't an alarm to sound or activate when the threshold is hit. I find this to be very disappointing, but still LOVE my DX18.
Brian--Just assembled my Air Tractor, my horizontal stab also has an obvious downward warp on both sides, a little more so on the left. Maybe a flaw in their mold? Also that tail wheel setup is confusing. I set up mine like you did the first time. If the steering is crappy I will install that extra piece, although I do not see why the simple set up will not work. Overall I think Horizon did a real nice job on this plane, they just keep getting better and better. In a week or two I am going to get the Conscendo, I have a bunch of 1300mah packs that should work good and keep the plane light.
Brian Phillips well I make movies on my journey in RC and try to show problems and how I fixed them to help people and have a laugh. I think making videos helps my wellbeing hehe. But I like to watch channels like yours as well, almost a community 👍🏻 Chris
For sure - it's a community. We once knew a guy who was a professional movie maker, and he used to rent and fly aerial photography from helicopters...this was way before the days of drones, as you can imagine, but I can't even recall what his company was called, or what movies he produced. I feel bad about that!!! I got the feeling maybe that was what you meant...
Just picked mine up today, and I watched the unboxing portion of your video again after I unpacked mine. Haaaay, Mine was missing the "chop thee fingers off warning" decal on the battery lead, hahaha. But as a bonus, they got my receiver mounted 100% square, so i'll take that instead! :)
I was yelling thru the the video but I guess you couldn't hear me. LOL I believe the extra yellow part was for the Water Rudder if you install floats. I noticed the eyelets for the nylon line to hook up the float rudder. I left my off the the tail wheel works just fine. But it was BS the didn't have instructions for the tail wheel.
I think it's maybe a step up from the Timber 1.5m, since it's not SOOOOOO capable, you actually have to be somewhat present to fly well, if you know what I mean...
I just got this plane and setting up. When setting up the Gyro and SAFE. everything I have seen, the plane needs to be level. You set it up on the three point wheels. Which should I do? Thanks.
This plane is a BNF, so you don't really have to set that part of the setup (it's factory set)... HOWEVER, if you're doing a PNP, where you install a virgin Rx, which would at ONE point only require you to hold her "level" for setting the SAFE "level" home position.
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank you for clarifying that. I do have a PNP that I have struggled with and you just cleared that up very simply. And, thanks for monitoring since you did this review 3 years ago. I enjoy your reviews.
The videos show what I see. The flaps have plastic hardware, since they're fowler flaps....but the rest, I'm not sure. Embedded plastic hinges are nice, but usually only on the highest dollar planes.
I want so badly to make a dripper and make smoke, possibly on the motor when it's hot???, but I don't want to catch the foam on fire....she's just too darn beautiful!!!
CRASHED my Air Tractor, some how the plane took off with a weird trim causing it to stall from a vertical takeoff. The plane couldn't overcome the up trim. my question is the flap servo's are damaged do the have to be a reversed servo only? Bought SPMSA332 these are not reversed. love your channel, thanks for helping the sport to stay alive.
I honestly don't know. The Flaps channel is pretty easy since it's not controlled by AS3X or SAFE....so if they operate the wrong way, you can simply reverse the channel, but if you have ONE that goes the wrong way, and one that goes the right way...this is more of a pain in the butt.... Choice 1 - Physically disassemble the electronics inside, and swap BOTH of these things...the motor leads, and TWO of three of the feedback potentiometer, and your servo WILL be a "reverse" servo...or at least it'll be reversed from what it HAD been. Choice 2 - Buy and use this on only ONE of the two servos....and it'lll reverse the direction it operates... Servo Signal Reverser amzn.to/3qgEqHF Choice 3 - Get a different servo Choice 4- cut the wing so the servo can "Face" the other way...thus changing the output direction.
Less flight time, since you'll use it up quicker ;) If you're disciplined, you could make it last longer, but most guys I know (and me) will just want to fly more crazy ;) Whatever the flight time was on 3S, you'll be about the same on 4S, with equivalent size.
Commander is way better all around, but the Tractor is for scale looks, and it DOES also fly very good too. Air Tractor bit.ly/3PoSL2c Commander bit.ly/3OqIJw2
Hi Brian, can you please please tell me what the diameter of the spinner is? It is sacriledge that this didn't come out with an aluminium or chrome spinner as standard, mine is in the post and I am considering trying out one of my bag full of FMS PC-21 5 blade props (long story about China) but I have to fit a metal spinner, it's a hallmark of the Air Tractors - those PT exhausts need to be bronzed and blued too, cable cutters, a wiper and a better panel and she'll be gorgeous
LOL - Exactly!!! This year has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better, but it's also been real dry, and just mowed last night, and came in covered in dust - YUCK!
Hi Brian. I just got the tractor and I noticed something about it that was interesting. The grey exhaust pipes in the front are not even. The right one is pointing a little up and the left is pointing a little down. Do you know why this is. Thanks
yeah, but this plane does well somewhat indifferent to CG. It's not as critical is it is on other airplanes....pretty much, you just have to trim her level and go for it.
A guy crop dusts near me with a full size one of those!! Love to watch him!! He does such low or should I say shallow/steep turns!! Runs a turbine powered power plant! Sounds great! One of my old sayings, which you are welcome to use is,, turns on a dime and gives you 9 cents change!!😉 Love all your videos. Camera crew is great too! My wife has 0 interest in my planes!😡 she don’t need to like them but it would be nice. Oh well, I can’t get into her sewing hobbie to much.
Yeah, they fly one around here too, and it's something to behold!!! When that plane screams, it's pretty awesome! As for sharing hobbies with your wife, my wife doesn't really care about plane too much either, but she's supportive, and I really appreciate her help too!
Seems everyone flying this model for the first time comments on the elevator adjustment. I'm thinking it may be the short distance between the main wing and the elevator. I haven't flown mine yet, but may try extra expo and less travel.
Yeah, it's just an unusual issue on an Eflite plane....not to say it's an Eflite issue, but more I think it's, like you said, an air frame issue. As for being a problem...I hadn't even remembered this issue until you mentioned it here. Super easily overcome, and I wouldn't use that as a "deal breaker"...but this plane is a bit more tricky to get flying amazing. Kinda reminds me of the Twin Otter, in the sense that it's BEAUTIFUL and SCALE, but it just takes a bit more to get it flying ROCK SOLID like some other Eflite planes more or less come out of the box already flying... Hope this makes sense.
I go over my Expo setting in the radio setup on this and most all current videos. It's highly subjective if you ask me...so you can copy mine, but you might like more or less...
For better ground control after landing I got rid of the springs on the tail wheel and installed metal control rods. Z bend on one end (tail wheel control arm) and ball links on the rudder arm makes the ground control 100% better
Thank you so much. I just purchased this plane and I found your video extremely helpful. I am a little nervous right now before my first flight. I was up late last night fine tuning all the controls. It has a lot more power than my Timber but as long as I get this thing in elevation I should be ok. By the way, try skin so soft next time during mosquito flights!
Glad it helped! We were very fortunate to live a life mostly free of mosquitoes this year because it was so dry, but unfortunately, we had a very poor yield of hay on our second cutting due to this same dry weather ;( Oh well, win some and lose some ;) Thanks for being here with us Todd! Hope you'll stop back again.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yes, my hay is short this year too. Tons of rain. I just flew the Air Tractor a few minutes ago. I have a little bend in the screw that holds the propellor. I ordered a new one but backordered till december. Think a machinist can straighten it?
Tailwheel instructions were a mess. Looks like you set it up the same way I did, no issues. There were other inconsistencies in the manual as well. Looks like they need to update it completely.
Yeah, agreed. Strange, the plane goes together pretty easy, but when they send instructions, I try to look them over. Seems the screw sizes are the worst part of any manual anymore.
Good to know Micheal, thanks I thought I could be on the right track as the field I fly on is like 3" grass. On a setup question for those in the know, what is your aileron throw? as well as elevator and flaps. I have it set up per the manual, which to me has it acting kinda lethargic.
So when you set Aircraft Type in thie video, you choose 1 and 1. But the picture on the radio shows by servos, and this plane has 2 and 2? That is confusing? It's using all 6 channels. Any thoughts?
I talk about it a lot in many of our other radio setup portions of build videos, but I must have omitted it here - CONTROL CHANNELS are not the same as the number of servos. Sometimes servos are controlled in groups because they're wired together...Other times we MIX the control in the Transmitter or the Receiver. Example 1) Think of a split elevator - both are controlled by ONE STICK on your radio, right? Example 2) Think of ailerons - one on the left wing moves one way and one on the right wing moves the opposite - NOPE, they're mounted OPPOSITE ;) This is how we easily accomplish this all too common feat...BUT you're still using one STICK. I know that in the realm of computerized radio systems, it can be confusing, but just give it some time and you'll get it. We dive into a lot of detail on other planes, and you'll get it soon. I actually talk a lot about this in the recently released XFly - T-7A video, if you're curious.
One thing I have found after flying this plane numerous times, The elevator trim kept changing What I found is that the horizontal stab is loose in the fuselage, I was wondering about this when I assembled it. after many flights the horizontal stab can be moved back and forth. So I squared the stab with the wing and fuselage and glued it in place. no more trim change
What a janky tail wheel setup is right!!! lol Come on Horizon, where's your instructions for this whole step? Glad I wasn't the only one who was overly confused by this silly simple step. Couple tips for others: Those thick coarse screws for mounting the aluminum bracket were slightly too large go through the bracket freely without the screws binding up at strange angles, so I drilled those holes out slightly for some play. Next your clip of screwing in those coarse screws looked dangerously tough going for my comfort. Yours had me clenching my cheeks hahah. Didn't want to risk splitting the plastic or worse sheering off the cheap screw heads on the way in, so I pre drilled out the yellow plastic holes ever soo slightly to ease the install. They were still very snug so I got the size just right! Then I was really liking how you initially attached the springs directly to the control arm, and not that additional extended yellow arm with those set screw clamps. So I did some research...If you zoom in on the Air Tractor pictures on Horizons site, you can definitely tell the springs are hooked directly to the control arm only like you first had. On one or two of Horizon's Air Tractor videos, I was able to get a glimpse that they didn't use that adapter either. The springs are parallel looking and not V'd out like they are with that arm. A shot on Pilot Ryan Media's video shows he hooked them direct too and didn't use that extended arm. So I'm confused as to what that extended yellow arm is even for, floats only maybe? I did end up building mine initially with that piece but think I will give it a try both ways to see if it even matters? It feels to me like the springs will stay hooked in better directly hooked into the hole in the arm than with those set screw clamps.
Question if I have to remove the wings to transport it to the field do you think doing this continually will make them loose on the tube and going into the fuselage? Do you think removing and reinstalling those screws in the wing numerous times would make them loose over time as well? The Timber Turbo Evo and Apprentice wings come off and reinstall pretty easily and no real concern about doing it numerous times over a long period of time... Just wondering what your thoughts are, I'm thinking it's one of those planes where you install the wings once and leave them installed.
Yes. It will wear an tear the system. I highly recommend NOT removing anything you can KEEP together... I would say the Turbo Timber is a bit of a nuance, in that the wings are SOOO easy to remove. These and others are not quite the same. Seems the low wing planes or any plane where there's a "pocket" to receive the wing, they're gonna get more beat up with repeated build and build.
@@BrianPhillipsRCThanks, I'm not sure the Air Tractor is for me due to transporting it to the field and it not fitting in the truck without removing the wing.
Indeed, this plane is obnoxious in that they clearly designed it on paper for easy wing removal but then totally flubbed it by making the screws difficult to get in and out in actual implementation.
I usually have a real hard time putting these planes together when the instructions are poor, but I can say from the hundreds of planes I've put together, HH does the best job of all of them...but could still improve. Hope you have a great experience with the plane in the air, it is a BEAUTY!!!
Isn't there a way to put the lead connector on an empty channel, (ch6?), Then assign that channel to a switch (knob?), to turn the lights on/off? (In theory, to me it sounds like it.) Thank YOU sir! 👍🏻
No. The PWM that changes as the output changes is not going to have any impact on the lights. You CAN use the BEC voltage from any servo connector or wire to power the LED, but you MAY need a current limiting resistor in series with the LED :)
But you CAN do this with a module. They're cheap and easy to find - here's an example... amzn.to/2QGaEjP ...this will let you turn them on and off easily. You can ALSO take a broken servo, and tear off the motor and replace the motor with LED, and you'll be able to run it that way.
Kinda random question, my Spektrum Dxe transmitter fell off the table and the throttle/rudder stick broke off at the base what do you think is the best way to fix it?
You can try to get the threaded part out, or drill and tap a new hole and then put a small machine bolt in it, OR just buy another one...at least it was a DXe and not an iX20....
Hey Brian. Well i guess we're on the same page; you did a vid on the dynam bf 110, and i bought it, and now this air tractor, which i will buy as well. Thanks! Someone may have already said this, but the prototype air tractor has y struts on the horizontal stab.
I live off the beach, and when I fly at night, the birds go beserk. Not so much in the day time. It's some sort of sea bird colony, but they will try and attack my planes. It's almost like a dogfight or really a bird fight..lol. They've only touched it once...lol
Justforkicks - I've only had a few GOOD dogfights with birds, but speaking of dogfights, my cats (the three kittens) were biting the tail feathers and rudder of my Night Timber X!!!! I was pissed to find the little, tinny, tiny holes all along the tail. They must just need something to clean their teeth????? Hope we can get this behavior modified soon. I have a lot of planes on the floor in the basement at the moment.
A great way to get rid of mosquitoes is to have a big shop fan blowing air on you. Mosquitoes can't fly in high winds. It would make it hard to record a video because of the noise but it works great for me ;) The Air Tractors are crop dusting the fields around me this week. I have been driving under air tractors breathing God knows what this whole week. This is better.
Great tip! I want to try it some time!!! We got the bug zapper running, and it gets FULL almost every night. Just hollered at Megan that we need to try this out!!!
Do you have issues keeping the battery in place on the Air Tractor? I love this plane but I am going to have to rig something up to keep the battery where I want it.
I did have some issue, but it's not insurmountable. I'm not a huge fan of velcro on my lipos, but with EDF jets, it's somewhat of a necessary evil. My batteries had to be so far forward that the velcro makes it hard to slide into the plane.
Yea my twin otter has the same curve in it as well and goes straight when the elevator is fully deployed scratching my head on that one still. And thanks for reviewing the Air Tractor cause that’s the next one in the cart!!! And I have a question real quick because I’m stumped on something with the Eflite SU-30 I just got yesterday after I had a horrible flight with it today seemed like it was losing signal at like 100 yards and every time I plug the battery in I had to rebind it to the transmitter. Is that a RX problem ? “and safe as well won’t work” I’m leaning towards the receiver is defective. I checked my TX with my other planes and no issue any help would be appropriated thanks and happy and safe flying!! And yes btw I seen that with the thumb lol all I can say is it’s a great one definitely better with flaperons!!!
That's no fun at all!!!! I'd be leaning that direction too! Are you doing the bind procedure with the BIND BUTTON or the BIND PLUG? If you're doing it with the bind plug, try the other method, and opposite. I once had a DX5 (I know - old, and inexpensive, so might not be a great comparison) where the antenna BROKE inside the foldy part...I lost a Sport Cub S UMX also, when I had the single antenna break from the multipurpose Rx Brick. Both conditions were a mechanical break... Did you, or CAN you do a RANGE TEST? It's a very good tool, but admittedly, I've only ever done a Range Test ONCE ;) It was on my Airbus A330-600, right after I swear I lost signal on my A320 and lost it - but later realized (or remembered) I just screwed up...
Brian Phillips it only has bind plug you think for all that money they would of used the new smart RX!!! I figured it out they had the BEC hooked up to the signal and the ground it’s supposed to be hooked to the power and ground so it wasn’t remembering that it was bound so I just unplugged it switch the wire around and everything works fine now leave it to Horizon to make a simple mistake LOL and can’t wait to see your next vid bet I know what it is LMAO and like I said set up flaperons it’s great with that mix. And yeah I have a DX eight I think I wanna get the 12 channel or 20 though then I never have to get another TX again unless they come out with new technology!!!
I'm so glad you got her figured out!!! As for the next video, I don't even know what it will be ;) We have three projects going right now, and ONE will be released later on, due to scheduling constraints from a partner, and the other will be released when we're done with it, and the last will be released in the gap....we ALSO have about 10-15 hours of farm related footage, which will perform poorly on the channel, so I have to release it JUST before some better footage, so people don't go crazy complaining - LOL!!!
Yeah, but I'm one of those unlucky dudes that will get 100 bites while everyone else at the bond fire gets 1...It's a blood chemistry thing. When Megan is getting attacked too, you know it's bad. NOTHING LIKE LAST YEAR - Thank GOD!!! It was atrocious
Hey Brian. Love the videos. On take off into slight wind and with safe on my air tractor abruptly went vertical so much so that I couldn't control it and nosed into the ground. I confirmed before take off that safe was on. Have you ever noticed an issue with safe select on this model plane?
Never. I assume you had a servo fail, but could be as simple as a screwed up trim. Did you initiate it LEVEL? The newer (SAFE Select) planes SHOULDN'T initiate out of level, but I suppose you could get it to do it if you really did something funky.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I checked and rechecked the elevator trim before the flight and it seemed fine. I had just replaced the elevator servo and even though I checked the trim and the servo carefully, it very well could have malfunctioned. Seemed to be working after the crash though. Safe was initiated on a level surface. Never had this happen before even though I've replaced many servos over the years. Thanks for the response.
Very cool plane. assuming Megan can fly, How about an aerotow set up? That would be an awesome video. Air tractors are used in Australia and the low level skills are amazing,
Cool idea! I just need to teach her to fly. This pane would look sweet as an aerotow. I have a KA8 I really want to get flying. Pure sail plane, and don't know it I want to put in a motor. Nice seeing you here Allen ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC I was thinking like a small foamy that will just about fly itself to start off, maybe put the auto leveller board in it from another plane to help out.
Yeah Allen. I had thought about doing BOTH controls from the same radio, with the second plane having SAFE in a Loiter Circle Pattern Like I've done on my Conscendo S....this would allow me to bind BOTH planes to the same Transmitter and then simply flip a switch the go between. If I ever get this working, I'll share it...as it would be pretty cool :)
love the video Brian. i just had fedex deliver the air tractor, ive been flying the twin otter and love it also, will there be much difference as far as handling the air tractor, ill keep it in safe for a few first flights
yes, the Tractor flies better. It's a very clean flying plane. The Twin Otter, while BEAUTIFUL, is a high wing loading plane, compared against the Air Tractor. You'll LOVE it. Irronically, my Twin Otter AND my Air Tractor both share a manufacturing flaw...the horizontal stab is bent...works perfectly on both, but an ugly detail I'd rather not see...I hope you don't have the same issue.
@@BrianPhillipsRC did you have any issues with wing removal on the air tractor,i wanted to remove the wind halves for transportation reasons and the screws are real tough to try to get out once put in, i was thinking going with hexhead 3mmx8mm in the future if i can somehow back the current ones out,i did a little test hop, that air tractor wants to jump into the sky
They seem to attack my under-elbows the worst, then when I drive my pickup truck for work, my elbow presses on that spot, and it's super-annoying!!! I could use bug spray but I just HATE that filmy stinky crap on my arms. When it's hot, I sweat most of it off anyway. We have a fogger, but that would mean I'll have to have the whole area fogged, while were filming. We DID cut all the hay around the house, on the front half of the property, so I bet it'll be a little bit better for a few weeks.
im a fairly good rc pilot but that plane with full landing flaps was a handful for me to stick the landings. tended to hop all over the place and go into a hard stall for me! without flaps landed perfect every time.
Hey Brian, Question for you, Would you recommend the air tractor as a first low wing airplane? Or would you recommend something else? I want to get to fly a spitfire in the future. Hanging around with the carbon cub s and so far so good didn t crash it yet🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻, but want to feel what is like to fly a low wing plane and get confident with it, Thank you You guys are AWESOOOOOOOOME
I would say the air tractor is a great plane. First low wing would be okay, if you like it. HOWEVER, this model doesn't like to settle down great on hard surfaces, so if you want to have better luck, get some pneumatic tires, and you'll be golden!!! P.S. We have a "second thoughts" video ready to publish April 13th at 10AM, if you're curious ;)
@Brian Phillips I bought it, did arrive today love it, yes I saw on your video it bounces a lot on hard surfaces , on the field at the club where I go to fly there is a nice soft grass, going try with the tires the plane came with, if it doesen t feel right I ve seen some sweet Du-bro on line. The building of the plane it was BANANAS,thank you for the building videos really helps,I was missing page 4 too : ) : ). those little tiny screws ........ Have a great day and can t wait for new vids. Peace
Brian, great video! I'm considering this Air Tractor as a 1st plane, I have drone experience only. Do you feel like if I ran this with a 3S it will work ok as a trainer. Wide open grassy acres for flying. I just really love these dusters and am leaning to getting this with a better transmitter as opposed the carbon cub rtf. Twice the money but worth it to me. When I finish Avery thing I noticed that my propeller it was not straight had to send it back.. waited for like 3 weeks for nothing at least I learn some new things
Nice video... What's your thoughts with replacing the stock wheels with those from the Turbo Timber? I agree the stock ones seem hard and not all that great for grass.
Not a bad idea! I want something pretty springy. I think maybe a pneumatic tire would be called for. This IS after all, 1.5m, so it could handle a foam filed dobro tire, and it would look cool too! Keep in mind, if you're flying from grass, you won't even notice this issue...we just happen to be flying from a concrete driveway.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I used the wheels from a timber on mine. I bought some du bro soft tires for it but they are really heavy so I stayed with timber tires. Im on my second Air Tractor and have had all the same issues you have had. The Flaps, the curved horizontal stabilizer the battery tray pulled out on mine. On my first one the prop was so far out of balance it shook the wings and couldnt even get it close to balance. The second one had some of the same issues. And the landing gear bend very easily. Other than that a great airplane.
Did you get the tail straight??? I noticed mine is pretty bad while I was having an AWESOME FLIGHT, but didn't film it (of course)...then when I taxied it in I was noticing this super UGLY tail feather ;(
keep up the good work Brian watched your review on this plane and i bought it and thx to your guide which i found very helpful she is looking smick as and ready to go :) love your chanell i basically watch your review on a plane always before buying. You ever thought about being a rc plane sales person for horizon? LOL they should pay u haah u sold that trojan the stang and this tractor to us for them :) anyways again thanks heaps for the vid was a great help :)
Mix some bifrenthrin with some water in a backpack sprayer and spray around the yard (or at least where you spend time outside at dusk) and you can cut down your mosquitos quite a bit.
Brian, why did HH not give a "crop dusting" option? I am thinking that one of those belt worn pressure sprayers which are personal cooling devices with a fine water mist being retrofitted on this bird to do some authentic "dusting"....Yeah man, that'd be sweet!!
Brian, I am SURE that you probably have a big exterior fan (like on wheels) don't you? If so, put some screen on the intake side and place an open Coke about 12" away from the intake, the mosquitos will go to the Coke due to the carbon dioxide and the fan will suck those mosquitos into the screen and keep them away from you. Before you turn the fan off with all those 'stuck' skeeters on it, spray some 409 or Fantastic or even isopropyl alcohol on them and that will take care of them! After you turn the fan off, just get a broom and sweep those deaders into the grass for the other "critters"... : )
You wouldn't need much as it comes out in a fine mist, even 4oz's would last for a few cool passes spraying with your cool sunsets behind it! AND, if you put a drop of dish detergent in the water, you would technically be helping to keep the bugs down as the soap cleans the wax off their wings!
@@BrianPhillipsRC are you looking for any more...lol i just bought a collection the other day and all are gas and would like to more about them. What are the ones you have? Ever think about a video on them would be awesome
I don't honestly even know what they are. They're high wing trainers. They are very likely NOT the same as yours. I don't want to lead you on, I have zero plans to work on them. I don't want the hassle and mess that comes with gas...now a Turbine - that's a different story ;)
Brian Phillips nice! I’d be curious to see a review or your thoughts on it. I’ve considered getting one myself. I might also contract it out with a company. Probably cheaper and easier to do myself if I can find the right spray. Hope it helps so you guys can enjoy the yard more!!
I still say you have my order sheet from HH,lol, have this one too.At least this one I got to maiden it when I got it 3 months ago(1 flight on it)Love this plane but I sure do have problems trying to slow it up for landings. On your CG marks, you need to measure straight back from leading edge, not around cord of wing, this is making your CG too far forward,at least that's the way we have been doing it here for 50 years, lol. Thanks for another great video,Rick from Delaware
I was concerned about this. I knew that following the curve of the wing might have an adverse impact on the correct spot, but I assumed that the "range" given was to help provide for these small differences. Thanks for the heads up! So, in the future, I need to have a measurement from the leading edge, then straight edge up, then straight back to the CG marks, in this case, moving the CG point BACK a bit.
When I watch your videos, I'm basically thinking "does this plane look cool? Does something about it in flight impress me?" But when you did the A-10 video, which is a very cool looking plane and a fast plane, you discouraged buyers when you said that you can't see what the plane looks like when it's flying far away from you. I thought that was a very good point. I'm curious what makes you like a plane, if how it looks isn't significant. I started with a Champ RTF, which was really fun for a couple flights but then I got bored. So I got a Carbon Cub S+ which was much more fun, mostly because it was so much bigger. If you screw up a Champ landing, so what? It's the size of a housefly and I don't really care what it does on landing. But I want my Carbon Cub to land properly, which takes a little doing.
Great! Sounds like you're getting my points ;) When I review a plane, I want to cover the features, of course, but ANYONE can do that. For whatever reason, people have come to expect my opinion to help guide their decisions to buy...and I can say this for certain...being I'm a total cheapskate, the small details make a big difference sometimes, and Horizon Hobby will not share any negative items the way I will (even though I work with them now...and also work with other suppliers too, if it weren't obvious). I try to pic out a few things that AREN'T perfect about a plane, so that you can get a REAL feel for the experience you will expect. This can help you to make a purchase decision between this plane and another...if you're like me, you can't buy 4 planes a month!!! You have to PICK what you REALLY want. I hope to bring this to the table as we review. Of course, we will still have fun doing it, and share the love of the "sort" and encourage the addiction. If more are involved, prices will get better and better and technology will advance faster, so I'm all about a more robust hobby. I want us all to enjoy it more and more every year. I also hope that with a larger group of RC pilots, we will have more pull with the BS government regulators who want to strip us of this wonderful freedom for absolutely mindless reasons. Thanks for the comment, and for being a part of this channel!
Like how you say how much throttle you are using. Seems like most flyers out here use full throttle or no throttle. I think they drive that way also. You can see the mosquitos flying by the lens. It sure wants to roll forever.
Brian - I'm helping a guy learn to fly his Air Tractor using the wireless trainer option. We have a DX9 set up as the Instructor radio and a DX6 as the student radio. A strange thing is happening that I've not had happen before with wireless training. We have rates and expo set up on the master radio. I did a test flight and set the trims as needed. Then I set the student radio to have all the same rates, expo and trim values as the master radio. He is the weird thing - even though the student radio has all the same values - the actual throws, expo and trim - turn out to be only about 1/2 of the master radio ! So I have to double the rates, expo and trim values on the student radio to get the same results that the master radio gets. Do you have any idea why this is happening ? We have been able to train okay - but its a hassle to adjust the student radio by doubling and and don't know what causes it or if there could be any potential problem.
I'm embarrassed to admit, but I haven't ever even used that feature, so I know I'm letting you down here, but I have no idea. As for the rates, could you make another model, then you wouldn't have to go back and forth? Like Air Tractor Trainer and Air Tractor Experienced - the one would have double rates and expo, while the other would be the half ??? sometimes it's easier to make a "work around" than to actual fit the firmware...as we have zero access to the latter.
Guys, as Mrzizzy69 suggested - MUCILAGE is IN STOCK at Hobbyking!!! It's been gone for YEARS - get it here, and it will support this channel... bit.ly/3emjOIR
We'll fix it in the future.
.. we're all human ....really enjoy your videos ...at 55 years old , it takes me back to my childhood and my first RC plane ...Kraft radio and servos etc ...thx to my dad ....thx again ...ps yes subscribed 👍

I was indeed lost for a while, but I really appreciate your addition and especially how it came about!
LOL - Confusion loves company - or something like that - LOL!
Thanks for such a detailed build and set up. Have had this plane for over a year and just decided to tear into it because I have been gun shy after wrecking thousands of $ in planes due to improper setup. You and the camera crew are the best!. Love the banter and inuendos!🤣
Thanks for being here! Glad we could help out!
Loved that you brought the cats in for a cameo! Also, just bought one of these, looks awesome!
Yeah, they're little primadonnas - even worse than me - LOL ;)
hello brian, I had my first flight a few days ago. It flies really well, no trimming was necessary. It was really good that I watched your videos before. To be on the safe side and from experience, I secured the tail unit with epoxy resin and longer screws on the landing gear. greetings from Germany
I've heard the tail can give issues, but I didn't that I can recall ;)
Geez , such a great plane and looks so easy to control , but then it is in the hands of one of the best RC pilots on RUclips
P.S. love the nose lights they just give it that little touch
I appreciate your kind words, thank you, but I'm hardly the best pilot on RUclips ;)
You watch him too cool :)
Yes Brian I just want to introduce myself my name is Jerry I watch your show all the time I just want to take time to tell you I think you and your wife are two of the coolest people and you two get along so good with each other I just want to wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you some cool air planes
Thanks Jerry! Glad you're here with us! Santa will definitely be bringing some planes ;)
OK. If you won't adopt me, can I come and play at your house?
Love the lights in the nose too.
LOL - very nice Chris!
Gorgeous in the evening and it looks like a lot of fun. I'll be getting one!
It sure is! Thanks for watching!
If someone only flew jets and wants a first sporty tail dragger, would this be the best choice? Or would you recommend the RV-7 over this one?
This plane and the RV7 are very different animals ;) Our video is coming soon for the RV7.
The RV7 is small and CRAZY.
The Air Tractor is Turbo Timber Light.
Can I give you the typical Brian Phillips answer - get both ;)
Air Tractor bit.ly/3tqdyHe
RV7 bit.ly/3DqNqSd
Brian, your camera crew is one of the best on u-tube! she does a great job and usually bails you out on builds. Keep up the good work you all make a great team.
Now a few questions?
3 planes of interest
1) eflite 1.5 mustang
2) eflite 2.1 ss cub
3) fms 1.7 Corsair
What’s your opinion on any of the 3 for intermediate flyers (ease of flying) any of them fly like the air tractor?
I'll do it like an unbox, build, and re-maiden (at the beginning) - Ask me in a week ;)
Flies and lands pretty easy.
Sorry you got the bend too!!! I still think she's a beauty, but almost unforgivable ;( As for the Concendo Evolution - it's AWESOME!!!
Every time I see this plane, I think of the film Planes. Great video 👍🏻
Cool! Are you in video production?
Brian Phillips well I make movies on my journey in RC and try to show problems and how I fixed them to help people and have a laugh. I think making videos helps my wellbeing hehe. But I like to watch channels like yours as well, almost a community 👍🏻
Chris
You lucky guy!!!!!!!
I Absolutely love mine. It’s like flying the Timber 1.5. Ok on to watch the build.
Yep - totally agree. We found the instructions online, but even they were crappy!
Are there actual plastic hinges on the control surfaces, or just the crappy foam hinges?
The videos show what I see. The flaps have plastic hardware, since they're fowler flaps....but the rest, I'm not sure. Embedded plastic hinges are nice, but usually only on the highest dollar planes.
Great video guys!
Thanks so much!
I agree with the elevator correction. It needs no elevator correction for flaps.
Cool
Very cool Brian, thank you both. Hey adding some smoke would push it over the top lol.
I want so badly to make a dripper and make smoke, possibly on the motor when it's hot???, but I don't want to catch the foam on fire....she's just too darn beautiful!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC That is true.
Very awesome flying and super nice Plane. Thanks for the Video’s
Thanks for watching!
Servo Signal Reverser amzn.to/3qgEqHF
Choice 3 - Get a different servo
Choice 4- cut the wing so the servo can "Face" the other way...thus changing the output direction.
How long would you say a 4s lasts on this plane on cruising wise, Because I was thinking about getting one for my birthday
Less flight time, since you'll use it up quicker ;) If you're disciplined, you could make it last longer, but most guys I know (and me) will just want to fly more crazy ;) Whatever the flight time was on 3S, you'll be about the same on 4S, with equivalent size.
Which do you like better the Commander or Tractor?
Commander is way better all around, but the Tractor is for scale looks, and it DOES also fly very good too.

Commander bit.ly/3OqIJw2
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank you!
Hi it can work with tx16s ? And safe mode Too ?
I don't have a tx16s but DSMX is supported in openTX as I understand it.
@@BrianPhillipsRC but safe mode work or not ?
Very nice... N I wanna to know the main motor used
Follow the link, then scroll down and you can see specs. Also we cover some of this in the build and radio setup
All in a days work. Have you considered just hitting it with chrome paint??? - Tons less weight!
You know the bugs were bad when I’m catching myself slapping my own ear, with ear buds in…..😂
LOL - Exactly!!!
Thanks
One Cool Item I have added on mine is a rotating beacon on top of the Cockpit. I had seen one on a full scale 502 Air Tractor My Brother in-law flies
Nice! Very cool!
You ought to do a video on your basement and model storage
Soon.
So in the end, did the 3s battery position wind up at your original 3200 4s mark, and the 4s at the new red mark?
yeah, but this plane does well somewhat indifferent to CG. It's not as critical is it is on other airplanes....pretty much, you just have to trim her level and go for it.
About time. Lol. Hope you enjoy the air tractor as much as I do !!
I love it! It's awesome!
Nice video thank you so much!
Glad you liked it!
What are the best low and high rates for this plane?
I go over my Expo setting in the radio setup on this and most all current videos. It's highly subjective if you ask me...so you can copy mine, but you might like more or less...
For better ground control after landing I got rid of the springs on the tail wheel and installed metal control rods. Z bend on one end (tail wheel control arm) and ball links on the rudder arm makes the ground control 100% better
I bet it would. It's a cool idea, but in real like, we kinda need a ridged linkage ;)
We were very fortunate to live a life mostly free of mosquitoes this year because it was so dry, but unfortunately, we had a very poor yield of hay on our second cutting due to this same dry weather ;( Oh well, win some and lose some ;)
Thanks for being here with us Todd!
Great video, try smidge for the mosquitos... works here in the uk
Thanks for the tip!
Beautiful
Totally!
Good to know Micheal, thanks I thought I could be on the right track as the field I fly on is like 3" grass. On a setup question for those in the know, what is your aileron throw? as well as elevator and flaps. I have it set up per the manual, which to me has it acting kinda lethargic.
Who's Michael?
@@BrianPhillipsRC one of the gentleman here that posted saying he uses turbo timber wheels.
The E-Flite clipped wing cub has the same tail wheel.so I did mine the same way as the cub and it workes fine.
Nice!!! Glad to hear. I want that plane too ;) Looks like a GREAT plane. Are the ailerons full length?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Yes. It can do really fast rolls.
Thanks for the great explanation! That makes perfect sense! Getting a lot out of your videos!
If the safe switch is off, does the plane become as3x only
Yes, that's correct.
Air Tractor needs to crop dust some deet on those skeets!
yeah! That would be SWEEEEET ;)
I need to check on that!!! Thanks Jerry!
What a janky tail wheel setup is right!!! lol Come on Horizon, where's your instructions for this whole step? Glad I wasn't the only one who was overly confused by this silly simple step.
Couple tips for others:
Those thick coarse screws for mounting the aluminum bracket were slightly too large go through the bracket freely without the screws binding up at strange angles, so I drilled those holes out slightly for some play.
Yes, all good points ;) I love this plane, with exception of the bend in my horizontal stab...this looks bad.
Nice plane its for spraying crops for sure!!!
for sure!
I had the same headache H.H. needs to label their screws took me 2 hours to build this plane!!!!
I usually have a real hard time putting these planes together when the instructions are poor, but I can say from the hundreds of planes I've put together, HH does the best job of all of them...but could still improve.
Hope you have a great experience with the plane in the air, it is a BEAUTY!!!
H.H. needs to label each different bag that contains screws so they can be Identified easier!.

Isn't there a way to put the lead connector on an empty channel, (ch6?), Then assign that channel to a switch (knob?), to turn the lights on/off? (In theory, to me it sounds like it.)
Thank YOU sir! 👍🏻
@@BrianPhillipsRC
WE used to do THAT for lights, winch controller, etc on crawlers! I obviously, had a brain fart & forgot all about those! Duh!!!! 😁
Guess we are! Cool, thanks!
Just hit a thermal with three huge birds! Had my heart pumping good and thought I was going to be attacked
I live off the beach, and when I fly at night, the birds go beserk. Not so much in the day time. It's some sort of sea bird colony, but they will try and attack my planes. It's almost like a dogfight or really a bird fight..lol. They've only touched it once...lol
SWEET! Was it with the Air Tractor?????
Justforkicks - I've only had a few GOOD dogfights with birds, but speaking of dogfights, my cats (the three kittens) were biting the tail feathers and rudder of my Night Timber X!!!! I was pissed to find the little, tinny, tiny holes all along the tail. They must just need something to clean their teeth????? Hope we can get this behavior modified soon. I have a lot of planes on the floor in the basement at the moment.
@@justforkicks6755 you have to get a cam on it!

I modified mine by installing a spreader bar on the main landing gear and replacing the tail wheel unit with a Klett assembly.
A great way to get rid of mosquitoes is to have a big shop fan blowing air on you. Mosquitoes can't fly in high winds. It would make it hard to record a video because of the noise but it works great for me ;)
The Air Tractors are crop dusting the fields around me this week.
My batteries had to be so far forward that the velcro makes it hard to slide into the plane.
where do you store all of your models you demo?
In my basement...it's getting CRAZY down there
Yea my twin otter has the same curve in it as well and goes straight when the elevator is fully deployed scratching my head on that one still. Is that a RX problem
Brian Phillips bring it on lol I use to farm so I’ll be watching and ok can’t wait!!! Happy flying!!!
Insect repellent spray or cream helps while flying to keep the mosquitoes away
Yeah, but I'm one of those unlucky dudes that will get 100 bites while everyone else at the bond fire gets 1...It's a blood chemistry thing. When Megan is getting attacked too, you know it's bad.
NOTHING LIKE LAST YEAR - Thank GOD!!! It was atrocious
I know this is an old video but why don't you guys use mosquito fogger or deep woods off
Laughing out loud at those adorable kittens. Best of luck to your curtains, drapes or screens. :)
LOL!!!
Do you have the timber turbo? The blue one?
I have the UMX only. The 1.5m Timber I have is the first version...non-Turbo ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC oh okay
This looks like it would fly like my Trojan t28? Is it similar flying? I like it!!
Sure, but maybe a bit more slow...
I have the same bug problem, which is why I wear a beekeeper's veil when I fly.
Holy Mosquitos,
I'm itchin from here.
No joke! We've been so much better off this year!!! Last year it stayed like this ALL summer, but this year's been so much better.
im a fairly good rc pilot but that plane with full landing flaps was a handful for me to stick the landings. tended to hop all over the place and go into a hard stall for me! without flaps landed perfect every time.
That's strange. Did you keep in the power?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Definitely stayed in the power
More power then ;) You could try decreasing the full flap deflection a bit too????
Hey Brian,
Question for you,
Would you recommend the air tractor as a first low wing airplane?
Or would you recommend something else?
I want to get to fly a spitfire in the future.
Hanging around with the carbon cub s and so far so good didn t crash it yet🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻,
but want to feel what is like to fly a low wing plane and get confident with it,
Thank you
You guys are AWESOOOOOOOOME
Haaaappyyyyy Eaaaasteeeeer here in UK almost gone the day already 🐣🐣
I would say the air tractor is a great plane. First low wing would be okay, if you like it. HOWEVER, this model doesn't like to settle down great on hard surfaces, so if you want to have better luck, get some pneumatic tires, and you'll be golden!!!
P.S. We have a "second thoughts" video ready to publish April 13th at 10AM, if you're curious ;)

@Brian Phillips I bought it, did arrive today love it, yes I saw on your video it bounces a lot on hard surfaces , on the field at the club where I go to fly there is a nice soft grass,
going try with the tires the plane came with, if it doesen t feel right I ve seen some sweet Du-bro on line.
The building of the plane it was BANANAS,thank you for the building videos really helps,I was missing page 4 too : ) : ).
those little tiny screws ........
Have a great day and can t wait for new vids.

If you think that's a terrible idea please let me know!
It's not an especially hard plane to fly, BUT you may want to stick with one of these as your FIRST plane...

Is she easy to fly? I have flown the Timber extensively.
Sure. The Timber is a better flying plane, but I like this one very much too!
Brian add a hopper and spray rig to this baby and go to war on those mosquitos!!!
I want to do it...
How did u install the takeoff flaps
They are installed at the factory.
You sound like me were I fly as soon as the sun starts to go down the mosquitos mount there attacks in Waves!!
We had a VERY good summer for mosquitoes this year, since it was super dry, but this was one of a few really bad days. I hate skeeters!!!!

Great to hear! Thanks for being here and helping to support our channel!!!
Mix some bifrenthrin with some water in a backpack sprayer and spray around the yard (or at least where you spend time outside at dusk) and you can cut down your mosquitos quite a bit.
This stuff works great but there are other brands that work well, too. www.domyown.com/talstar-professional-insecticide-p-97.html
Excellent - We got some that will mix about an ounce per gallon, and worked wonders. We got a generic too...and worked amazing.
Brian, why did HH not give a "crop dusting" option? I am thinking that one of those belt worn pressure sprayers which are personal cooling devices with a fine water mist being retrofitted on this bird to do some authentic "dusting"....Yeah man, that'd be sweet!!
Liability, obviously. There are a-holes that would load the hopper with Roundup and spray their neighbor's yards. :)
That would be pretty sweet, but gotta keep in mind the weight of water is such that you'd be hard pressed to get much capacity.
Jon - I wish some A-hole would spray my yard - LOL!!! Just don't want something like this to show up on my lawn - images.app.goo.gl/KfrzGMtd1cKaXick8
Great video brian . question though do you have any nitro planes? Or have any experience on them?
I have two gas planes, but almost no experience with them. They were my late Grandpas, and he left them for me.

It's in the garage, and I plan to run it at some point!
Brian Phillips nice! I’d be curious to see a review or your thoughts on it. I’ve considered getting one myself. I might also contract it out with a company. Probably cheaper and easier to do myself if I can find the right spray. Hope it helps so you guys can enjoy the yard more!!
I never put a correction for flaps on mine and it's fine.
I took it out 100%. I was amazed that Horizon Hobby recommended it. They usually don't lead us astray like that.

Remember "ECfnW"? LoL 😂
@@BrianPhillipsRC looking forward to updated flight
We'll do another soon, but not sure when.
I'm glad it's helpful Tim. I try to dictate what I'm doing, so that there's less questions, and I can't always remember what I was doing :)
Nice!
Thanks!
Next air buldozer will fly 😌
LOL
Brian - I'm helping a guy learn to fly his Air Tractor using the wireless trainer option.
We have a DX9 set up as the Instructor radio
and a DX6 as the student radio.
A strange thing is happening that I've not had happen before with wireless training.
We have rates and expo set up on the master radio.
I did a test flight and set the trims as needed.
Then I set the student radio to have all the same rates, expo and trim values
as the master radio.
He is the weird thing -
even though the student radio has all the same values -
the actual throws, expo and trim - turn out to be only about 1/2 of the master radio !
So I have to double the rates, expo and trim values on the student radio
to get the same results that the master radio gets.
Do you have any idea why this is happening ?
We have been able to train okay - but its a hassle to adjust the student radio by doubling and
and don't know what causes it or if there could be any potential problem.
Mucilage is in stock at HK today if you need some. I've been waiting 4ever
