- Will Rodman is a scientist in San Francisco who is experimenting with a drug that he hopes will cure his father's Alzheimer's disease. After his work is deemed a failure, Will becomes the guardian of Caesar, an infant chimp who was exposed in utero to Will's drug. Caesar displays unusual intelligence, and Will decides to continue his experiments secretly. But as Caesar's intellect and abilities grow, he comes to represent a threat to man's dominion over Earth.

Y’all are missing the end credit scene. The neighbor is infected with the 113 and he’s a pilot
A lot of these reactions don't familiarize themselves with the 1968 movie so they don't get the full appreciation and then miss the end credits as well 😬
and think about all the international travelers, that will visit zoos or go on a safari tour and all the apes catching the 113 everywhere. captive AND wild populations.
Yeah that scene should be in the movie and not after the credits imo, seems like lots of people are missing it.

@@carladavis1473 Didn't marvel bring back the credits stuff? I know bloopers in other movies or Jackie Chan fails people used to enjoy seeing behind the scenes. Marvel put in a bit more story so people would stay for the credits.. Way way back in the day some credits seemed to be at the start of the movies.

39:24 I remember this fight between Caesar and Malfoy the first time. The entire audience in the theater went on cheering in the 2011 release. But when the moment Caesar said "NO!", everyone was in shocked and went dead silent in a brief seconds. What an amazing moment!
I remember watch that scene & it definitely left me speechless. Like, we've all seen apes/chimps talk in movies before but that scene blew my ass away. Such a great movie.

So pretty much like if a person that had never lived in the wild was suddenly told to live on his own would probably die. Plus chimps are very selective and territorial about allowing other chimps to become welcome into their group..

Caeser is played by the brilliant British Actor and motion caputure artist Andy Serkis. He also played Gholum in Lord of the Rings, King Kong and another character in that movie, Captain Haddock in Tin Tin and motion capture for Jungle Book, plus many others.
He's a brilliant director and very nice and polite man. He owns a massive motion capute studio near where I live in London and it's amazing inside 😁🇬🇧

I love all 3 movies. Each 1 has it's own plot but sticks to the story started from the 1st movie. And yes, the trilogy is criminally underappreciated & underrated.

Some of the lines in the movie , such as "it´s a mad house" are from the first and original movie Planet of the Apes (1968), where everything began. You should have watched it first. But you can add it to your next reactions.

Andy Serkis is a phenomenal as Caesar through acting and motion capture performances! I highly recommend you two to do a reaction videos on Dawn and War next. I’m so fired up for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits, hes a way better leader then most human leaders today. Hope u react to the other two.Caesar only bit the finger, it was still attached so that mean neighbour was lucky.
Notice after all hes been through, Caesar has no first instinct or intention to kill humans or hurt people, just to free his apes. He never even killed the nasty Draco, he killed himself out of stupidity. Also the apes didnt kill any innocents, they just trashed a few offices and scared people tbf. You can see how heartbroken Caesar was to reject his human dad after he turned his back, its clear how hard it was for him & he continued using his window as his symbol on street signs afte r escaping. I always root for the apes, animals are true to their nature, & we betray ours.
Also, Caesar can be infected again, so he also get even smarter when inhaling the 1.13 virus too, plus Caesar is way more intelligent since he had a proper human childhood education from Will.
what i like about this movie is directors made it as realistic as possible
even scene in which Cesar bit neighbors finger is realistic
chimps quick measure which body parts looks like they are important (eyes, nose, ears, fingers) and took them away from you if they want to punish you
Did y'all watch the end credit scene? I'd figure gen z would be used to scrolling through credits to see if movies have them now thanks to marvel doing it for the last decade

12:32 dude, your can't just have wild animals b your home. They would be a danger to society and a danger to the animal. You can't just have tigers, lions, alligators and apes as pets in a domestic environment. They probably have a homeowners association in that neighborhood too.

This is also One of the main reasons they cant go back out on the wild. They went know how to survive out there. This is why is hurting them to have them as pets.

It’s much easier to observe the effects on a living body, rather than tissue samples. You do get clinical trials, the ones where people get paid, but that’s further down the line.
I don’t know if this is even done anymore, seems like too much hassle.

well since you have watched Rise OTPOTA 2011 by now, then you should watch the 1968 before watching part 2 (Dawn OTPOTA) and 3 (War OTPOTA), else you will not remember all the references that is in Rise OTPOTA 2011 from the 1968 original, where you will appreciate the 2011 even more

@liltunchi2115 talking is fine, but talking over the dialog is annoying. That's when reactors begin to miss things or don't understand what's happening because they are talking too much. Other reactors have had this problem.
