This pen is constructed like a tank and its cartridge is a champion. I've put mine through hell and it still works fine. Cartridge has been running for around a year with heavy daily use.
That “useless hex” at the top of the pen isn’t just to look cool - it lines up with the grip at the bottom and keeps the pen from rolling away in strong winds, rough seas, slanted desks, etc.
Yeah me too. I first bought a rotring 600....but the barrel was too skinny....then bought the rapid pro...bit better. I'm thinking I'll like the 1/2 inch barrel on this 😎
Just heard about this after hacking a Zebra F-701 to fit the Fisher refill. The Zebra is steel & the knurling is great. It’s knurling is round and I’m a little skeptical of the bulky hex on the Clutch. I’m a low key pen nerd so I might try one.
How long is this pen made? Because I have rebranded Fisher pen pretty similar to this, which I inherited from my grandfather who worked for roadbuilding company. They used as theyr company pens Fisher pens, rebranded with logo of that particular company. Coolest promo pens ever.
I think it's pretty recent, 2017 from best I can tell. Your's looks similar? It's crazy because Fisher has this amazing history but nothing on their website about it. Maybe email them? They super nice and helpful people.
Yes, I must say that the pen looks a bit awkward to write with for long periods of time. It's too bad that you had to pay for that pen. I have seen other videos of other items made by other manufacturers tested and they gave their opinion of a product by regular people and they received the item for free. Maybe you should request it from Fisher. Oh well, just one question you didn't mention, Is the product made in the U.S.A. or just assembled here. ....... thanks for your time and effort for for posting and be safe.
Never knew this existed but I already have enough Spacepens... or do I... I'll resist unless I ever see this on sale. Looks a bit like the Zebra X-701 only less fussy.
You can get blue fisher ink refills. But if your buying a fisher pen, why would you want a normal ink cartridge? If for aesthetics there are so many tactical style pens that look just as cool without the fisher technology.

The pen was designed to work on oil rigs. So probably for taking notes as opposed to writing an essay.

Sounds good for a tough EDC pen but since it doesn't come apart hardly at all I guess there are no other refill alternatives?
