- Striking Kellogg's workers are defiant. "We're not willing to sell our souls." Cereal production has plummeted. Kellogg's is having to rely on products made in Mexico and Canada. The company now admits there is a "temporary shortage" of its brands. The strike is working.

Hoping that these striking workers can get their demands met. It's good to see things turning kind of in their favor.
👎 I have been boycotting Kellogg’s since they went ‘Woke’ The Kellogg Foundation bankrolls $500 monthly income for illegal aliens. Shame on them.
Hold the line guys. Kellogg’s can’t hold out much longer. Once this cuts into quarterly profits you’ll have shareholders on your side telling them to strike a deal and get back to making them money!
You should note how they are PROFITABLE even when paying good union wages.
The problem with corporate greed is the fact profitability is never enough for the investors. Corporations have to make record breaking profits infinitely and the only way that happens is when they do mass layoffs, low wages, and union busting.

Worker: What?! We made three times to GDP of CHINA last month!
Investors: yes but you didn't make six times Chinas GDP this month
Some workers at my university had organized a picket. My uni sent us this crazy ass email basically saying we shouldn't go near them and don't talk to them or take their fliers. The email made it seem like the workers were rabid dogs. Of course, now I know more about unions. Solidarity.
Which university in Michigan?
We see who the enemy is - it's not each other, it's the ones on top trying to divide and conquer us. Stay strong, we're with you! 💪
Boycott Kellogg's!!! ZERO KELLOGG PRODUCTS IN MY HOUSE!!! BILLIONAIRES NEED US MORE THAN WE NEED THEM! STAY STRONG WORKERS!!! 💪😘
ABSOLUTELY!
Gotta boycott alot of companies. Strength in numbers

@Crz-97 Sugar sugar sugar and artificial ingredients.... are killing most of America anyway.
But everyone deserves decent wages and benefits that support a family for an honest days work. I'm sick and tired of CEOs selling their souls for ridiculous salaries and stock options whose job is to brutalize their workers... and a government that doesn't give a damn about it's own citizens.
Frankly the whole country should go on strike.
Im sure management encouraged the theft of the strikers belongings in the lockers. Such scum bags why i hate coporations
Ultimately, solidarity & community is what keeps the human spirit strong.
Keep the Faith.
Glad to see the workers making some progress
This channel deserves so much more!
Thank you guys for fighting. We need unions back in USA. It's our only chance really
yep even with out union us manufactures are feeling the pain. Many do not want work in factory because of unfair working conditions.
Not buying Kellogg's products until these folks get a good contract.
Congrats to the Kellogg's strikers for winning after showing such solidarity to their fellow workers. More power to them.
I will not buy any Kellogg products during this action, unless it's from a Union plant (Thanks for the lookout!)
Solidarity Now!
Keep the faith and know we support you. You have more honor than any of the corporate class honchos. Note that I donated to your fund through the website.
What website, can you direct me so I can donate?
Exactly like what Walmart did. Made tons of money being the few open markets during covid shutdown. Workers being essential. Forced to work risking catching covid from customers. On a 6 point system. Fired for 6 absences. Then cut lots positions so long time workers are forced out. Hire part time workers to save money on benefits. Then Union support isn't allowed.
i've heard you can't even utter the word 'union' in a walmart store
Activity for the algorithm.
It's great to hear that this union has a fighting spirit and is willing for the long battle to make this greedy company pay its workers fairly.
I am confused: How are well-compensated workers bad for business? To pay above-market wages leads to less turnover, no? Less turnover leads to lower hiring costs (i.e. background checks). Retaining experienced employees increases efficiency, which means more products reach more shelves.
Is anything I wrote incorrect? I am a willing listener.
To pay above-market wages means H.R. can be more selective about the people hired because a lot of people will want to apply.
They already receive wages that are well above market wages. And they were offered everything they asked for. Now they’re asking for more. They’re just biting the hand that feeds them at this point.
@@jamingoette9062 I defer on this one because I don't have any experience with unions.
@@jamingoette9062 then you obviously worked with a shitty Union. That’s completely your own fault...now go work for less at a kiddy job and let the adults work the real jobs!
@@frankmeloy4457 do you sign their checks to know what they make? They want it clear across the board for all. They want benefits that will be better for them in the long run why? Because American want the pharmaceutical companies to keep over charging us to put money in officialdom pockets. Universal Healthcare should be a thing especially in the U.S.
I wish that we could do the same with Walmart.
You should do it, Rally the guys, It's the perfect time to to it, if they fire you everyone else is hiring
Hold the line Kellogg workers! Your strike is our strike! Victory will be yours!
THE GREED IS UNBELIEVABLE!
Solidarity forever!
For the unions make is strong!
Someone please list all the Hellogg's products we shouldn't be buying anymore!
Any cereal with the K Kellogg's logo on it. I don't have Kellogg's anyway because most of their cereals are full of sugar. Only Corn Flakes and Special K are not sugary and you can get cereals like them from someone else.
TRUE AMERICANS STANDING TOGETHER
THANK YOU GOD
Awwww yeaaaaahhhH! Keep it up! ✊✊✊
This is why all corporations must be co-ops. If not it’ll always be an inherently exploitative system. Workers give 75% of their earnings to their bosses for the simple pleasure of bossing them around.
I was at the local pub, this afternoon, and I mentioned that I couldn't find a box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes anywhere in town. No one seemed to know why. I get home and RUclips has the answer for me. Are they listening in or something?? This is kinda weird.
If you had your phone on you, I wouldn’t doubt it. Don’t know how many phone calls I been on & I mention anything that can be purchased and I will see ads for it immediately after wherever I go on the net, that’s creepy to me.
Power in numbers. Y’all hang tight.
Remember United you bargain divided you beg the fight never ends stay strong.
THANK YOU GUYS. KEEP BRINGING US THE INFO WE NEED TO KNOW... AND i WILL TELL YA'LLL (FROM A DUDE WHO WORKED IN CORPORATE US): IF A COMPANY IS TELLING YOU HOW GREAT YOU ARE AND NOT PAYING YOU, THEN YOU ARE BEING HUSTLED. THIS IS A PURPOSEFUL STRATEGY TO KEEP WAGES LOW AND PROFITS HIGH
This is the best RUclips video I’ve ever seen
God the union workers at Kellogg's !! we love you guys !!
Local 2184 aerospace and machinists workers Union Lansing Mi
UNION STRONG !!
I am so happy to see workers coming together like this. And shame on the people crossing the picket line, that IS UNAMERICAN!!
I was a trucker union and had to work non union in between jobs from 1977-2001 never did I cross a picket line hoping it works but the way it works now new employees never will have what you have. A RED CIRCLE
A fair amount of blame for this also galls on their union representation. If their elected union reps stood up and fought for them this may have not gotten this bad. This 2 tier thing sounds like they want an apprenticeship. Always 2 sides to every story and as 25yr union member I’m well aware of what unions are, they’re main goal is always self preservation. If these members aren’t holding their leaders feet to the fire as a whole this will continue to happen
BOYCOTT KELLOGS>>>EFF TONY TIGER
Kellogg will learn the value of their employees
Power to the People.
Inspiring!
Other unions should contribute to the strikers to allow them to continue, crush Kelloggs Corp force them to grovel
Yes like a go fund me page or similar every there's a strike
IAM here. what happens to you all happens to us. hold the line. we're with you.
We support all employees on strike we understand is a business but a fair share is something that must corp. Should remember is moral is beneficial for all.... Corporations should not copy from Amazon and tried to be like the greedy Jeff Besos...
Total legend
Employees should start their own company producing cereal where everyone makes the same look.to Mondragon in northern Spain as a model everyone has an equal say in the company
These companies don't like unions there is strength in our numbers.
That moving truck to Mexico is warming up
I wont buy food from other countries for a few reasons I'm glad I clicked on this
Nope that's right . Any good American should not cross a picket line .! Very well said .
Can Perfect Union show more of the management side of the equation?
Two sides of every story.
Note: In the business world of transparency, are the offers made to the union publicly available to assist in understanding what the union is rejecting (if company confidential that's fine, simply no way to comment constructively without the knowledge/details).
Facts. They lost me when they said they are making almost 30 an hour. The second teir workers have to put in the time to get to that level.
Wonder if they shop at union stores
Kellogg isn't as smart as they think they are. They are nothing without the workers. You can't fix stupid or greedy.

I don't completely understand everything that's going on but whatever you're trying to do to the people that work there good for you and I stand behind you because I'm from Ohio.. and I stand for the little people that are getting mistreated these corporations don't give a s......... about you and the reason they don't is because they figure that you are replaceable.. one thing I really am against is working somebody 7 days a week that's just ridiculous. People have lives and people have children doctor's appointments and other things that are important to keep you healthy enough to work for you greedy idiots
Do Not Cross The Picket Line because it will come back to haunt you!
Missing my cereal but keep up
I hope we can do the same in the Kansas City Kansas plant I'm with the snacks department and they are treating us so bad each week I pay is taken from us we're not getting paid like we should but being forced to work hours do we have to volunteer so we don't have to give forced on it everyday basis
is your plant makin' y'all work 80+ hours too??
We quit buying Kellogg’s for years now!
Hold out guys. There's a thin line between worker and slavery
I prefer Cheerios. But I will not be purchasing any Kellogg's brand cereal
I just thought I'd let you know Cheerios has weed killer in it please read your ingredients.. leave me my favorite Cheerios was the very berries..(Not any more) I prefer steel oats cooked on the stove takes about a minute or. 2. And it's better 4 u ..
* believe me I meant
So what does BCTGM stand for?
Not all Kellooggs plants are Union
Our place it’s not a Union we pay our own insurance, and we work hard just like they do, we don’t complain because nothing will be done regardless,
It’s a big corporation, and when they say they will send there jobs to Mexico they mean they will send that product to Mexico
They have a plant in Mexico that makes cereal already, so it’s not going to hurt the company on any way,
I try not to complain it’s not easy being there on weekends
And working 12 hours but
I had pay off 3 houses
My kids have never been hungry
And we have always have a car and heat at our house,
I understand that it’s frustrating
And that people are tired of working
24/7
Maybe the agreement should be to have a rotation in place
Maybe they should work 12 hours 3 days on 3 days off
That’s my opinion.
@Maintenance Man I agree with you 100%
That’s not even a question!!!!!
And to top it all off, because they got a raise Kellooggs it’s going to get there money back by F… 🤬🤬🤬🤬
The none Union plant like ours they are going to either take our very small bonus check, reduce our 401K
Contributions or never get a raise ever
And our raise it’s only 23 cents anyways
They should be ashamed of themselves
To be doing all of this!!!!!
If I didn’t have such a short time to retire I would definitely would quit, but I am almost done so I deal with it.
Plus I work first shift.
I was the president/ truck driver of our union but only had 25 drivers at company have a great fight going company would give out a bonus as a voucher for you and wife 80% would take it and not BACK the union
Garbage in! Garbage out
Have they got unionized yet
Hey KELLOGS! When a great percentage of employees must work 6 or 7 days a week you're doing something wrong. High taxes, everything costing 25 or 30% more DOESN'T MEAN employees deserve low wages to keep cost down. How much have you increased your product cost? Your wages? DON'T SULLY YOUR OWN NAME.
If we the people stop buying they will go out of business in a week just try it for a couple of weeks and you will see the turn around that this company will get
People don’t understand if the company is gonna pay higher taxes they gonna cut ur hours or your pay and the Average worker wants ceo pay if so when that company goes out of Business are they gonna pay off the debt that company has?
Good, after hearing all this, I'm done with Kellog
Would like to seriously like to know what u make as an hourly wage. Bet its much more than me.
it's definitely cheaper to open facility in any south of the border, mexico colombia, honduras, venezuela, haiti, belize.....
Kelloggs use to be the American Cereal Company, not Mexican.
Well I found a different brand of cereal that I buy that I actually liked better than Kellogg's anyways
Wait, you guys are making almost 30 an hour?🤔
I only eat instant oats for breakfast. The one with the old white guy on it.
Stand your ground and show them billionaires that billions of profit for them means profit for the workers.
I just read as I'm watching the video that they want to fire 1,400 workers 4 striking???? Is this illegal for them to do this or are you protected while you're striking????? Laws ?
No it’s not illegal they can do that
seriously important for now and future...jeff besos...elon musk and bill gates......these are extremely dangerous human beings
Why do I cringe whenever I hear someone say solidarity?
Who did the union support during the last presidential election...
Neoliberalism has been the ruling philosophy since the Reagan revolution. It dictates that unions should not impede what the market is willing to pay for a worker. This is the supply side philosophy. This is the washington consensus. The politicans are ok with that.
,.
They should not have allowed “transitionals” to begin with.
Could we work on the ingredients please
We don't want Kellogg's in U.S. Have enough socialist companies.
I never felt that unions were beneficial to their employees.
30 years in the Teamsters, I'd have to disagree.
Why? Have you ever been part of a union?
They are. In fact, their presence even raises the wages of nonunion workers around the country. When Reagan started union-busting, those low-wage, "crap" jobs soon followed. And have persisted until things started to change recently. There was upskilling at workers' expense and downwaging. Reagan was responsible for the majority of the adverse circumstances for workers in the last 40 years. He also introduced stock buy-backs, which is where some of the money that should have been paid out in wages goes and which incentivizes those in the C-suite to keep doing it because they get more money. When you buy back stock, it raises the stock's price. Part of their compensation is stock options. That increase goes to the people in the C-suite. It's time for a change in wages and the way workers are treated. I think this strike has contributed toward changing workers' circumstances for the better and it's about time. Great wishes to all of you.
