It really should be closer to 50. I would say 100%, but if a parent has to quit their job to ensure the kid gets where they're supposed to go, it does get murky. But only 15 is insane.
That absolutely needs to be amended somehow, that’s insane that the parents are able to live off their child’s hard work forever but the child has to keep working as long as possible because they were given the smallest piece of the pie. Especially since they gave up their one chance at a normal childhood for that tiny sliver of profit. I completely get why so many child stars end up having bad relationships when their parents, it’s so clear how easily that tension can begin and snowball into something much worse. I don’t understand how jojo hasn’t realized yet how much her mom sucks.
I mean, I remember how hard it was taking the kids to ballet and taekwondo when they were little- lol we were practically always late or had forgotten something, so I can see how being a "momager" would be hard work, lol I would've been fired by my own kid in the first week!! So when the kid is little it's basically the parents running around doing everything...but I guess at that stage it's more the parent's dream than the child's anyway....but if it goes on and on?? Then it affects the whole family, everybody's lifestyles and schedules, so sharing the cash seems fair- I mean, nobody is "selfmade", not really, Jojo's career got started cos of her mom- and having a danceteacher mom when you want to be in the industry sounds like SUCH a bonus...and if she's a millionaire she couldn't leave her family poor or homeless, that doesn't sound fair either, a rising tide lifts all the boats afterall, you SHOULD help your family, right?? But how much and for how long?? Forever??! Is it just a moral obligation or a legal one?? How do you support your kid without business getting in the way, how do you be a cutthroat business person and yet still be able to stay professional with your own kid?? Lol sorry, I'm just rambling now, I forget whatever point I had....which is probably why I'll never be Kris Kardashian- phew!!😂😂😂 cos yeah, I'm fine with the idea of pimping myself out- but my KIDS??! No no, that's beyond gross- you're supposed to protect your kid from predators, not serve them up on a platter!! When you start looking at your kid as a paycheck- yeah that's gonna be a problem....gigglesnort for the first time ever I'm actually on the A.I/computing side- cos they literally have de-aging CGI tech now!! Childstars should be a thing of the past, obsolete by now, it rarely works out well...lol okay, thanks for letting me get all my thinks out, sorry for all the rambling😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤔🤷♀️
The parent's choice to turn their child into their career is voluntary, so their compensation shouldn't be larger than the child's, the one who actually does the work.
SO many creators have made vids about Jojo, but yours stands out bc you actually dig deep and don't just regurgitate what everyone else has already said. Your information is interesting, thorough, well explained, and you have a lovely voice. You'd be a really good school teacher!
Everyone else hating on her but they failed to see that she's a product of her mom's delusion of grandeur. Imagine if your parents make you work to bring food on the table since you're 2 years old
Or rebrand to something that wasn’t so ridiculous and cringe. A black sparkly outfit and black sparkly face paint and sticking your tongue out - I’m not sure what she’s trying to portray. A Kiss groupie?
Her problem is she didn't do it fast enough. She wanted to do a Miley Cyrus, however Miley just did it. She didn't do a press tour weeks in advance hyping it up. Especially when the end result is "take everything I used to be and turn the saturation way down. Don't change a single thing else".
You're right, without mentioning other stuff no many people mentioned: -She didn't do a research to understand how a rebrand works, if she had done that, she would have learned with cases such as Miley Cyrus, since Miley's change wasn't so critiquized because it went smoothly, you can tell she isn't faking it, that's how she really was and is. With this, Jojo would have avoided doing what you mentioned(rebranding herself fast and very cringe). -There were more ways to rebrand herself, like letting her hair loose, changing the themes of her songs to more mature yet not sexualized themes and maybe changing her theme colour to a different colour other than black,, since this rebrand didn't just fail because it happened all of a sudden(and not smoothly as it happened with Miley Cyrus), but also because the "good girl grows into a wild woman" trope is overused, without mentioning that this "bad girl" brand just doesn't suit her, there were other ways.
The side ponytail probably damaged her hair, it will happen to anyone if you put it in a style that puts tension on the roots for too long, the tightter it is the more damage can be done. For example I saw a woman on a reality show (maybe Botched? TLC?) who wore cornrows for years without enough of a break and she developed bald patches near her temples. I think that woman got a hair transplant or it grew back on its own.
It's called traction alopecia and I wouldn't be surprised if that is part of her issue. But skin problems and the excessive bleaching didn't help either and given the way she describes her behaviors around that "rash" it sounds like she might also have (or might have had?) some trichotillomania. Can you imagine the stress and anxiety she's dealt with over the years? I can absolutely see that as a self-soothing behavior. I feel bad for child Jo Jo but she really, really needs some therapy and some space from her mom.
@@allih8021 i wouldn't be surprised if its a mix of traction alopecia, bleaching chemicals and stress responses, whether thats rash or compulsory picking/pulling.
You're right, but it isn't just the fact that Miley is actually very talented, it's also the fact that unlike Jojo, her change went smoothly, you were able to tell she wasn't forcing it, because that's how she really was and is, sure, she faced negative criticism, but at least it wasn't a sudden and cringe change, because it wasn't like she was Hannah Montana one day and sitting on a wrecking ball the next day.
Are you kidding!!? Have you not heard karma!!? I mean its a gay pop masterpiece! Like if your smart, you understand that her delivery of karma is gonna go down in history as a prototype of synthetic beats, auto tune, costumes, topic of the day lgbtq importance, and goof ball dance moves that create a salad of OMG cringe moment that will never ever die ... the reasons it's historic is because she actually tried to do what she set out to do, while having zero clue that she was making comedy gold ... she is forever gonna be that person who really was a clueless holkyweird star that can shine a light on how not to move forward and "transition" from chikd to adult star ... Britney cut off her hair and went nuts... Miley is a cyress so there is that , and thr rest just had some sort of nut job transition... like she needed to go down the rabbit hole of disaster ... all she did was put on a black costume ... she is nuts! Maybe the gay crowd will accept and take her on ... I don't even believe that! Bet she loves 🍆
One thing i really do appreciate about her is that she has given a very insightful window into child stardom. She has been very subtly honest in a lot of ways that you picked apart very nicely. I feel for her. Shes such a product that she can't even realize that she failed to escape the pipeline.
I'm worn out by all of the Jojo videos BUT I saw it was Scandy and scrolled back up, and I'm glad I did! I appreciate the fresh perspective and the way you discussed this. Keep up the good work!
@@ParentalDiscretionIsAdvised I think it was that their family created their own production company. So, all the direct-to-vhs movies, like the detectives and sleepover parties, were produced by their family. Dualstar. The twins own it.
They also diversified very early on creating multiple clothing lines at different price points, perfumes, and videos by their own production company. So they made the bulk of their money by the time they were hitting adulthood. So, they weren't really dependent upon staying relevant as adults.
@@ParentalDiscretionIsAdvisedThere was the production company side of it as mentioned by others here, but also... Yeah, they want to be irrelevant. They enjoy their lifestyle but never really wanted to be actors. They took their fortune and hid, and I don't blame them one bit.
honestly, I ro ‘t think JoJo even knows who she is. I find some (some not all) of the healthiest child stars, stopped acting, went to normal high school or college for a bit, and then IF they still wanted it, came back into the performer space. JoJo is still forming her frontal lobe and hasn’t really stepped away from the camera to figure out who she is.
she’s going through personality phases like almost any person does {once again not all, but a good amount}. the issue is it being broadcasted to the extent it is. sometimes we have to go through trial and error to find ourselves, and sometimes those trials shouldn’t always been shared.
@@unclebug35this isn't a personality shift like a normal teenager she wasn't 16 when this all happened this was a rebrand she was excited and planned for years which is the problem. It's not authentic to who she actually is she's still just performing without any real personality it's forced and fake
I'm not super invested in this drama either way, but the thing that I find off-putting about JoJo's rebrand is that, rather than seeming authentic, she comes off as the kid sister who copies her older sibling as a way to 'seem cool.' The difference between hers and Miley Cyrus's adult transition is that it felt like Miley was "just being Miley," while JoJo is "just being Miley."
Can you BELIEVE how badly the media treated Britney. Shame on them! She was so young and women should be supporting other women Lmao this girl who was forced into show business against her will when she was two is such an arrogant loser. I’m gonna make a meme of her having a breakdown cuz the whole internet’s making fun of her lol 🤪
@@ContentMadame Same, a lot of ppl are hating on her now, especially after the dance moms reunion bcs she wouldn't stop inserting herself and telling others what to feel..but I understand bcs she's literally grown up being told and believing the world revolves around her. I don't think she's capable of empathy in a grounded and typical way, I don't think she is able to even conceptualise that others' experiences are different and that ppl don't respond the same to those different experiences
JoJo’s problem isn’t just lack of authenticity, it’s lack of talent, direction, individuality, originality and artistry mixed in with a whole lot of ignorance and arrogance.

Oh my. Remember when you were at that age when you thought you were discovering or doing stuff for the first time ever. This is like youngling me finding the quote "When you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you." thinking it was amazing and quoting it in all my writing then finding out literally everyone not only knew but was so sick to death of that quote they wanted to jump into the abyss. 😁
If I was in her position my first act as an independent person would have been fire my mother, get a psychiatrist you know just to know how bad an 18 years of mental abuse affected me and I guess then peruse my dreams finally it having an entire family to maintain on my shoulders. Her father quitting his apparently successful job and making his daughter work to maintain the entire family instead of saving as much money he could for her best interests is just criminal. He couldn’t know if she will even want to keep in this business once grew up, perhaps she wanted to go to college which I heard that in USA is not public and generate students debts. Makes me appreciate my family more, my father wouldn’t have taken a cent from me even he needed it and I was glad to offer. Some people seem to have kids just to exploit them for money the sibling that are not successful and don’t generate income receive just the minimum attention not because the parents don’t have time but because they just could care less about a child that can’t be put to work before they even learn how to speak.
I think half the problem is that she already had a lot of people against her, because of some of the awful people she still chooses to associate with. So regardless of however she chose to rebrand, a lot if people were going to mock her
26:23…. Just a thought … I truly believe this big “change” is still very much so manufactured … and when she does finally rebel against her mother / those who control/ sponge off her…. It’ll be an absolute car crash!!
If she had stripped off the persona (maybe no make up and extremely normal clothes) and sang an accustitic version of karma, people would have said that the switch was dramatic. She is just doing the same thing.

I came across and watched Alyson Stoner RUclips channel after her voice acting on The Legend of Korra. And when her Dear Hollywood series came out, You can tell she struggled and had a lot of therapy to be able to break everything down the way she did.
That might won't happen sooner or later but maybe when she turned late 20s ofc. I've seen many narcissistic victim survivors realizing their parents are in fact abusive so the only way to save yourself is... Cut ties away from them. I'm also the same victim as Jojo but I woke up from reality and I accepted that my mother is abusive and 100% she won't change. Not many people are going to be like me who is fully aware of their situation, it will take years until you stop hoping that your parents or family won't changed no matter how many times you're going to argue with them. SA and narcissistic abuse are highly same both as bad, except the other is not visible. (I don't think Dance Mom's are invisible, so that show can count as full trigger warning of narcissistic, emotional abuse and SA thrown with children wearing inappropriate and being forced to be adults on-screen)
4:04 don't forget having her hair dyed blonde since she was like 2 years old has to have permanently damaged not just her hair and scalp but who knows what else if she kept smelling the chemical fumes from the hair dye
She wasn’t interesting for an adults when she was a rainbow unicorn and her merch and image was directed to kids and Nickelodeon. She is not Xtina in her dirrrty era. She feels fake to play an adult games and not understanding how adulthood works.
Ugh that is so sad that she had to support her family. And that her family was so manipulative about it. That’s definitely not normal or healthy to feel the burden of keeping your family afloat at such a young age. I feel that Jojo is very detached from reality. She was never able to live a normal life. So even though her new music video sucks and she has been problematic, I just feel bad for her
One of the things that bugs me about her rebrand is that she's saying that shes "a bad girl" that has "done bad things", but it only seems to boil down to LGBTQ+ = naughty. It's 2024, being a relationship with another woman isn't "bad", it's just a relationship. Her parents are the bad ones, they've leeched off her in every possible way. The abuse against the XOMG kids was inevitable with parents and teachers like hers, she doesn't know anything else, and that's sad. She's now traumatised a bunch of new kids and repeated the cycle. The other thing that got me was reading that in the contracts signed by the parents of XOMG members, they're allegedly supposed to give JoJo/Jessalyn a percentage of their lifetime earnings. They get to sit there and cash in on those kids, even on future projects that aren't even related to XOMG. After the parents allege that they were taking 100% of the earnings from concerts and merch, and not paying the kids properly for the rest of their work as well. One of the girls (who has spina bifida) and her mother were sleeping on air matresses on the floor of a friend's dance studio, because they couldn't afford housing... So much for JoJo helping anyone in need. They told her to put a maxi pad on while she was bleeding out of her bellybutton, because they didn't want the blood to ruin the costume, and they still demanded that she perform. That had to be a lot of blood to warrant a pad and not a bandaid. They also threatened to fire her from the group unless she went back to work three weeks after a spinal surgery. It's so mindblowingly callous and cruel.
Announcing a rebrand was probably the first mistake. Litteraly spelling out that youre going from a child star to an adult as opposed to just doing it was insanely delusional. Nobody likes fake people
This video doesn’t even mention that Siwa was never even big or famous enough in the first place with her original brand to begin with to ever even warrant a rebrand. She was really only ever liked among kids. When your whole fanbase is children, that fanbase is inevitably going to out grow. And now she wants an older fanbase but she’s been known as the kidfluencer for so long that those older fans don’t care, those older fans will probably be annoyed by you. In the end it turned out that the poor girl’s wasted childhood at best and lack of childhood at worst has all been for absolutely nothing in the end. It certainly didn’t help at all that her entire rebrand was built entirely on stealing someone else’s song and gaslighting people into thinking she didn’t know what she was doing when she did either, turning her from an obscure former celeb trying to stay relevant to a controversial former celeb trying to stay relevant.
You know, the only reason all this still persists, is because so many people WANT to be entertained by living people, like they have their own personal jesters, every day, right?
By far the best vid on the subject, I'm grateful that yt recommended this to me. Your voice and cadence is great, so is your look. The animations and editing too. But especially the information you provided. Kudos!
I didn't care about her then and I don't care about her now but her bragging is starting to make me actively dislike her which admittedly doesn't matter to her or anyone so.
I can’t even imagine how messed up these people who used to be child stars are. You can experience just a small fraction of this abuse as a kid and have it affect you negatively for the rest of your life.
imagine re-branding in KISS garb and having no clue who Gene Simmons is - this kid is the queen of cringe, urgh, the 2nd hand embarrassment is strong with this one
It's very simple, jojo has the male body shape of a male wrestler, she's very tall and even has the dressing style of a wrestler. The problem is, she chose the wrong rebrand. She should have joined the WWE.
after listening to you I do support jojo. Also her parents must be sued and give jojo at least 65% of the money because its HERS. You dont need millions to live a nice live.
Her mom said from the day she was born, she was determined to make her a star. So, yes, who doesn’t want to be told how great they are, but is this even what JoJo would have picked for herself? She says her mother has never been the “loving cuddling” type and there were times she craved that. Her brother was basically left out and then the middle of his senior year Jess decides she misses her husband and pulls him out of school away from his friends and sticks him in the middle of the jojo mess. I’m afraid the girl is going to have a melt down with all the pressure her mom (mostly) has put on her. She even trained her that she was supposed to be buying all this stuff for her family. I hope that JoJo doesn’t end up with the sad ending of so many other stars. Her dance star costars all seem to be in better places than she is. I guess only time will tell.
This is why I don't like how parents uses there children for money to be a star on hollywood like you can't do that to your child. You have to give them some child moment to be a child with other kids and let them choose there path. Don't force them to be a star because you want money like that's not loving your child, that's being greedy. Remember that Jennette's mom force her to be a star because they don't have money and wanted her daughter's money instead being a loving mother to her.
My ‘issue’ is that of course she wants to rebrand, all kid stars will at some point. It’s the fact that her rebrand seems so inauthentic. It seems she made choices that were in the opposite end of the spectrum whether it fit her or not like the ‘kiss costume’ versus a big bright bow. I feel she’s trying too hard to show she’s of age like being drunk at Disney (I don’t think she was drunk at all, or just a bit. It’s seemed way too calculated)
If you state how you are the first to do something like be a lesbian dressed like Gene Simmons from the band KISS. Then to claim that you invented a genre called “Gay Pop” which is the equivalent of having the fan base of half of the WNBA. Nothing against the WNBA and the fans who watch it.
jojo tried to come out all older and what ever but she still look like a kid the trying to be sexy is just not work for her, she should have just kept being herself
Jojo Siwa is not trolling. We are witnessing the final stages that come before her first mental breakdown. Don't make it seem like she's in control of any aspect of what is happening. She has handlers like all the rest, starting with that mother of hers.

Jojos reband reminds me of Christian cover songs of popular rock music - bland and fake. She's still supposed to carter to the same consumer group of kids and their parents, so it has to be save and only mildly shocking. She wants to shock - but in a save way, so it fails. Glitter kiss makeup is the best example, I highly doubt she ever listened to KISS or any glam rock/metal band she could have gotten inspo from. Because they are not safe. And thus, many can't take it seriously, it'obvious she doesn't understand the references she uses.
I think reality show kids are not protected by the Coogan Account. That's why "mama" June has been able to rip off her poor daughters and spend all their money. Jim Bob Duggar is another parent who tried to keep all the money from the reality shows. One daughter had to sue to get some money. Looking at these poor kids, it's so much better to be raised in an anonymous, relatively normal way, in my opinion.
I fr feel like JoJo is watching these documentaries and taking notes about how to act next. We’re giving her a “what to-do” list she can use so the public will be more accepting of her craziness
This girl (jojo) needs a new team that doesnt involve her mom. She could drastically redye her hair back to its natural colour, then get a proper stylist to put her new darker colours/emo look together. Add in a good publicist & a few other people, her rebrabd would've been successful.
Tbh, as a person who used to listened Jojo as a kid, I didn't care what she's going to do with her future. As said, the entertainment industry is of course one of the harshest reality to befall on any star kid influencers but you can't deny that these people were once micro transaction only for their fame and money towards their family and society. I am so glad that I didn't fall into the entertainment industry, I dreamed so much about wanting to become a singer but I didn't realize that the entertainment itself can be derangedly catastrophic for those who entered since the youngest age. I've learned the hard lesson and I might become a singer someday, just probably not now or the future, who knows. As for Jojo, good on her. Narcissistic people are very hard to get along with, they don't have the same capacity of sharing empathetic traits which turned me off because I have narcissistic parent who regularly destroy not only my childhood even my identity self, just like Jojo. But I didn't inherently become like her so I developed internalized bpd and resentment towards woman who couldn't be honest to themselves (and probably the ones who loves to gossip as well) I can't say all narcissistic people are kind and good people, it usually depends their upbringing and how they treat others, I tend to attract narcissistic people who uses my compassion and empathetic personality, they never give me back with the same treatment I give to them hence I started to feel angry, sadness and depress10n because hoping towards narcissistic people are impossible. If Jojo truly wanted to change, she needs to look at the cruel side of reality where her egotism will crushed down, her pride, the financial money she made and the delusional thoughts about she can rebrand herself only to be destroyed as well. Rebranding isn't about talking more, it needs to be talking less and learn more about the subjects what you actually like. Unfortunately for her, her vocal cords are almost destroyed so I doubt she can sing normally (I still have my vocal cords, just half-damaged from not able to sing properly lol). But it would be nice if she pick on musical instruments like Lindsey Stirling, she might be able to find any musical instruments that might resonate to her the most. Idk about anyone's opinions but there's at least 0.5% chance of Jojo changing. We won't know yet unless if there are someone out there try to get in contact with her and have serious discussion about her identity as a whole other than just being Kiss rebrand. I have the lowest expectations for narcissistic people but seeing few people hoping for Jojo to become better feels almost impossible but yet intriguing because I don't know if she can do it. Abby Lee is indeed a bad abusive mother, although the only way to get rid of toxic tendencies is to have time with yourself and self-reflection, that is all I could do to say about Jojo's well-being. Your sincerely, A victim survivor of narcissistic and SA abuse (I was forced to grow up, I never had a proper childhood as well)

The problem with Jojo rebrand is that she did it to fast and very cringe. She Need it to start it slow and steady, and not so cringy.
Yeah
Or rebrand to something that wasn’t so ridiculous and cringe. A black sparkly outfit and black sparkly face paint and sticking your tongue out - I’m not sure what she’s trying to portray. A Kiss groupie?
She needs a publicist. She should not be talking unscripted. So cringy
Her problem is she didn't do it fast enough. She wanted to do a Miley Cyrus, however Miley just did it. She didn't do a press tour weeks in advance hyping it up.
Especially when the end result is "take everything I used to be and turn the saturation way down. Don't change a single thing else".
You're right, without mentioning other stuff no many people mentioned:
-She didn't do a research to understand how a rebrand works, if she had done that, she would have learned with cases such as Miley Cyrus, since Miley's change wasn't so critiquized because it went smoothly, you can tell she isn't faking it, that's how she really was and is.
Poor kids , parents who push their own dreams on their kids are thrash .
For Real
She’s no longer a kid and most of this is on her for lying and making stupid comments.
Lets be real here, its not parents doing it to their children, Its mothers doing it to their daughters.
Don't say poor Jojo, she exploits/abuses children herself...
Yup. Classic Marie Antoinette forehead. The hairline starts to recede after all that pulling and straining.
Bleaching from 2 yrs old probably didn't help
Abbey should be charged with child abuse based on how she screamed at the kids. Such a horrible woman to berate a child. 😮
Blame the PARENTS. No good mother would stand there and allow their child to stay in that environment.
@@mrsx7944kinda, some of the mom (like christi) weren’t allowed to leave bc of contracts and legal shit
I always said to my daughter you’re watching that mean lady. 😊
Here’s the thing. Miley is actually very talented. I’m not convinced that jojo has any talent at all. Other than being loud and sparkly.
>this
You're right, but it isn't just the fact that Miley is actually very talented, it's also the fact that unlike Jojo, her change went smoothly, you were able to tell she wasn't forcing it, because that's how she really was and is, sure, she faced negative criticism, but at least it wasn't a sudden and cringe change, because it wasn't like she was Hannah Montana one day and sitting on a wrecking ball the next day.
Any half way coordinated person should be able to dance after 20,000 dance classes.
Miley is doing fine just was stuck in a box and played up the crazy to get out of it. JoJo going the way of Amanda Bynes in front of our eyes tho

She should of done the Mary Kate and Ashley strategy… that one never fails and they still make money from all of their kid-teen era
What was their strategy, they became adults...that are rarely visible! Or was THAT the strategy?!
@@ParentalDiscretionIsAdvised They started companies. That one made them more than just being in movies.
honestly, I ro ‘t think JoJo even knows who she is.
This channel is gonna blow up soon. Dude the amount of effort you put in, I’m easily entertained by all of your videos ❤
Found It today. Completely Agree
I am living for her rebrand failure

I get it, but I'm too old to take delight in a kid's failure. I mostly feel really sad that she is what they made her to be.
Can you BELIEVE how badly the media treated Britney. Shame on them! She was so young and women should be supporting other women
Lmao this girl who was forced into show business against her will when she was two is such an arrogant loser.
All of those things are true, yet I still feel bad for her. She's exactly what her handlers made her to be.
@@ContentMadame I feel bad for child JoJo, but I don’t feel bad for adult JoJo who chooses to do these things, including befriending and defending predators on top of the cringe, arrogant behaviours. What she does now is her choice and has been for quite some time.

I think we all forget that while it doesn't excuse it, all of the other Dance Moms girls stepped out of the spotlight for at LEAST a few months, if not years, which allowed them to process and realize their trauma. Jojo hasn't had one moment to deal with it, as she's just kept chugging along. She's literally just pushing aside her issues. We should give her a little grace, that doesn't mean not call her out when she does dumb shit, but I'm excited for what her career will look like once she either gets therapy or realizes how fucked up her life actually is. And because of her family dynamic specifically with her SMOTHER, that will be extremely hard to figure out because she's had her mom whispering in her ear that this was fine and normal her whole life. She's literally just been brainwashed into thinking this is all okay, and we definitely see that in interviews, specifically the new dance moms reunion. I hope she heals and addresses what she's done wrong these past couple years, and apologizes. I hope she learns to do better.
@@CKatieM I wish the best for her, sure. But sadly I think JoJo is one of those cases where giving her some grace isn’t gonna help yet as she’s not gonna realise shit until she hits absolute rock bottom.
@@avaria1538 Twenty years old is still a kid--not a child but clearly immature--and she's been stunted in her emotional development by the life she was forced to live. Her brain isn't even finished developing yet, so I'm going to withhold judgement of her as an adult until she's developmentally an adult.
Well it sounds cool, never heard of it.
The issue is she thinks she's cooler than she actually is.
I think half the problem is that she already had a lot of people against her, because of some of the awful people she still chooses to associate with. So regardless of however she chose to rebrand, a lot if people were going to mock her
26:23…. Just a thought …
I truly believe this big “change” is still very much so manufactured … and when she does finally rebel against her mother / those who control/ sponge off her…. It’ll be an absolute car crash!!
That Is why her rebrand feels off, there is no element of the teenage rebellion or young adult stubborn independence in it.
If she had stripped off the persona (maybe no make up and extremely normal clothes) and sang an accustitic version of karma, people would have said that the switch was dramatic. She is just doing the same thing.
My husband worked with Bravo for years (behind the scenes) - let's just say it's not the healthiest environment on any level
Abby filed a police report bc someone called her out on "Theater etiquette?" 😂
Love how ppl can't practice what they preach!
I hope JoJo gets the help she needs. This is sad to see.
Off topic but Alison Stoner is really beautiful. You're beautiful too.

I came across and watched Alyson Stoner RUclips channel after her voice acting on The Legend of Korra. And when her Dear Hollywood series came out, You can tell she struggled and had a lot of therapy to be able to break everything down the way she did.
I really hope as Jojo gets older and matures that she will realize how much her family, especially her mother, has exploited her.
Not really sure who this person is (I’m old🤦🏻♂️) but young Jojo looks like she stepped right out of 1991 😅
All of those bright colors is giving me Lisa Frank vibes 😭
4:04 don't forget having her hair dyed blonde since she was like 2 years old has to have permanently damaged not just her hair and scalp but who knows what else if she kept smelling the chemical fumes from the hair dye
She wasn’t interesting for an adults when she was a rainbow unicorn and her merch and image was directed to kids and Nickelodeon. She is not Xtina in her dirrrty era. She feels fake to play an adult games and not understanding how adulthood works.

Ugh that is so sad that she had to support her family. And that her family was so manipulative about it.
Ok now Abby rolling in slow motion, backwards out of the auditorium & filing a police report 😂😂😂😂 hilarious.
Announcing a rebrand was probably the first mistake. Litteraly spelling out that youre going from a child star to an adult as opposed to just doing it was insanely delusional. Nobody likes fake people
14:40 It just clicked in my head that jojo is trying to sound like teenage miley so badly but instead she sounds like shes smoked a pack a day.
After so many videos ripping into Jo Jo for her missteps, this is such a refreshing and considerate take.
her new "Karma" video outfit looks like a really bad dollar store cross between KISS and Reputation era Taylor Swift
Don't say poor Jojo, she exploits/abuses children herself...
It's called trying too hard and it is cringe.
she reeks of try
yep. it's just too forced and unauthentic
You know, the only reason all this still persists, is because so many people WANT to be entertained by living people, like they have their own personal jesters, every day, right?

I just discovered this channel and in 2 days already 4 videos deep. BRAVO, VERY well done!
I’m surprised no one around her told her to just start acting this way without calling it a rebrand.
I can’t even imagine how messed up these people who used to be child stars are. You can experience just a small fraction of this abuse as a kid and have it affect you negatively for the rest of your life.
If only Jojo would watch this...
Yes! I was waiting on a JoJo one from you! Thank you!! Loving your style of vids 💖😁✨
imagine re-branding in KISS garb and having no clue who Gene Simmons is - this kid is the queen of cringe, urgh, the 2nd hand embarrassment is strong with this one
I really didn’t think I needed to hear anymore on Jojo, but this video is some really great commentary, and very well made. ❤
“No one’s in my generation has ever made this dramatic of a switch”
The only switch she’s made is swapping her pink, rainbow sparkles for black 😂
This is the best documentary I've heard explaining the rise and fall of child stars. I'll be checking out your channel because of this.
I'm just waiting for her to truly come clean and leave all these coached personas behind. That will be her real re-brand. I'd buy that tell-all book.
It's very simple, jojo has the male body shape of a male wrestler, she's very tall and even has the dressing style of a wrestler. The problem is, she chose the wrong rebrand. She should have joined the WWE.

7 years old girl way better at breaking than raygunn....
If it was really a rash not only would it be visible, the hairstyle would definitely change early on to keep her from losing her hair. Common sense.
after listening to you I do support jojo. Also her parents must be sued and give jojo at least 65% of the money because its HERS. You dont need millions to live a nice live.
I kept thinking Scandy was Alyson Stoner.😂
I wonder what wouls have happened if she had good parents who let her be a child and didn't overly expose her like that
I straight up thought this was the same Jojo as when I was a kid 😂 didn’t realize there were two jojos
It's like nobody here knows there's an entire movie about this, called 'Cuties'.
How come you don't have millions of subscribers? I'm sure it's a matter of time, because your videos are awesome! 👍
Parents should be charged for permitting such abuse to their children. This doesnt just happens on a show... Its a regular thing
jojo tried to come out all older and what ever but she still look like a kid the trying to be sexy is just not work for her, she should have just kept being herself
Jojo Siwa is not trolling. We are witnessing the final stages that come before her first mental breakdown. Don't make it seem like she's in control of any aspect of what is happening. She has handlers like all the rest, starting with that mother of hers.
There is one clip where she says ''when i was writing karma'' i bored of getting gasligthed that she didn't say, SHE DID SAY SHE WROTE IT.

21:55 the irony of Miley’s siblings having been on Hannah Montana as well
Odd question: what lighting are you using? I'd like to get some like that with deep blue lights.
She looks like an 80s era wrestler
i never followed jojo, but damn i feel bad for her. kinda wanna ask if she does stuff to make her happy and not everyone around her.
I think more people need to remember their embarrassing moments growing up. We've all been there. Maybe shes still working out who she is.
The real question. Is the FruFru dog with the bow safe now that she went full on Gene Simmons.
Bleaching her hair as a child and those tight A$$ ponytails is what made her hairline recede early!!
His brother is litteraly her but with facial hair
But I didn't inherently become like her so I developed internalized bpd and resentment towards woman who couldn't be honest to themselves (and probably the ones who loves to gossip as well)
I can't say all narcissistic people are kind and good people, it usually depends their upbringing and how they treat others, I tend to attract narcissistic people who uses my compassion and empathetic personality, they never give me back with the same treatment I give to them hence I started to feel angry, sadness and depress10n because hoping towards narcissistic people are impossible.
Your sincerely,
A victim survivor of narcissistic and SA abuse (I was forced to grow up, I never had a proper childhood as well)
Jojo losing all of that hair at such a young age is incredibly sad.... 😔
How did her parents not save enough money to be good for life with the money they got? They made way more than they put into the Coogan account... 🤨
I literally don't even know who she was. I heard her name said a lot years ago as if people were trying to make it seem like everyone knew who she was but I don't think anyone I knew ever mentioned her name either. Like was she on a show or something? I don't understand
I know not the place to ask that but my point is she isn't at all who she thought she was. I mean I'm older gen z and barely even heard her name before
The Lady Gaga stuff is pretty outdated, i think maybe Jojo didn’t account for the passage of time?
"I know the predator Ballinger very, very, VEERRRYYY well....VERY.". Uh huh ..
