This is the only animation movie that brought me to uncontrollable tears.... actual weeping. I lost my first wife of 23 years to cancer in 1990. She was 43 years old. One of the last things she said to me was, "I regret that we won't grow old together." Up really got to me.😢❤
This movie pulls at your heart strings in the first ten minutes regardless of how many times you’ve seen it. Still stings even if you know it’s coming. Glad to see you enjoyed this masterpiece.
Back in the not too distant past when Disney knew how to make a movie, Cars really surprised me with a wonderful story and great animation by Pixar. Also, for a good time Western, check out Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan in Shanghai Noon. And the sequel Shanghai Knights.
Its a beautiful and heart wrenching and heart warming movie, which has become the stock and trade of Pixar. Really enjoyed your reaction and engagement with the movie!
OMG, the best reaction yet, absolutely Stoatin and just pure magic; Thank you Emma, watching this film with your completely heartfelt, Laldy and genuine asides was just pure quality; The little aside/quip by Emma as she watched the little bit about the aches and pains we feel as we get older struck a cord; Anyway back to the start and Carl and his wife Ellie from when they first met, fell in love, married and grew old together tugged at the heartstrings; Then dealing with loss and loneliness and change; As the World changed around him Carl decided to fulfill the dream he had shared with his Wife and thus set of on a spirit of adventure; Emma gave a just pitch perfect Full Bhoona as two disparate lonely souls found friendship and kinship; A nice comical story of bonding as they saved an endangered Bird, and overcame a respected adventurer/scientist who turned out to have feet of clay; All in all, just a delightful story, made better by Emma's Stoating telling of it; Another good animated film that I think also stirs some emotions was Watership Down, which also had a terrific theme tune by Art Garfunkel; Bright Eyes, though it is in parts quite dark and violent; Now age restricted, but back in the 70's they didn't tend to worry about that sort of thing. Sorry Emma, this revue has become far to verbose, I must become less wordy before I send you round the bend. 🥰😍💘💝👍👏✌🤟🙆♂.
Fun , Beautiful, Emotional and Excellent animated movie! Never thought I'd say that about an animated movie! Luv the talking Doggos! Lol thanks for sharing Emma ❤️💛 I recommend watching the "Cars" movie series or the "Ice Age" movie series!😁
Hello Emma!😊 This has to be the saddest beginning of any animated films I have seen.😭 You are doing a great job getting reactions out so quick!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great reactions to one of the best Pixar stand alone films, Emma!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Looking forward to your next reaction!😊
Thanks for this reaction Emma. My favorite character is Dug the dog. I have just met you, and I LUFF you! 🐕🥰 I saw this film in theaters with my fiancee when it first came out, and we both enjoyed it. I lost her to suicide a few years later after we lost a daughter to miscarriage. I watched it again after her death and couldn't get past the opening scene without spiraling into sadness and tears, and turned it off. It hit too close to home and was a traumatic experience that felt too much like my own life. I tried again repeatedly to watch it over the years, and could never get past the opening scene. I finally watched Up from beginning to end last Christmas. The tears still flowed, as they did again today, but at least I can finally see the beauty in it. There are so many wonderful moments in this film to make one smile between the tears. It is truly a masterpiece of storytelling.
This film is for people over 40 and it's really forbidden for you who have a lot of heart lol truly a masterpiece in Brazil he was voiced by one of the greatest comedians in the country in his last work For me pixar is not like it used to be I would love to see you watch the first animated Transformers film from 1986.
The beginning when they buy and fix the home is similar to It’s A Wonderful Life. The part where he whacks the worker with his cane is similar to Miracle on 34th Street when Santa strikes the psychologist with his cane and is sent to a mental hospital.
You mentioned the soundtrack. Pixar really wove some magic with the music, conveying different emotions with different arrangements. They use it to connect you to Ellie in the 40:45 beginning, and traumatize you by showing their life struggles and taking her away suddenly. By the end, they can play the Ellie theme softly and slowly, make you cry before you even realize what you're crying about. Powerful.
Great movie. it is such a great and different animation movie. It deals with real life you almost forget it is an animation movie. It is both funny and Sad. I was never interested seeing animation movies until I saw this movie. You should also watch Big Hero 6 which is also a great movie like this.
"Up": Carl and Ellie's life is played out in the first 10 minutes, which makes strong men cry, uncontrollably. Then Carl meets Russell, and the adventure begins... Hmm, favorite cartoon? Summer has ended, so "get on the bus" to Oregon and spend some time at The Mystery Shack in "Gravity Falls.";)
Karl sends Russell on a "snipe hunt", which is a hunt for a fake bird called a "snipe" meant to get rid of somebody and waste their time. It is a type of "wild goose chase" or hopeless quest. The point is to get rid of the person being pranked. The joke is that the bird, Kevin, actually exists. It's a big part of the plot of the movie but non-English natives may not get this detail.
Thanks for posting this "Up" movie today Emma. After a rough few days here, it was just what the doctor ordered. I hadn't heard anything prior about this Pixar film and it put a smile on my face. Your reactions are funny as usual. I especially liked when the background music began playing and you blurted out "Carmen' 😂 I also got a chuckle when you started describing how you sometimes play the "quiet game" with your children ! 😂
Beautiful movie. I enjoyed your reaction. You should check out “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” a combination of live action and cartoon that is masterfully done. You would love it.
Hello, there. Just want to say that I'll be keeping an eye on this space, because you seem like a legit person, with very diverse tastes, with a small channel, which I know for a fact is gonna blow up one day. Is it okay to make movie suggestions?
I don't understand why. Kids respond very positively to stories that include many of the same aspects of real life, and that includes tragedy, such as illness or death. By shielding our kids from what really happens in life, we're preparing for them to fail when these times actually occur. My kids have all grown up on the farm, with animals/livestock of all kinds. They've experienced the joy of nursing a sick animal back to health, and experienced the pain of losing the ones that didn't make it. Also, the responsibilities normal care and feeding of the animals we have had. All of this has prepared them for dealing with the death of loved ones, such as with their grandparents, while understanding the significant importance of the babies being brought into our family. Kids can't grow up in a fantasy land where there's no pain, suffering or consequences, and then magically know how to act when they reach the age of adulthood. I think this animated movie is a wonderful learning experience for children to one day become well-adjusted adults. But, that's just my comment and opinion, and anyone who thinks differently is entitled to their own opinion as well. Cheers.
I'm a grown as* man , and I don't feel like shedding a tear today , so I will not be watching your reaction today . Leaving a short comment to help with the algorithm , and like to show I care , but we will see you tomorrow .

For an animated movie, that opening was absolutely brutal. It's so beautiful, but at the same time it tears you apart.
A teary grown ass man agrees with you.
This movie pulls at your heart strings in the first ten minutes regardless of how many times you’ve seen it. Still stings even if you know it’s coming. Glad to see you enjoyed this masterpiece.
This movie is beyond beautiful

I like the super romantic story of the bespectacled people at the beginning! and a chubby scooter!))
Beautiful and Emotional
This movie breaks your heart in the first ten minutes and then destroys you when he looking through the Adventure Book. It’s such a good movie.
I feel like the music is a character of its own in this movie.
I didn’t this was a sad movie. It’s a wonderful tearjerker. You rock.
Great movie. Lovely reaction. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️❤️❤️🙏
The actor who voiced Mr Fredricson in this film also voiced a lot of comic book characters plus the oldest member of the Disney Gargoyles team.

Another cartoon movie that you will appreciate is "Sing". From 2016. Thank you, Emma. Love your reactions!
A beautiful cartoon, next try Wall-E!
Ok;)👍

I don't know if you've seen the Pixar movie "Coco" but that's another animated movie that may touch your heart. Another masterpiece.

I will watch nearly any other film - but this one broke my heart. I'd sooner watch "There Will Be Blood" before watching "Up" again. Great movie.
This Movie Was Truly Beautiful :)😇❤️❤️🙏
If you want a great animated film from the '80's I recommend The Secret Of Nimh. 🙂
That was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I'd wait all month for it to come on HBO back in the old TV Guide days.
The actor is long time Hollywood royalty Ed Asner, proly most famous for the Mary Tyler Moore show, and other shows, which was filmed , live!
Oh yeah!!! 👍
LOVE THE DOGGOOOO's

A unique retro cartoon. As a retiree, I know how the old man feels, except my family is still in town.
Good timing. When Ellie died, the lights in the tree behind you turned off as well.
Of course, then I saw that they turned on and off constantly.
Time for tears😢
☺️🎬🥰
My favorite animated movie is "Megamind".

The time you fell and could not breathe for a few seconds, is commonly referred to as - getting the wind knocked out of you.

There is only one test we will ever need to verify if someone is human or not. Watch the opening of Up!
Ok))) 👍
Did you watch the end credits? There is a hole story there as well.
Awesome movie love you reaction
Pixar's Up movie makes me wish we can have a 3D animated film based on The Lost World novel written by Arthur Canon Doyle.
There is more emotion in the first 20 minutes of this film than in anything Disney has made in the past 5 years.
Inside out 2 was good but ultimately I agree
In the past century you mean.
@masterdonut5 Elemental was good, so was Luca and Turning Red.

If you don't know, snipes aren't real. People send kids on a "snipe hunt" to make them go waste time doing something impossible.
2:28 … hard.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
You just put out the least emotional reaction to the first 15 minutes of all the others I've watched 🎉🎉🎉

Pixar lost me on this one. There was no way I was going to let my kid see this movie.

@@meanmax9663 I understand. My son is now 25 but at the time he couldn't have handled that. I just thinks Pixar PG movies shouldn't deal with death.
4:33 it's even sadder I think, they had prepared the room for the baby so she'd already been pregnant, I think she suffered a miscarriage
