What's fantastic about this movie is that it features characters from Spielber's earlier movies, like a dinosaur from Jurassic Park and the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future.

This is actually one of my favorite movies of all time. Guilty pleasure or whatever. Just find it to be so much fun.

You should react to Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds, don't want to give away any spoilers more than it has some similarities to this, more humor but it's really good - would love to see you watch that one.

Movie is much, much worse than book.

I loved this film. In my top 20 of all time. 2k films seen in long life. Some were so bad I rated 1-10 on IMDb scale. This I rated 9-10 and both Natalie Portman and Jean Reno were very good. However Gary Oldman was ridiculously good. Just brilliant. And this film introduced me to Luc Besson films, and I like most of them

I absolutely love this movie. It takes me way back to when I was a kid playing with all these toys being used as avatars in the game.

Frank did not commit suicide to protect his brother or to protect his family, they would never be touched because it would be against the code of the Mafia to go after uninvolved family member but when Frank talked about family getting taking care of that means that they would be provided with money now that Frank could no longer support them. Frank understood that Roth had double crossed him and made him think Michael wanted to kill him, with that out of the way Frank would never break omerta and talk to the authorities.

This is one of the first movies my dad showed me as a kid. Lots of concepts went over my head and I asked lots of questions. To put it in perspective I was a little younger than the sick kid being told the story! I was instantly hooked. As time passed I memorized all the words and came to understood most innuendos as well as the lessons this film/anti-fairytail teaches. (Westley was my childhood crush btw, I even subconsciously date men that resemble Cary elwes lol) Perhaps one of the hardest lessons I’ve been previously exposed to by this movie and recently experienced for myself was the loss of my father, the very man who introduced me to this wonderful movie. I even watched it the night he passed. Tbh I haven’t been able to watch it in full since. These reactions are helping me enjoy this masterpiece again. I think it’s a blend of commentary company and the film is chopped up. Thank you

I have always found Episode II to be a very 'all over the map' film with some things that work extremely well, like Obi-Wan's story, the special effects, the overall plot, the battles and lightsaber duels, and it has much closer to the 'edge of your seat' excitement of the original trilogy. There are also some things that are executed very poorly like the Anakin/Padme romance, a fair bit of the other dialogue and not explaining the backstory of some things particularly well. I think like the rest of the prequels that it is getting something of an appreciation from the disappointment fueled backlash that they originally got. I think it could have been stronger if they had played into some of the things that only appear in the books and/or are theories based on vague hints. These include that part of the friction between Anakin and Obi-Wan is that Obi-Wan and Padme are in many ways much more compatible with each other, which is further by the fact that Natalie Portman chose to play the initial scenes as if she had a crush on Obi-Wan (which 100% makes sense, during the events of Episode I, she is supposed to be 14 and Anakin 9, between a 9 year old kid and the good looking Jedi in his early 20's who killed the freaky assassin after you, I think any 14 year old would be more interested in the Jedi). There is also the fan theory, that actually totally makes sense that Anakin, unintentionally, influences Padme into falling in love with him. He doesn't mean to be his power with the force slowly pulls twists her mind, and if they had played that up a little it would also be a good excuse to why the Jedi forbid attachments. There are some hints to it, but they also could have done more with the fact that Obi-Wan meant well, but he was ALWAYS the wrong person to train Anakin, the reason being that the 9 year old Anakin needed a father figure (which is why, even though Darth Maul was defeated, the dark side 'won' the duel as the father figure he needed, Qui-Gon Jin, was killed) and Obi-Wan, who was TOPS 15 years old than him was just not that person. Obi-Wan himself had a certain streak of recklessness to him, and while the two of them became friends and brothers, he was not able to provide Anakin with what he needed. The best example of that is comparing the way Qui-Gon says 'my young apprentice' when he is talking to and correcting Obi-Wan, which is paternal and understanding and patience, to how Obi-Wan says it to Anakin, which is usually critical, sometimes dismissive, and sometimes tinged with a degree of impatience and frustration. Anyway, loved your review, love these movies (if you couldn't tell, haha).
