  • Parked for 17 years, but started up 3 years ago, this classic car, a Impala Super Sport restoration project, still has the factory original 327 small block V8 and four gear manual transmission. In this video the car gets a new master brake cylinder, alternator test and some minor adjustments.

    How much?
My first car,16 years old in 1977. Bought a orchid exterior with black interior, 327, 325 hp, factory, air, factory tack where the vacuum gauge was. I love that car. It looks like a force speed you got there. Oh my God best car Chevrolet ever made. It looks like yours is the same color as mine was.SOLD!!!

Chevrolet built those machines to last! 100 years from now, body and engine would still be in working shape!

What color is the paint. It's hard to tell in the video but it looks like it could be evening orchid. If so, please keep it that color. That was the most amazing color for those cars. The 65 Impala SS is my dream car. I almost bought one a couple years ago for $10K but I decided the money was needed elsewhere. I regret that decision all the time

Original factory colour for this car is artesian turquoise metallic. The colour you see now is matt silver paint somone have panted over that original colour a long time ago before i saw this car. Good luck Chevy Impala hunting!

I think that color is Evening Orchid. It's a 1-year only color but unbelievably I've seen another identical Impala SS that color. only with a white interior.

I had a 65 ss with 289, white buket seats and auto on center console. Sadly I totaled it in 72 . I wish I had camera back then.

@mikelewis5152 I hope you meant to say 283! Because if it had a 289 you should be ashamed of yourself!

I paid $600 for mine from a body shop guy so it had new factory paint. I can’t watch anymore, looks like it has the rare tach n 4 speed, no power glide 😢

Anytime I take a first drive in a vintage vehicle, which is ni totally restored,I drive like a 90 year old. Not sure of brakes, tranny, suspension, engine etc.

...I find that aspect of this man's style, refreshing. Rubber isn't renewable when left behind on pavement. Norway is more eco friendly I'd have to guess and that suits me fine.
