    This is such an amazing trick!! I had a “problem” in my mix, in that I had mixed from the bass up, and I didn’t have a good high frequency response from anything. In the PAZ-Freq meter everything above 10 was non-existent. This technique and setting worked to really control the high end and mix it in easily, with some modifications of the plugin settings for the tracks (Gtr bass and vocals), to bring it all together. So fucking brilliant of an idea!! Many thanks for sharing!

      just a friendly tip if you might not know...get your hands on izotope ozone 8 and start working with the tonal balance control vst it offers...it's a tool where it gives you referrence points to where your levels from low to low mid to high mid and high should be sitting at...revolutionary stuff...it's a visual aid tool to see where your frequencies lie in the mix or master...especially on the low end it has a meter telling you if the signal is over compressed or needs more compression...have your song radio ready for real without second opinions

      @@lanway95 So maybe I get something wrong right here. So I assume the vocal goes through a usual fx channel and then sends the vocal to another bus before meeting the initial vocal signal in the master. So if this is this is the case, do I process the main vocal or just the sent one? Hacer un track auxiliar con una copia de la lead vocal y routearlo con la lead vocal. Ponerle un EQ y subir mucho (8db) a partir de 9kHz , con todas las demás frecuencias por debajo quitadas (2:55). Después poner un compresor con un attack muy rápido (sobre 285) y un release medio(sobre 110) (3:55), para controlar las 's' y las 't' que han sido potenciadas al subir tanto esa frecuencia en el EQ. Después un DeEsser sobre 4200 Hz 5:10. Después un limiter sobre -8db para quitar el rango dinámico de las "s" 6:40. AHORA LO MÁS IMPORTANTE: Poner un Delay a ¼ sobre el propio track, para añadir movimiento de High End a la Lead Vocal (7:30). Poco después explica cómo pone el delay (Feedback no muy fuerte, al 30% y casi Dry del todo, Hi Pass sobre 300 Hz). Se debería oír así: 8:35. 9:15 mezcla este aux con Lead Vocal subiendo poco a poco para notar los cambios. 9:45 sin aux y con (Bypass). 10:25 lo hace pero sin música, aquí es donde MÁS se nota.

    Beauty. I've done this same process for bass guitar/snare drum clarity for years. Never actually thought of trying it for the vocal, cheers man.

    For this you only need a harmonic Exciter and save time and professional cuz you can control it by changing the amount of Fx just saying

    • @HelpMeDevvon
      @HelpMeDevvon  5 лет назад +3

      Frailyn Payano in my experience when I’ve used just an exciter it gave me a very thin sound and then when I tried it by blending a copy instead there was to much body that added back into my vocal so I mean if that’s what you’re looking to accomplish then you are not wrong!!

    You could achieve pretty much the same end by using multiband compression... All you're really doing is adding EQ over EQ and deessing it...

    • @neovxr
      @neovxr 5 лет назад

      I think it's particular and more versatile. the MB won't easily let you plug a delay in one band.

    • @migzhaleco
      @migzhaleco 5 лет назад +1

      Maybe he just wanted to blend a bit of it instead of overcompressing the original signal.

    • @kashbandi7461
      @kashbandi7461 5 лет назад +1

      What about not compressinh the original signal? Blending is much better
