    Sir amazing video, but why have you used a stainless steel spatula for mixing the Gic, where as agate plastic spatula should be used

    Thank you, this is very helpful. What if there are highspots after cementation, do we remove the crown to remove highspots or do we do it intraorally?

    • @DRSMFaizan
      @DRSMFaizan  Год назад +1

      You’re most welcome. Avoid this from happening after cementation by doing it before and sending it back to lab for glazing again. That being said, you can’t remove the crown after cementation so you have to do it intra orally.

    Nice video sir, thanks a bunch for the clear instructions, how long should we wait to fully start eating (even hard foods) after Type-1 GIC lutings of crowns?

    • @DRSMFaizan
      @DRSMFaizan  Год назад +2

      Most welcome Abhishek :)
      I ask the patient to eat normal food after 30 mins but try to avoid hard/sticky stuff for at-least 24 hours. Books/Articles might tell you to ideally wait even a couple of days before sticky/hard food but practically alot of patients will start eating almost immediately after leaving the office:) So if you give them “atleast 24 hours” ki recommendation, they are more likely to follow :) Hope that helps!

    Hello Sir , can you tell me after how much time we can start eating after puting crown ?

    • @DRSMFaizan
      @DRSMFaizan  7 месяцев назад

      Depends which cement. If you were painfree before the crown, i ask my patients to go eat after 30 mins or so. The important thing is to not CHEW or have sticky foods from the crown area for a day. Again varies case to case as the type of cement is different.

      I am a patient.
      Maine crown lagwaya hai 1 month pehle.... abb maine notice kiya ki crown aur gum line k bich ek small gap hai at one point.... baki sabhi edges perfectly sealed hain
      My question is what do you recommend to fill that small gap...its abt 1 mm or little less... bt i feel it can cause food lodging in the long run
      will i have to remove this crown and put new crown ??
      Or can it be filled by any cement ??
