I then ask them if they are familiar with the recipe & if they aren’t, I ask if it’s okay if I google it. I’ve learned it’s always best to be honest with your guests 😁 I try to remember to thank them for teaching me something new, that usually gets a smile outta them 😁

Ppl come for the drinks, but stay for the bartender. I’ve been bartending for about 8 years. Some ppl can be lonely and just want a friend to talk to. Some ppl trust their bartender and will bring first dates there. Some ppl are alcoholics and the bartender can make a tasty drink. Some ppl are enticed by customer service & feel welcomed & at home bc of the bartender. Everyone has their own reasonings why they go to a bar, I try to be one of those reasons. Give it a try, the worst thing that can happen is that you find yourself not enjoying it. Lmk what you decide, I’m always here for you! 😄
@@hotsauce7362 it varies. Depends on how much volume the bar can handle & how busy they are. The busier, the better. Some weekends you can make a couple thousand other weekends one might only make 600. Gotta budget and save for the slow times or find something else to do during the slower seasons.

Dude are you using your hands to get limes and lemons instead of tongs? I would recommend as a bartender you use tongs only just so it looks better and more sanitary to the customers, otherwise your a massive inspiration to myself on bar keep it up.

@ barbacks get a fixed hourly rate. We have 2 servers, they get a certain percentage out the pool plus a generous hourly rate
