    This makes so much sense especially about the thumb saftey! My ar15, CZ Scorpion, Panzer BP12 shotgun, Hellion...they all have a manual saftey but guys wanna rag so much on how it'll slow you down in a defensive scenario...my M&P m2.0 Compact has the thumb saftey and the few years I've had it riding down on that thumb saftey is apart of my gripnand I use it to assist with recoil control! Definitely interested in a Staccato C2 for another carry gun and the motion with the slide release and controls all seem very transferable, excellent video!

    Great content. Just got my staccato CS and can’t believe how insanely accurate I am compared to my Glock. I will say however - the feeling of having a gun cocked with a chambered round is just a great self defense carry. The Glock in my opinion is just so easy to draw and shoot.
    HOWEVER- my CS is just to good. I can easily let off 10 rounds within a 2 inch grouping from 12 yards. Unbelievable

    I love your videos so normal without all the gungho- It is like a buddy giving you advice vibe. I bet you are a phenomenal instructor. To be honest, I cannot imagine carrying a pistol without it being condition 1 and the 1911/2011 is what I trust. The first pistol my dad taught me on was a 1911. I was lucky enough to have a 1911 sidearm as a Marine in my unit while the rest of the USMC went to M92s. I was really reluctant to go with a 2011 because I am a 45 acp worshipper. However when I first held the staccato DPO it could have been in 22lr and I would have gotten it. I have many firearms (very few calibers), have held shot etc many firearms. The Staccato DPO felt like I was born with it like it is an extension of my body. I love it and it is my CCW pistol. I trust my life and the life of my wife with it. If something happens I will be supremely confident in this pistol. I dont know if it resonates but the Staccato is the 1 firearm that made me change my views a caliber that my entire adult life was my go to caliber.

To answer your other comment, I’d take a strong look at the Holosun 508 or 509, the ne Holosun EPS is also great and looking good for body worn carry. Other proven optics like the RMR, Acro p2 are solid choices as well. The delta point pro will mount direct just make sure to get a new version with the updated circuit board.

    • @bertblue9683
      @bertblue9683 Год назад

      The safety engaged will not let the hammer fall. You'd have to disengage it then lower it with your thumb while keeping the grip safety depressed. It's unsafe to do this with a loaded gun. Be extremely careful. But there's no reason to drop the hammer on a live round. Cocked and locked is the best position.

    Thank you. I’m a new shooter and I picked up the C2 and love it! My one question is, should the slide be very tight on a new 2011? I have to use a bit of force to slide the rail. Is this something that will loosen up with more use?

      It will be a little tight at first. Make sure you lubricate the rails and top of the barrel hood. Once you get some rounds through it, she will smooth out.
      I have two C2s and they are awesome handguns.

      They are snug, add some lubrication and break it in

      Give it a good cleaning when you first get it to get all the packing grease off then use Hoppe's oil. keep it wet it will run like a dream. Search RUclips for how to clean staccato and oil points

      I'd be a bit concerned that your slide is tight on a staccato C2. If it's used, a good cleaning is in order, if it's still stiff after cleaning and lubed, I'd be suspicious that the spring was changed or something tweaked in the fit. Staccatos run like they are on ball bearings.
      Other manufacturers have stiff slides. Not staccato.

      I’m a little late to this, but I just picked up a C2 and it is very stiff as well (haven’t shot it yet). The consensus I’ve been told is that it will loosen up after a few hundred rounds. If not? Well, that’s what their warranty is for!

    Love your content.
    I’m new to 2011 platform. Bought a CS, have 100 rounds through it. Can’t say gif sure that it will replace one of my CZ as an EDC but it is a consideration🤔
    I carry daily on duty in south Memphis Tn😮if you were going to pick one or the other for a duty weapon, would you choose the P or the XC( with a duty weight trigger) and with either an SRO or the 509 Vulcan acss reticle. What duty holster!

    Just picked up my Staccato yesterday and it's going to be my EDC. However, I've only carried striker fired pistols. I've owned 1911's in the past but was never aware that I should be treating the safety with the same discipline as my carbine. It was like an epiphany. I'm glad I took a look at this video as a refresher.

    When you dropped that Stacato, my heart stopped. But then it restarted once you were able to shoot the remainder rounds off.
    It was not because of the expectation to shoot, it was scratches on that beautiful machine.😢

      Depends on use, the C2 is great carry gun, lighter etc but the P is probably my favorite overall shooter.

    When a round is chambered, do you always leave the hammer in the cocked position or lower the hammer? I.e. if I'm carrying with a chambered round or in my night stand for an extended period, would it be suggested to keep the hammer cocked? If no, what's the safest way to lower the hammer on a chambered round?

    • @GunsandTactics
      @GunsandTactics  Год назад +1

      Cocked and locked. Hammer cocked with safety on.
