@night Subliminals I was the girl who wore oversized t shirts and pushed everyone away from me. Baggy pants that barely fit. Old sneakers. I let my hair just hang around my head and didn't care. I put books I enjoyed in my backpack, filled it to the brim with em, instead of school things. I used sarcasm and rare violence to be left alone, to defend myself. I looked at the other kids around me, remembering what had always happened when I'd offered honesty and kindness, and decided that they just weren't worth it. I was better off alone. It was better than false smiles and mockery they thought I was too stupid to notice. I always noticed..... Too cheerful offers to play, I'd only agree nicely to give them the benefit of the doubt... then they'd laugh like I hoped they wouldn't. I was the girl with the shit grades that drew and read and eventually hated you all. I offered kindness, unfiltered, and was spurned and mocked like I was naive and easy to toy with for it. I became disgusted with you all. I saw the popular, they saw me. Disdain was mutual, and I didn't give them the benefit of jack shit anymore. They tried to shove me off the sidewalk? Again? Pretty girl's face meets a pretty silver pole. Not that I'm not pretty. I'm alright. I just never put too much into my appearance back then. Often including a hair brush. I refused to follow the make up is beauty crap. It unnerved me. Still does. I'm better than fucking powder and liquid. I'm flesh and fluff and me. I'm real and perfectly imperfect and that's the best fucking thing ever. Fuck anyone who tries to tell me otherwise with Dracula's favorite spear. Most (95 fucking % of the world) people are worthless excuses for human beings, and I treat them how they apparently wish to be treated. I'd later maybe make one, or two, friends. Eventually I'd be forgotten and left behind, but that was fine. The distance was as much my fault as theirs. I was used to being a prickly sort by then, not that I'd forgotten how to be kind I just... I wasn't sure how to keep them. I am the silent friend who always cares but never speaks unless spoken to, not cuz I'm scared, but because I'm not too conversational. And loyalty is rarely enough to keep a friend. Silence like mine makes them leave. I'm silently loyal with a bit of random snark and humor. You need better friends. To try and not care so much what popular pieces of shit think. Look around, I promise there's better people to be friends with, even if I can't promise they'll stay forever. Just... be kind, and... don't be cruel when you do. Don't mock their clothes, their hair, their shoes, or lack of make up. And just be you. The real one that you are when you feel safe and happy. Just try and talk to them, say no it's not a joke, or a prank, cuz they might think it is, might be used to it. Keep trying.

'To just keep talking to you'.. the simplicity and juxtaposition of this sentence, has a very complex set of raw emotions that is overbearing, overpowering and so god damn hurtful when you're developing a sentiment for someone who will never feel the same for you.

Let me tell you about myself
(Im 17 years old, a little but idiot and pretty ugly in my eyes)
I used to live in the US (Im Arabic but really white and blonde) and people used to be very racist to me at school because I was born in Jordan/Amman. I think this caused my current social anxiety. I never told my mom because I was afraid shed go to school and make a fuss about it. I only told her I didn't have friends and her only option was for me to change schools, which was something I wasn't gonna do so she didn't really do much. She was also very bad tempered when I was young. I moved back to Jordan at age 10.
I have had social anxiety since I was a little kid, this led to me isolating myself from my whole family and most of my schools. I don't even go out with friends anymore. I don't drink or smoke or anything which is also a huge part of this. I don't have any close friends who I trust and I've never had a girlfriend because, who would want to go out with the ugly lonely nobody in the school?
My parents don;t like me. They're proud of my brother who has won various international tennis championships and my sister who gets awesome grades and does pretty much everything perfectly. Im useless. I dont do anything right nor do I know how to do much. I've tried lots of activities in the past but as I said before, I cant get along with people and I cant really enjoy doing stuff alone like drawing or writing.
My parents complain about everything I do. Im depressed and I find it impossible to get good grades and concentrate at school (I think I may have a medical condition) so they yell and start taking away all my stuff (phone, pc, consoles) for a while and complain because I still don;t get good grades after they do this. I've tried to tell them Im depressed and life is getting really hard and heavy on me. Ive even told them that I don;t care about school anymore because all I want is to pass. Not to get good grades. I tell them to please stop making me feel like shit because they complain about every step I take. They say they'll try, but this is always a lie. They just keep on acting like nothing happened and everything is fine. I don;t go to family reunions or parties or anything and I've started to lock myself up in my room everyday, only going out a few times to get food or to walk my dog. I can't believe they think that everything is fine in my life or that they just don;t care. I've thought about suicide constantly for the last few years but cant get to actually killing myself because Im kinda scared of death. Since I hate seeing blood I don;t cut myself but I do stuff like hit my leg until its very hard to walk or just punching the wall until I cant do it anymore. One time I fractured my hand but just hid it from everyone because I knew they wouldn't care.
I lost all motivation in my life and now Im about to finish high school without ever having a girlfriend or a kiss. My youth sucked. My life is going nowhere and I don;t know what to do. I don;t trust anyone. I don;t like people. I have nowhere to go and I hate myself. What should I do? Kill myself? Wait to see what happens? People say life will get better but this isn't true. Not for the last almost 18 years. Each year has been worse than the last. I hope someday Ill read this and say, wow, Im glad my life is good now.

Everyday going to school to hear "there's the fatty again" "u are so ugly" "please don't touch me" "I am disgusted". Well it was 5th grade. And here in Germany u enter a new school after 4th grade so it was a new class. I can remember trying to reach out to them.... I saw them playing something like Hide and seek I wanted to play along but then I reliazed "wow they are hiding from me" I didn't know what to do. I was just a lost 12 year old. Today it's better. But not perfect. I know what it's like to have Arabic parents. I am Egyptian. And to be honest they can be often so cold, harsh and merciless. Don't let them bring u down ok? I believe in you.

Addy Neilson I understand can’t sleep for days don’t feel anything you even wish to feel pain even if was just for a few seconds to full the emptiness there is and to be honest it’s so easy to find the everything you are going through and as stupid as being right talk to someone don’t keep everything in I did that and I had a major break down to point where I don’t have the energy for anything all keep thinking are depressing thoughts and feel lonely even if I’m a big group nobody notice someone who is broken so from another broken person to another one talk to someone or at least write something just let go of your emotions once in a while if you want you can talk to me or get a therapist or write or listen to music or something to help you I’m going through this multiple times and I already know how to kind control it but I believe in you and I know you are going to get better

We dated for 4 months. In those 4 months he said he would rather die than loose me, yet he broke up with me. I was in 6th grade at the end of elementary school and my closest friend told me never to talk to her and not to call her she told me no one liked me and that she was waiting a long time to tell me this, after that I realized no one really was my friend. The endless bullying that I had lived with forever finally got to me and i began to spiral down. I hate myself and have started wishing harm upon myself. I've tried to get help but... I know no one cares, not really. Looking back I realised how manipulate she was but it still hurts to be rejected by someone you trusted. It's a pain that I don't think will ever go away.

This sounds a lot like me and my ex’s relationship (except I’m a guy) she paused me away because I have a mental disorder and she wanted someone more like herself and her family hated me and half of them haven’t met me, I would say bad things about myself and I would think that I was a bad person because of it, I know what your going through, they just weren’t the right person, stay strong, things will get better.

I think what’s crazy is just that I’m sadly falling apart bc I have crazy trust issues and I am inexplicably in love with this guy. But just something just something is just not right. My gut is telling me no he’s not right for you but my heart is telling me yes. I have no support system. Nobody knows about him yet. He’s my bundle of happiness but I think my good days are soon to be over. And I don’t think I’ll be able to survive. Like to wake up and go to work and try to look okay when you’re tearing up inside.
