The one thing I really like about the Halo Universe is how indepth it truly is.. They really did go out of their way to build a world after the first game was a hit. I think that's apart of its staying power.
I think it would be hilarious if we found out the Prophet homeworld was still around and still run by the Stoics. "Oh look, the meddling blasphemers are back. So how did it go? Can't help but notice you're sans one holy Dreadnought."
@@WhyTho525 They literally attempted to exterminate both Humans and Elites first. Also I'm pretty sure the flood is responsible for most of the prophets dying
I don't feel I've seen enough of it to do races from that lore justice, although I have seen multiple requests and likely will watch the series from the start.
Heard. I definitely appreciate the response. If you're looking for a great new science fiction to watch I definitely recommend it. It's a little dated at first but once you get into the story arc it really is quite incredible! I'm a lifelong Star Trek fan and I feel like Babylon 5 at times put them to shame.
@@CertifiablyIngame I watched Babylon 5 and after about 3 episodes I had two thoughts: first, that they were really prolific in their misappropriation of names from ancient Persian, Babylonian, and other fertile crescent cultures. Second, someone watched Star Trek and was really butthurt that Gene Roddenberry was an atheist, so they decided to make Star Trek but with their own religious views stuck in with all the grace and subtlety of someone using a jackhammer to crack an egg.
Its not that the covenant could not make AI, it is that AI was taboo due to the actions of 032 mendicant bias during the flood forerunner war. They did allow for simplistic AI equal to a UNSC dumb AI (e.g. auntie dot from halo reach) in purpose. First Strike (i think) contains mention of a covenant AI which operated a CCS supercarrier. They also used some forerunner AI such as the luminary (ironically a fragment of 032) as both religious icons/artifacts and for their built purposes, although it is worth noting that most of these AI just ignored them.
Didn't the prophet hierarchs know the truth about halo rings that they are meant to destroy all life. I'm surprised that Truth still wanted to activate the halo rings after knowing the truth
Only the High Prophet of Truth knew the true purpose of the rings . Regret and Mercy only knew the part that humanity were true inheritors of the Forerunner legacy . The reason Truth was willing to fire the Halo Array is because he's a power-hungry megalomaniac who would've done anything to keep his power . The reason Truth went to Ark is because the Ark is out of range of the Milky Way galaxy and the Halos only kill everything inside the Milky Way galaxy, so if he fires the Array he and his followers survive . With this he makes sure that the Covenant is the only power and he has the ultimate power .
@@WhyTho525 that does make a lot of sense because in the lore the arc was meant to keep all the living beings in the galaxy safe from the firing of the halo rings
Is there any prophets or high council members left after halo 3? Are there multiple San shyum planets? Are there still some who have possibly started a new covenant? Could they come back as powerful as they were before? So many questions. Would you make a video to answer these questions?
As far as we know, no their homeworld was their only bastion. The Stoics didn’t want to technologically uplift themselves into Covenant status level because of superstition. They had fighter jets and other stuff shown with official art, but nothing comparable to the modern galaxy. The Reformists so far only lived on the Anodyne Spirit, the keyship, before High Charity so...unless they had secret colonies the other species didn’t know about
The San'Shyuum are one of my favorite Halo species. I just feel like Bungie kinda doomed their existence. For one thing, they decided to limit their population, give them short fertility rates, and allow only less than a thousand of their kind to survive. Assuming that enough females survived, they COULD bring their population back up, but their genetics would be fucked up and they may evolve to be more frail than ever. Unless there is a Forerunner artifact that can clone them and expand their gene pool, they're pretty much fucked. I'm actually also a bit skeptical on whether or not the Stoics are still alive. I'm really hoping they are. I think the worst part about their situation is that the former Covenant races may never forgive the San'Shyuum for lying to them, so if the prophets ever did show their faces they'd be hunted down or imprisoned for their crimes. In short, the San'Shyuum are doomed, and it was the developers' choice. Thanks a lot, Bungie and 343
So doom and gloom and full of drama are these humans. Telling their stories. Look forward to meeting all of these non-human beings, if you haven't already. I definitely saw an elite snooping friendly in the dark.
Because they had a forerunner dreadnought? One elite was equal to several San Shyuum in ground combat, they only got the stalemate through technology and that dreadnought...
I guess we have to remember that even if they were strong then they have been in a administrative non combat role for countless generations and presumably spending most of their lives in anti gravity chairs probably making their bones quite weak
Did you know that doctor who and halo exist in the same universe? Sanghelios is mentioned many times on the show. The 10th doctor even goes there! Rigworlds/halos and forerunners are also mentioned.
The Great Irony is that the San'Shyuum were once close allies with ancient humans against the Forerunners.
