I wish the show would’ve actually tested his code. They kind of did a few times but the biggest test of his code the writers freed him of making the decision. Doakes killed by his girlfriend. Laguerta killed by his sister. He technically broke the code by killing that pedophile but I mean come on if you are already a highly capable serial killer why not kill somebody predating on your children And then he broke the code killing that guy in the bathroom after his wife was murdered. But he was having probably one of his most emotional moments in the whole show. There might be other examples but I can’t really think of any
