I loved the Tekhan play in the last game boosting the flavor of warlock. (16:45)
You hire Tekhan in the raid of Dalaran, and we play as him to sweep out the last sector with archmages.
With his unspeakable power needed by Rafaam, he boosts the power of worthless henchmen tenfold!
Then he is immediately sacrificed for said henchmen. "You have ssserved your purpose..."
The henchmen are put to work in the battlefield, to then be sacrificed to summon a massive demon.
The meta is to hype up the Aggro, and then play control when the expansion is out for instant legend rank.

I think it's always going to be one of my all-time favorite HS decks. It was one of the first ones I started playing, and doing so taught me all the fundamentals about trading, playing around removal, balancing value and tempo. It's a really good didactic deck.

How one manages to rope in a zoo deck i do not know
RoS zoo deck is one of the hardest zoo so far, with more positioning, order, and trading decision with carpet. Now it's even harder with the lackey and self damage package. Its so much unlike the old councilman spam all minions in your hand style

Andika Jaka it was really just a joke, obviously zoo has evolved just as other decks have evolved, but the fact that trump managed to rope on what should generally be pretty easy mental math was just amusing to me. Most likely zoo is gonna divide into like 3 or 4 different archetypes for warlock though since each one kind of needs a counterbalance to shore up their weaknesses (self damage needing healing, swarm needing sea giants, and lackeys needing something to make it more consistently strong)
@@kennethokubo3435 yeah it's an interesting time for zoo, each package gets some support, even discard with the merchant and soulwarden could fit in zoo. Its gonna take some deckbuilding tinkering
Andika Jaka i think infinite soulwardens is gonna be the most fun, just imagine hitting a soulwarden and then using shriek or reckless diretroll to hit any combination of 1 to 2 cost cards you could ever dream of.
What’s the win percentage with this deck?
Tekhan gonna be my next leg in my zoolock. I got a leeroy in there for extra spice but yeah by turn 3 you should have dealt 5-7 damage. It's usually too much tempo for the opponent.
Currently at rank 5 running a zoo warlock. Doesn't seem to be working and im being stomped into the ground rip 800 dust I spent on 2 diseased vultures.

A lot of legendaries share musical cues. Tirion and Antonidas, Cenarius and Velen, Pagle and Manastorm and Overspark, most of the beast legendaries (Mookla, Krush, The Beast, Murkeye, Hogger, etc).

The first game worked well because you found all of your self harm cards and none of your lackey related cards. What happens when you get a mixture? Should "Zoo" focus on one package or the other?
I think it is impossible to go full one way or the other, really.
Self-Harm has the problem of health. That resource depletes surprisingly quickly. There are also too few good self-harm lovers, I feel. One more thing like Vulture would tie it together. Still, lack of easy healing is a problem.
Lackeys... well, there just are not enough lackey-synergy cards in the game. Evil Cable Rat isnt run cause it is incredibly strong, you know.

You are pretending to be a token deck in board flooding department, bur with out actualy using tokens, but cheap efficient cards.
"Zoo" is a deck archetype that uses cheap minions that trade efficiently to maintain board control.

I think it was Kripparian who already made one of those. Basically it's just Zoolock with the self harm and lackey package, but it's got Thun and Plague of Flames in there just in case you run out of juice in the late game. It seemed to work pretty well, but as with all of these decks, we'll have to wait and see how they stack up against actual competition as opposed to a bunch of people just trying out the new cards.

@@lMarcusl Oh yeah ive been seeing it a lot recently. I only resubbed to him recently for the expansion, eventually my hype will die down and i'll most likely unsub from the bunch of extra HS youtubers I subbed to outside of my regular few.
I dont think his star ratings are that bad, I mean he makes good points. But some do seem very off, like he devalued priest a lot yet he doesnt seem to play it properly so who knows. Each to their own.

@@klaidaz01 Getting overstatted minions with a "Downside" usually forces your opponent to trade, which means you should go face.
Of course there are arguments of trading in certain scenarios, such as protecting value generating minions, but i see plenty of cases in this video where going face would have turned the game for the better.
@@simonpvo2 you can't have a face deck with zero direct damage. The point of a zoo deck is to control the board by flooding it with minions and keep pushing damage. If you lose the board by giving your opponent good trades you usually lose the game
@@klaidaz01 Yeah, that's why Kripparian basically made this exact same deck, but he threw in Mechathun and Plague of Flames to seal the deal in the endgame if he ran out of steam.

Also, the opponent highrolled; there are only three handbuff cards, and they drew them all, including both copies of Into the Fray. Normally that 6/8 on turn 3 would have been only 2/4 or 4/6.

The lackey package is shit. 1 mana discover a Lackey is terrible; I am baffled that some think that card is good. EVIL Recruiter is realistically a 4 mana 8/8, which is not bad, but it also comes with the cost of suboptimal turn 1-3, which is terrible for zoo. And the effect is no backbreaking enough; Mage already plays 4 mana 8/8 with little downside and the threat of just losing the game right there if you can't remove it.
The Magic Carpet package is not top tier now and there's no way it will be in a way stronger expansion. The way to go will be playing a selective self-damage package in a midrange deck.
I mean, out of three games, one is a lose and the other two were won by RNG. I'm not that sure about being "huge", but whatever.
