Frozen’s Strategy
1. Fill his own deck with Worthless Imps.
2. Void Contract to cut each player’s deck in half.
3. Keep the half of his deck that is full of Worthless Imps.
4. Concede.
the idea was good i guess the opponent was expecting Arch-Villain Rafaam for making the Worthless Imps random legendarys.
Jhon Gosu Yeah he runs Rafaam for that plan but he runs expensive spells for the 10 mana minions that summons random minions equal to the mana cost of spells in your hand. The deck is focused around this main combo, the Rafaam thing is secondary.
@@qwej9341 Really? Rafaam is synergistic with the quest as opposed to King Phaoris which is anti-synergistic.
graydaze Yeah but filling a board with 8 mana minions is definitely a good win condition. With the heropower you could get phaoris off early before priest can even use a plague of death for example. The decks highroll is pretty great.
@@qwej9341 Sure, but I wouldn't call Pharois the primary win condition. It's to inconsistent for that. There still some answers to big boards like mass hysteria and brawl. I view this as a control deck whose primary win condition is Rafaam and the secondary is fatigue/void contract against combo decks.

It's the pre-release showcase. The point isn't to play smart, it's to put on a show, to trick gullible halfwits like me into pre-ordering.

I think in those situations he's voicing his concern but evaluating that the reward is worth the risk. (No-fun reply I know)

@@Ray_tch Honestly, I feel like it loses really hard to early game decks. You effectively start with one less card and if you try to complete the quest, that just means you can get run over by aggro decks. Maybe you can play around it by tossing the quest during mulligan if you think you are playing against an aggressive deck (which you can't really risk against classes that have several viable archetypes). In that case, I guess it's a question of whether or not the cards that you run in your deck are good enough to beat an aggro deck without the quest.
Ultimately we'll have to see, but I'm really looking forward to this expansion !

Paladins have the ressurect ability mate, they've always been reanimating the dead.

@@davidbodor1762 I'm guessing the pallies have some bull rule about when it's good with the light and whatnot. Did your war buddy just get squashed by some fuck-off huge bug demon? Go ahead and rez. Wander to a graveyard of long-deceased and fancy making an army? No-siree that's for the necromancers.
All in all I think it's kind of like the 5 second rule.

But also note that Uldum has a very different culture and the people there that follow the light, also seem to engage in some sort of tradition where it is honorable to continue your duty even unto death - hence the card that's a literal spirit guarding the tomb of his king/emperor. Bearing in mind that Paladins also follow the Light AND defend their kings/princes I'd say it's simply a difference in cultures not necessarilly a difference of the class itself. Just like how a Tauren Shaman and Troll Shaman would have very different practices, an Uldum Paladin and an Eastern Kingdoms Paladin will have very different practices too.

It's definitely a 300IQ deck, big brain decks aren't always 'good' decks. He managed to find a way to utilise a card that's usually seen as a drawback, I'd say it's commendable.
pretty sure the void contract is a bit much but the rest probably has some merit
At the end of the day it is a meme. It's funny and cool, but those decks have a super high variance in win-rate.

@@Stolanis Angels are holy beings created by God to do certain jobs for him. Angels don't need to eat, sleep, rest, pee, poop or have sex and are unable to procreate but they're immortal beings. Angels are neither male nor female but in most holy books they've ever seen in male human disguise. They don't have any reproductive organs (including breasts).

@@mewtwotwo2222 I love reno decks so much... but the problems with these singletons is you lack in consitency and inevitably fine tuning.
I hope all these new ideas work tho, so the style of play and decks we can use varies a lot in the next expansion.

I honestly think Frozen's deck isn't even bad. He made some misplays like discarding the Siphon Soul.

You shuffle tons of worthless imps and void contract - you want to win in fatigue but you non stop topdecks 1 (or 0) mama 1/1 aganst normal deck...
Rng that your opponent didnt draw late game before void contract and rng that void contract destroys good cards...
@@dawidk519 also important to note is that you can't void contract unless you're holding rafaam. You also don't want to impbalming without rafaam in hand, however you want to eleek both impbalming and plot twist, so it's a bit awkward there. Pretty weak concept, but not as worthless as the imps

That warlock in the beginning was amazing
At 6:17, ordering should have been magnetize first, and emperor wraps that one, as it keeps it magnetized buffs before being 2/2 for kangors, meaning both could be summoned as 5/10

Maybe duel/reborn paladin could work with that 10/10 reborn legy?
I just want to know what Blizzard was thinking when they designed a Class legendary quest to only work for 1 expansion. Reborn is going to be an Uldum only mechanic so why did Blizzard make a quest that relies on you having to play cards that will only ever be around in 1 set? The card will be completely worthless as soon as the next set drops.
I mean, there’s enough decent reborn minions to complete the quest if you ask me, the hard part is actually getting the reward to be worthwhile.
@@kennethokubo3435 The 3 best reborn minions in the game aren't even Paladin cards. Which is the card that got the quest that requires you play a bunch of Reborn minions.
Noobie2k7 as i said before, the hard part is getting enough out of the hero power to be better than an unconditional “summon a 1/1”. Because unlike other quests in terms of value, this isn’t worth more than 2 mana without synergies.
Noobie2k7 couple of points
1. the expansions this year are part of a continuous narrative so there is no reason at all why you can’t put reborn minions in the next expansion.
2. As we saw here it is not that unrealistic to complete the quest and so now you can support the deck by making things you want to use hero power on because The reborn package itself is fine.
@@dragonlogos1 Since when has Blizzard ever given us expansion specific keywords that they support past 1 set? Inspire, Echo, Adapt, Overkill etc. I do not count rush or lifesteal as those effects already existed, they were just given a name.
Redemption is also fabulous with reborn minions, particularly the 2/4 taunt.
What is the class identity of paladin??? Mechs? Murlocs?? One health beast?? Secrets?? Dragons?? Idk whats blizzard is doing with this class

Oh I’m so glad that it looks like a fill Choose One Deck will be decent. Maybe not the best but the value starting turn 6 is to good to pass up.
The deck seems ok I just don't think they have quite enough reborn cards to really make it work, and not enough value from the hero power at the end imo. I do wonder how singleton/highlander paladin will do with the new sir finley.

Agreed, the hero power payoff needs to be big and consistent to offset the cost of filling your deck with mediocre reborn cards, so we'd need more plentiful high-power deathrattles to justify it.
Maybe next expansion.

Ok so i was using this deck and got paired up against a bomb Warrior i finishen the quest and started to make copys of my eggs. Oponent ragequits and friend requests me and he blames me for being a cheater and Im actually abusing a bug and he Will report me to blizzard to remove my account Im wondering can he actually do this? Or Am i just paranoid?
Wow that is genius. A way of making worthless imps have super value, ie increasing the odds that your good cards won't be destroyed when playing void contract!

Everyone missed the genius of the imp deck. Questlock has a problem of running out of cards quickly. But imps? They prevent it! And elekk on top of that! Just keep in mind that this guy knew what he was doing

This deck seems interesting, I think the 1/3 mech shouldn't be in it, so cristology would always draw a reborn minion. Also too bad that mechano egg is sooo slow, but still the best target for emperor wraps :(
