How to Make Dowel-Jig

- I made a jig that can accurately process dowel hole.
Dowel hole jig using parallel link. Regardless of the thickness of the workpiece, you can open a dowel hole in the middle.
There is a similar youtube movie, but because there is no adjustment function jig accuracy will depend on the work precision. Therefore, I tried to improve the structure that can be fine-tuned.
Thanks to the adjustment function you can make dowel holes that match exactly even if the processing accuracy is bad.
【important point】
1) In the movie, the adjustment is done with screws, but it turned out to be shifted when hard wood was processed. So I think that it is better to bond them.
2) When using a drill for woodworking, the torque is large, and distortion occurs due to insufficient rigidity of the jig. Perfectly matched dowel hole does not open.
I improved using iron drills.

ダボ穴の芯を出す調整のところ、最初は難しいかもしれません。
ネジを増し締めするとトルクがかかって曲がった状態で固定されることがあるからです。
少しづつ増し締めし、正確な冶具が作れることを確認したらネジで固定せず、接着剤で固定したほうがより正確で、強固な冶具になります。

本当に尊敬します。木工ドリルだとズレるなど考えもしませんでした。参考にさせていただきます。
以前、ダボ冶具の質問があったので汎用性のあるものを作ってみました。
木工ドリルがNGなのはこの冶具に剛性がないからです。市販の冶具や、もっと頑丈なものならまったく問題ありませんよ。
是非、参考にして下さい。
以前外人ﾕｰﾁｭｰﾊﾞｰが同じ機構の冶具を作っていました。
しかし、それよりも遥かに作成が簡単で、精度が出そうなので作りたくなりました。
私も海外のモノを参考に作ってみましたが、なかなか芯が出ませんでした。
「じゃぁっ」という事で作ったのがこれです。
参考になれば幸いです。

Nice video and a good jig, well done. so many people asking where to get the brackets, it doesn't matter what kind of brackets you use. Just make sure they are small and strong enough with holes on the sides. You can even make them yourself, it's not that hard. I made these myself and it works very well and fast.

ダボ用のジグって思うほど簡単に作れるものではありませんよね！？
しかし見事に揃っていますね！！ここまでの制度を出せるのは、素晴らしいです。
ダボ冶具は難しいですよね。ズレが2倍になるわけですから。
今回の冶具は原始的な方法で現物合わせしているので、シンプルながら精度は非常に高い作りにできるところがミソです。
