I love how Spine hits soprano notes in some songs, baritone in others, and goes into a throat voice in Honeybee. It's a very difficult sound to produce and having the ability to do so plus having a wide vocal range while sounding sexy as hell is amazing to me. Also doing that while playing one of the many instruments he's skilled in and keeping up the persona of Spine.

really wish i had found them before 2015...
+HORSES GONE WILD same ;-; XD we all have the same problem
+Loki the Trixter I discovered them back in 2013 and have been hooked since.
+Loki the Trixter i found about them in 2016 they are a very good band
Badmuthatrucker666 Welcome to the fan club, they are one of the most addictive bands on the planet.
you know that rabbit is known as bunny now right and is transgender?
I love how rabbit has like six belts on at once
I don't know if it is because of my particular personal moment in life, but these guys have really managed to struck a chord with me. They are far from what I expected when I decided to check out a "Steampunk band that move like robots", they're actually much better than I ever imagined. I admire people who can stick to what they want to do even while being aware that it won't be everybody's cup of tea.
Let me robotically feel this passion in reality by watching people passing by
I need more song with The Spine's voice at 2:22
Man, I love that for some reason SPG is related to steam in any way, shape, or form.

I agree :)
So glad I saw them live.
YOU SAW THEM LIVE!?! *radiating jealousy* xD
So great seeing your journey so far, SPG. May you have many many more years of music and joy.
2020.
This song introduced me to SPG. It still has a special place in my heart.
Back in 2021 💖
Yet another sublime example of The Spine's amazing vocal range. And their harmonies are pure joy.
Yeeeeah...David's vocals...
I would have NEVER found this band if my friends hadn't been playing his cover of Diamonds, the one day...
Good grief, this man's voice is BEAUTIFUL...
Fantastic job and truly an original artwork! Spending my evenings listening to Victorian steam powered robots singing are a necessity I didn't know I had until now. Cheers from Brazil.
This is the first time I've listened to this band, and damn they are amazing :D Great music plus the steampunk aesthetic (I've always loved steampunk ^w^) just equals a very happy me as well as a new fan of the band.
I heard of this band while playing Steamworld Heist. The songs suit perfectly with the setting. I think I'm in love with this band now.
I found it when a teacher that likes to put random stuff on RUclips and he put harder better faster stronger cover on
So I let the RUclips algorithm do it's thing a couple days ago and just let random songs play till I got to this band playing Honeybee and not even gonna lie, I was bamboozled at first... But then the next day I caught myself humming to it and now I'm about to spend the entire weekend binging all the albums and researching as much lore as my grubby little internet hands can find 😂. You all have frickin awesome music and i'm stoked to start learning this song in particular on guitar tomorrow, wish me luck! 😌
I cannot believe I didn't know about this group before like 4 days ago. Honestly. They are pure geniuses.
I just was turned on to this musical sensation by Spotify, and I am so blown away by these siblings and their bandmates. I have not been able to stop watching these videos since I became aware of their existence. Their voices and lyrics, and showmanship, and back-stories continually sweep me away with each listen. So grateful to have had my ears and eyes blessed by this incredible group.
Rabbit in this video makes me feel like she's taking out a lot of rage. It looks freaking awesome XD
I have listened to this song at least once a day for the past 2 weeks...I just can't get enough of it. I really love the way Rabbit moves in this, and The Spine's voice is just GOLDEN! I'm miss The Jon, I really thought he was great!
"Epic, and so cool" indeed.
5:00 the guy dropped his guitar and laughed
Wtf???? I didn't see any guitar dropped
M3Lucky the guitar slipped from the guy in the Back hands
Where has this been all my life . . . . . .
This is the first song I ever heard from SPG - and I keep coming back to listen to it :D still loving it even after all these years.
Love The Spine's range, and the random humor thrown in by the robots is great 😂
HOW...have...I...missed...this band???
WTG, guys!!!! You know you are big when your YT commercial before your song is a MOVIE TRAILER! However, I already knew you were big and I'm so glad I was able to meet you at Youmacon in Detroit! Love you new album and Bunny's art work is AMAZING! Keep up the GREAT work! :)
I love this song
It calms me down somehow
Rabbit: More belts.
Everyone on set: But you already have ten of them Rabbit!
Rabbit: I SAID MORE BELTS GOD DAMN IT
Well this is one of the positive things about RUclips. Discovering. Where in the world has this Band being. Why are they not yet a World Success. This is so different, this is Visual and musical Art.V
Whenever I sing along to this song and I'm a bit emotional it always makes me tear up a little, the bits about explaining what it's like to be mechanical/different get me, and something about singing that deep, too.
one of the best songs i have ever heard
You know that thing people started doing with 'Fire, Fire' with playing it in two tabs at once? Do this one.... oh my glob, my ears are in love.
Amoechick it's even cooler when one is a half a second behind the other (and a bit quieter).
Amoechick Trying it now, I dunno how I feel about it.
Mac B That's how I played it ^.^
Woouderhause fair enough ^.^
what thing ? :0 I'm interested
10 years.....time goes by so fast :(
This is prolly my favorite STG song. Honeybee is a damn close one though.
Lyrics:
Ever since the first time I opened my eyes
I've awakened to the same thing
Other automaton friends roughly built like me
The first time I opened my mouth to speak
steam escaped to the air
and black oil dripped from my lips
and onto the ground
Well daylight struck a chord with my
photo-receptors
Night greeted me with a sea of stars
Our eyes all flashed blues and greens
through the night
It's just our
Aaaaaaaaaah Automatonic
Electronic
Harmonics
People are soaring, always exploring,
higher than they've ever been before
But we are still down here,
feet on the ground near
what will rise us up with the rest
Our thoughts are quixotic, stark and robotic,
mechanical in nature all the time
And pulses are firing in our head wiring,
guiding all our actions and beings
It's just our
Aaaaaaaaaah Automatonic
Electronic
Harmonics
I am not an unimaginable thing
My thoughts are tangible
though they're full of springs
I don't have the heart to send you untruthful words
My skin is cold to the touch and made from the earth
They say
Oh, oh it's so down, but baby it's sound
makes your worries cease to pound
And oh, maybe it's alright, 'cause baby it fights
for some time just to be held tight
And oh, maybe it's not wrong, 'cause it sings a lovely song
one that drifts on for so long
And oh, baby let's not lie, it's eyes are alive
and pointed up shining light to the sky
It's just our
Aaaaaaaaaah Automatonic
Electronic
Harmonics
Epic and so cool
Epic and so cool
Epic and so cool
Epic and so cool
Aaaaaaaaaah Automatonic
Electronic
Harmonics
Aaaaaaaaaah Automatonic

Harmonics
I have such a huge crush on The Spine.@_@
Do you still have a crush on The Spine
Just found this video today at this moment right now, never heard of Steam powered Giraffe before. Instant fan.
The Jon's hats and the Spine's shutter shades and long jacket. Loving it.
