For those asking, this video was not shot at the same location as Honeybee. It was shot on the Coastal Trail at the Cabrillo National Monument on the Point Loma peninsula in San Diego, California. It’s about a 30 minute drive from where we shot Honeybee. That location is at Sunset Cliffs. :)

Well, Naturally- I would assume it was trickery and sail away quickly before I lost myself completely to the beautiful spell that would surely enchant a mysterious surrender that sirens are known for.... Any day now, though, it would not be an escape from a mythical creature. And at that point, I imagine I would probably buy a ticket and watch The Two Cent Show!
I love the direction in this video. The quick cuts of similar movements when Spine is with his robot family and without them give room for interpretation, especially when we get to the end to see him strumming his guitar alone. I like to think that either he's standing there alone singing out to the sea imagining he's singing with his family, or he's been playing this song the entire time in the dark while reminiscing about singing with his family in contrast to times he still goes there to sing along, hoping he'll be with them. Either way, it's a lovely song with beautiful harmonies from Zero and Rabbit. I could listen to Spine sing all day.
Man The Spine has such precise and uncanny moves. At this point I think you could legitimately convince someone he was the current Disney park animatronic frame. Amazing motion performance.
I love how this very much feels like a continuation of Honeybee, intentional or not. From grieving and sorrow, to understanding that brighter days are ahead. Also I believe filmed in the same spot in San Diego Living in Sacramento, i wish i could see them live one day, or join them if i had the talent for it lol.

I am so ridiculously happy that I accidentally discovered this band while watching a randon youtube video, they gave me my love of art back ,woke me up from depression, and I will be eternally grateful . The world feels like a better place with Steam Powered Giraffe in it .
Today is the day that I began a 1-month sick leave from my job and started therapy. All because of the burn-out I got from doing the workload of three people at my job for the last 7 months (the company failed to hire 2 people to fill the open positions). Whilst still being yelled at for not doing it in the same time frame as 3 people would. This song made me shiver uncontrollably and cry my eyes out just now. It's okay, they're happy tears. I love SPG. 🤖🧡
This is so apropos for me right now, oddly enough. My hubby suffered heart and respiratory failure due to sleep apnea, he's only 54. There was minimal damage to his brain, because I called 911 super quickly. Right now though, he's dealing with memory issues and some other stuff. He's recovering right now in a nursing home environment and getting therapy. He DOES remember Steam Powered Giraffe though, even though he is a metal head at heart who used to play bass for a lot of bands he was in over the years, he does love himself some SPG! I hope one day after he recovers, he hears this song and maybe finds my comment, and knows how much he means to me.

Ya'll had me with "Honey Bee" waaay back when! I just watched it and then this video afterwards and I LOVE that you are still in San Diego doing music videos by the ocean! One critique is that you are less robotic-animated. You're movements are too smooth to be convincing enough that you're robotic. But the vocals and the harmony are AMAZING! So pure sounding, please keep doing what you're doing, it really is magic :)
I recently grabbed the first game from Prime Gaming and I knew SPG were in the game but when I started hearing Spine's voice I still geeked out about it.

Having another video shot in a nearby location is very cool, reminding me how much we've all changed over the years. I still have a little hand signed photo of the band from when I wrote y'all a letter for a class assignment at one point. I was the only one to actually get anything back, we each got to pick 'someone famous' to write to and I was quite fond of this little steam band so I wrote in, not expecting anything. I am new to Steam Powered Giraffe... gotta say this is a good introduction thatll get me to look up more. I find the movements odd but entertaining and unique. The song was very nice as well.
I really love hearing this song in SW:H2! I'm not big on the "gimmick" bands, but this doesn't really feel like one. The passion for the music really shines, the robot get-up is just a little extra flare.
