@@kaleemasilon8919 oh dude I am in no way offended by this at all, I just think its funny! Your not the first person to say that either. I'm not even offended by any of this banter about us ripping off the Residents, which I could see why someone would think that because of our music video idea, but thats not the case at all. I do like the Residents for the record, but my other bandmates aren't familiar, and the Minutemen kick ass, and Aidan likes Neutral Milk Hotel. Truth is, people can think whatever they want to think about our music, we all have our own opinions about things. To me, our music is truly just improv channelling at its essence, check out our Bandcamp. Its mostly just field recordings. over 330 releases.. Many different sounds and inspirations for sure. Always trying to do something different, so its kind of hard to pinpoint us at any one genre if you ask me. If I had to explain to someone I'd probably say Alt rock meets experimental I guess?

Sorry. I gotta disagree. Until I saw this, I used to say “I listen to everything”. Have this a full minute hoping I wasn’t wrong. I was. This is friggin awful. Give up on music. Stick with making eyeball flower masks. Those masks are literally the only thing I didn’t absolutely hate about this video. Errrr. I take all that back. I don’t want to be mean. Great job guys.

honestly I'm not a huge GBV fan and neither are my bandmates (I'm the drummer) but my dad loves them and that album is exceptionally good!
That song was pretty alright. It kind of slaps you across the face and leaves you wondering what just happened. Keep it up. Good video. Reminds me of Sex bo-omb from scott pilgrim. That sort of grudgey beck-ish style.

@@tarttooth6022 We aren't impersonating anyone actually, lol. We literally came up with the idea to call ourselves The Flowering Eyeballs back in 2014, and I just came up with the concept for this music video a few weeks ago because it goes with our name. We pull no inspiration from the Residents, I know who they are and respect their creativity, have watched a documentary years ago, but my other 2 bandmates barely know a thing about them. I find it comical that people have nothing better to do but make comparisons of other people's art, this guy is butt hurt because clearly they are his 'hero' and thinks we don't research something we didn't even take from. If we wanted to be Residents we would wear way bigger eyeballs that wrap around our whole head and put a top hat on top.

You know, the song is all about creating for your enjoyment and not caring if people like it or not. So I guess you're just reminding me. But I hope you aren't so unkind to others so casually. It only indicates fear, and I'm able to shake it off, but I find it irresponsible how you're willing to kind of throw a stick in a strangers spokes, you know? Your comment kind of bummed me out this morning, but I guess it's because I know I can sing better. Our next release will be even better. Anyways, gonna go enjoy a coffee now. Happy Monday 🎉
