Hey Everyone! This recipe is not recommended for my Alkaline viewers. It's vegan, but everyone's welcome to try it. If you're living the Alkaline lifestyle, check out this video instead: ruclips.net/video/ABRmuwLKieQ/видео.html Enjoy.
I substituted all oil with Grape seed oil and the hot orange pepper with crushed chilies. It came out so good, my family is demolishing this dish. Thank you Grubby
if you can get it, i seriously recommend using red palm oil. it has an intense umami smokiness too it that adds so much savoury depth to dishes. i’m sure it was absolutely delicious, but palm oil seriously elevates it
I will be making this one like all the others .. I truly appreciate you and your attention detail .. you are so easy follow and your recipes are absolutely delicious .. 💜
Listen! The way I ran to the African shop to buy the ingredients🏃🏾♀️😋 so delicious, my family loved it too! I love finding other meals from around the continent🌍 I just served it with some coconut spinach on the side and my family ate it with chicken wings as I’m the only veggie in the house 🤣 thanks so much for this recipe, it’s delicious🙏🏾 I also made your mushroom loaf for Christmas and it was delicious but I couldn’t find those big mushrooms here in the UK so the texture was a bit different but still so tasty in the end! Love your channel🧚🏾♀️💪🏾
Is this Red Red?! I was down because the only west African vegan spot closed in NYC. Red Red(without fish)and Kelewele were staples for me in Ghana. I'll definitely try this this weekend.
If that works for you, why not? I wanted the sweet potatoes to be soft... not crunchy or dry. It just has to melt in your mouth. That's why it's a comfort food in my dictionary. Also, I was trying to keep it as close to the traditional recipe as possible. Enjoy 😉

It's delicious. No, it's not red red. This is a little different.
Red red has tomatoes. I made it vegan before it’s so fire
Would this go good with okra added to the stew? 🤔 don’t know if that would ruin the taste, i just have a bunch of okra in my fridge🤣
You could also air fry the sweet potatoes before adding, adding them towards the end of cooking.

@@Grubanny In Sierra Leone, we fry the sweet potatoes and plantains, and sometimes add fried akara also.
