Today’s upload is a reminder of Wigan Casino. The 3 tracks were played at the Casino and very popular, In the case of track 3 Lightin Strikes, Lou Christie (MGM). It was Dave Evison’s no 1
in his very popular oldies hour. So I would assume The Torch originally. However it retained the
no 1 spot for at least 4 weeks. So became regularly played on Sunday morning. Making it a part
of Wigan Casino history. Track 1, Trouble, The Agents. I was told originated at Vava’s but again
very popular at the Casino so included. Track 2, When you’re Lonesome, Little Joe Roman. Is the
Only 1 of the 3, I’m fairly certain originated at Wigan Casino. But that’s not 100% certain at all.
But it was a big record and played extensively at Wigan Casino.
